I watched a video of a young woman who refurbishes vintage leather purses and she used dawn dish soap to soak and wash each purse. After washing she blotted the purse with old soft towels and kept some dry towels in the purse overnight to soak up any excess moisture. So dawn dish soap might work for your stained purse. Wonderful closet declutter. Merry Christmas.

Tip for keeping things from migrating to the dark space of the closet, slice a pool noodle or foam pipe cover to length and cover the bar so things cannot slide nor be slid into the black hole.

A combo of your suggestion plus the original comment would work well! Just cut a short piece of pool noodle - maybe 5/6 inches - slice it on one side so you can push it down (or up) onto the rod, and hang the out-of-season items on the far side of the piece of noodle. It would also come in handy if you get a day with rare, unseasonal weather, too. Just reach past and grab something from the out-of-season clothes for the day.

I’ve watched all of your videos and read your book twice, but I found this video where you talk through everything while you declutter your closet to be so focused and incredibly helpful. 😊 That’s why you’re the Space Maker! 💪🏼 Thank you!!

What about adding battery powered lights to the awkward areas in the closet? Won't help with storage, but at least you could see💕Maybe use that dead space for out of season or extra storage in plastic storage bins?
❤I wonder if a dry cleaner could get the stain out of your purse? Some specialize in leather and suede...🤔❤

April hi, just a constructive critisim: when you make a this kind of video, can you use ‘normalising sound’ option while editing? When you’re speaking in the room sound is low and when you speak closer to the camera suddenly it’s too high. I constanly had to fix the volume while watching. Normalising sound should fix this problem and make all the clips the same volume level 😊

Love the new place! Two ideas: while you have boxes kicking around from the move, what about boxing up off-season clothes in tall, narrow boxes to fill in that dark corner in the wardrobe? That way the hanging clothes won’t migrate over into the inaccessible area. And what about file-folding your jeans and putting them in the bed drawer by the foot?

Can't tell what the purse is made of, but if it is leather or vinyl, take it to a shoe repair shop. They have special solvents to clean shoes with that may work on the purse. If they can't clean it, you could talk to them about possibly dyeing it to a darker color. If it is fabric, try washing it and pretreat with a stain remover. If that fails, find a pretty patch to iron on or embroider over it. Also for your out of season items, I would put them in the dead space in the closet. That fills the space and will prevent your clothes from creeping back. Also a good place for the spare pillow or out of season bedding.

Regarding the Jeans-Flap turning outside. Try this: lay flat and spray with ironing starch, press with Iron on higher Mode that still works for your Jeans. Only press down, then weight with Books of Sth. Really Heavy and let ist overnight. Should flat the Flap back in form. After each wasching do Not let dry completly an just weigh again the flap if it tries to turn the wrong side again. Have this issue with my loved Jeans Jacken Pocket flap and Thats How it works to my flap. Hope it works for you too.

April, for the glassed area where you've hung your coats, if you don't want mess around with curtains and you still would like to have light in the room and retain the streamlined look of the space, you could put film on the glass. You can buy a plain frosted look or any number of patterns and they sell some that cuts UV rays and is still transparent, but smoked. Theres a whole variety and it's all pretty cheap and not hard to install. Especially if Jackson helps you by literally being extra hands! You can buy it a ton of places, but Amazon has bottomless choices!

I was so looking forward to watching more of Mary's episode, and this one came up. I hopped on my computer to see if I missed it. I hope you post the video soon. To be honest I really enjoy watching you help other people declutter their lives. I have helped other people clear out the clutter. And the best part is seeing the person afterwards feel like they are in control again. My suggestion is taking 20 minutes and start on a corner. In 20 minutes its surprising how much can get cleared out, organized and decluttered. It helps to move onto another 20 minutes and another corner. Thank you for posting these I know it's a lot of work. But it is much appreciated!

Your new home is gorgeous - thank you for sharing! Maybe put pop lights in the dark side of the closets so you can have some automatic illumination when you open the door. There's no wiring required and the light will be a reminder that something is back there.

Vertical storage shown by Bonnie her channel is called a beautiful mess. It's a game changer everything is visable and does not come unfolded when mooved.

My parents installed a clothing rod for jackets in a little space before a window too. Unfortunately all the jackets got sun damaged at one side.. so they had to throw a lot of it out 😅

I’m wondering if for the funky fly on those jeans if you could get a piece of blue twill tape or something more rigid but thin sewn on the backside of the fly to keep it from stretching out.

It's been forever since we've seen you reorganize your own space. I've always liked a peak into your everyday organization. I'm not even sure where you are living. Are you back in Korea?

Thank you for sharing. Please be mindful of clothes in your sun room. The sun could cause fading. I have had this happen to my clothes.
