    I didn't even notice when Longines first introduced the new Hydroconquest, because I've always found the previous one fairly unattractive, but seeing this one (a green version) in the flesh I was blown away. At this pricepoint this watch barely has any competition at the moment. Even the true GMT movement they made is idiot-proof because you can change the date back and forth via the independent hour hand.
    In short, Sinn will have to try real hard in order to steer me away from making this my next choice. And this Longines is so good it could be my last choice, at least for a really long time.

      Hi K, I absolutely take your point here. Sinn use Sellita movements and it's time they gave us a new traveller GMT calibre. Sinn could always use the Kenissi GMT movement though, now that would really be worth buying!

    I came across this watch and fell in love with the brown on this. I’ve had a couple of cheap watches and a g shock mudmaster so this is my the most expensive purchase I’ve made next to my suits. Can’t wait for this to arrive on Monday.

    not many brands release brown dialers so kudos to them for that, think I would prefer the bezel to be matt though and then yeah as you say super 70s baby - now where are those john player specials 🤪🤪🤪

      For me, if there has no green dial, I will go to brown dial.
      At the AD, I actually wear them on my left and right hand for AB comparison. Due to my skin color tone is dark, the brown dial seems disappeared in my wrist, so I choose the Oliver green. But I feel that for a suit, brown dial is perfect.

    Fit and finish? That insert that’s poorly fitted says otherwise. It’s sticking up above the bezel. I’m just not a fan of combining two different watch styles. In this case, for example, a GMT and a diver.

    • @ClickSpringReview
      @ClickSpringReview  10 місяців тому +2

      I like the way it stands proud , the fit of the end links its so tight , the clasp is also nicely done and then there is the dial and hands the finish is spot on, I see what you mean about a diver also being a GMT.
      Rolex GMT master 2 looks like a diver as its housed in what is a submariner case just with a slimmer case-back thats being doing well for the 65 years.
      I don't mind it as as long as the dial isnt to busy and I think they nailed with this one Luna

  • @herespresso
    @herespresso 27 днів тому +1

    Does the bracelet have screwed links?

  • @wisamal-hakim5531
    @wisamal-hakim5531 10 місяців тому +3

    This is very nice but I wouldn’t say faultless.
    Changing the hour hand makes the GMT hand wobble. A lot. which I really don’t like.
    The case edges are fine but could have done with some gentle bevelling. Bracelet not especially refined but does the job.
    The star of the show is the colour way and the look of the watch. I think it looks lovely and the brown is sublime. I’d go so far as to say even a two tone case and bracelet might work with this.
    Great review as always Barry

    • @ClickSpringReview

  • @Hectorsdad
    @Hectorsdad 10 місяців тому +2

    It looks quite a mixture of styles to me. Also, I’m not personally a fan of brown watch faces, but it may look completely different in the metal as watches so often do. I’ve never understood the point of 120 click bezels, but that’s just showing my ignorance no doubt on how a dive bezel should function.

      Longines came out with this model back in the 2000s . The old Seamsters I'd say is very different with their distinctive hands and and hexagonal ish shaped bezel and horrible bracelet :)

    What a weird dial

  • @gordtulk
    @gordtulk 10 місяців тому +2

    Checked it out about a month ago- intending to by the blue dial.
    Bezel action was AWFUL. Far too stiff but but what truly killed the deal was the flat - Ill-fitting flat profile of the case.
    No sale.
    Instead bought a Bremont descent 2.

    • @ClickSpringReview
      @ClickSpringReview  10 місяців тому +1

    • @gordtulk
      @gordtulk 10 місяців тому +2

      @@ClickSpringReview perhaps the example I had was an anomaly- the bezel was very very stiff to rotate.
