Would love to see a 10 minute video of actual cold calling concealing military secrets with beeps of course. The Good The Bad and The Ugly! If you haven't already made such a video
I’m thinking something like: Prospect: I’m sorry I’m not the person to talk to. You: I totally understand and I appreciate you taking my call. Who can you get me on the phone with so that I can help you help your company? (If they give you a name ask for a phone number or email. If not…) Prospect: I’m sorry we’re really just not interested. You: No problem that makes perfect sense. I’ve had a lot of people tell me the same thing in the past and they’ve felt the same way. What I have found is that after giving them some more information they see the value in our product/service. Before I get off the phone could you give me the information of someone who I can contact to help your business. (If they give you the information great. If not…) Prospect: I’m sorry I just really don’t think this is for us. You: That makes perfect sense and I respect you taking the time to speak with me. This at least gives you two more chances to get to the decision maker.
@@spenceranderson7483 hey Spencer I've a couple questions I'd like to ask you, I also wouldn't mind if you could recommend me to a social group where I could get advice regarding account executive
@@___the_king_rc4514 I’m by no means an expert and I don’t know much about account executives. All I can recommend is to continue to follow people like Trent who are giving you the REAL information.
Love your videos, got a lot of value. Thank u man. Can you do a video in the future about how to handle the budget objection during the sales call when the offer has been made? (not the cold call)?
Also, I recently graduated from college. I dont have a lot of experience. I believe i will get an offer for a (SDR+ AE) role where i only cold call and try to close at the same time. Is that more valuable in terms of experience and how it will look on my resume?
Interesting how sales differs between industries. When you say “ how are you? “ in the real world people say that and no one really gives a shit and it’s worthless as explained to me by one of my old bosses. He’s right. You don’t actually care how that person over the phone is. You don’t know them. You want something. They know that. . It screams to us as a customer who are programmed to this: “ this is a sales call” ESCAPE “ You ask for 30 seconds you give them an option to stall. In my industry I don’t ask for anything. I go on until I get a stall and then I…. 1.) acknowledge ….( not validate ) that stall. “ yeah I hear ya” or “ I totally understand “ 2.) respond….. “ all my prospects are busy and booked up, you’re not alone. “ 3.) move on…. Questions questions questions. Ask them something that pertains to what you’re trying to move toward at the next part of your spiel but ties in on keeping attention. This throws them off big time. And if they really wanted to hang up they would. They easily would.
Thank you Trent, love your videos as always. the most common question I had on my call is "not a priority for me" "not relevant to my role or my team". What would be the best way from your perspective to do the rebuttal? TA :)

LOVE ur hustle! "be blind to the grind until you shine." 👍👍
Can we get a video on how lining up at midnight at Best Buy for the latest Call of Duty release has benefitted your future sales self?

I would love a video on "I'm not the right guy to talk to" or "I don't handle purchasing decisions". Those ones are killing me lately.

🤝
Defiantly appreciate the value in this video! would love to hear how you deal with the infamous " SEND ME AN EMAIL" 😅
To make sure it doesn't get sorted into your Trash bin, what would you like me to include in the email?
Great vid bro
Thank you

Hey Trent, what do you do when you ask for their time, but they object to you saying that they want more info or to email them.
"Usually it's a better use of your time to actually set up a call rather than review an email that may not speak exactly to what you care about most"
@@TrentDressel Thanks brother
Hi what advice do you have for a all in one role (SDR+AE) where you’re expected to call educate and seal the deal on the same call?
50K cold calls! Goals! 🙂
You’ll get there
You should bring on David Osborn, CSO @ Insightly
Put time stamps in your vids
