I went as small as I thought I could maintain on my own, knowing that if I want them bigger later i can always combine, but the reverse is not always possible.
I’ve had my sister locs for 6.5 years now and it was the best decision I’ve made hair wise, I’ve tried to maintain my hair but with a million locs, that didn’t last long, I’ve also gotten lazy because I wear it straight most times 🤣🤣🤣, and ponytail because of working out and in the summertime hair on my neck is not the vibe
@@JOSETTEBIANCA I initially wanted small locs. That was the intent, to make them small and cute sized. But the parting that I'd done didn't add up to the amount I still currently want. This was my first time doing my own locs and I didn't know then like I know now that I should have planned ahead as far as the parting and how many locs I was looking to achieve. The great part is that my hair turned out to be beautiful but when it comes to versatility with curl styles. I don't have any. I feel my locs are too thick to maintain a good curl. I wish I had a way to post a pic of my hair in here to show you.
@@JOSETTEBIANCA I added you and sent you a dm on Instagram. I'm sorry about the multiple pics lol I sent 4 to show you what I meant. To me my locs are a bit thick and have tried different curls styles and the only one curl I can seem to get is after a twist out.
I want small or micro-sized. I think my strands are coarse. This is giving me a lot to think about, because God willing, I am getting my hair done tomorrow. Very nervous. I know I want them because when I took my hair down to wash it, it took about two to three hours just to comb, wash, and put into giant twists. I need locs. Lol
@@JOSETTEBIANCA not yet. The girl doing me and my mom’s hair only knows how to do soft locs, which I am learning are faux locs. I tried to cancel, but it was too late. I will have to wait for some other time.

Loll I feel you. I’m really enjoying this short length right now
I'm thinking about going from 75 locs to 150. But I'm so in love with my locs the way they are now. I don't know what to do.
If you’re in love with them, why change them?

Haha yes I know that feeling. Did you end up starting your loc journey?

Thanks for this! You are an inspiration. I have similar hair and will be starting my journey soon

I also have high density hair but I have medium/small parting sizes so I am worried how small they’ll come out
