I'm really excited to get this set because I feel I have to collect every kyrie hero for the sole reason they give a second in command, feel. Just like Raelin to Jandar. One day I'd like to do scenarios where armies are fighting it out, but to win, you have to kill the leader, and the leader must be a kyrie hero
How do these paint jobs compare to the paint on the preview AoA Master Set figures you reviewed a couple of months ago? These look good! Concerned maybe too good for what everyone else will get.
Regarding the skirt-capes... I suppose it's not like they can have capes that go *all* the way up their back. I like the feathered skirt on Glinerva in particular -- it enhances her crow profile, forming the 'tail'.
Wonder if that green base is intentional to make paint app easier or not. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt, but it would not be the first painting mishap. Nor the second, or the third…
Hopefully the 24-hexers are being refined. I know it's super important, especially since Renegade wants gamers of other games (like BattleTech) to use HS terrain (which is why they are calling terrain expansions a terrain "system").
Really like the sculpts on all the new figures, but the paint jobs couldn't be more blah. Even a beginner painter with about 30 minutes watching some painting basics along with a bit of wash should be able to make something that look 100x better. It is also annoying to me that they got rid of the base stickers. If I purchased the new figs, I think this would drive me crazy.
@@badgermaniac1 I agree I don’t like the bases… but the reasoning for that is so people can customize their bases with flocking or sand or paint it uniquely. things like that
"Valkyrie" is not pronounced "Val-kere-ri" so why would we pronounce "Kyrie" as "Kere-ri"? I've been saying "Kai-ri" my whole life and will continue to say it like that.
Looking forward for Aquilla and Vydar kyrie.
These miniatures seem to have a better paint job than to the wave 1 figures. Which is a win!
@@lucashedtke7980 they do look really good
10:37 First Kyrie for Vydar (not counting VC)
@@GaryLASQ true true, forgot about that too!

@@armageddon_gaming heck yeah!
Sounds sort of like the magic the gathering set where you had to get through the army to kill the plains walker
@@bobboivin1033 pretty much yeah
This is actually not the first place I saw an unboxing, another channel did this a week ago, but the figures look neat. . .again!
@@Classyfabulous111 shhhhh…don’t tell anyone

The green base is new. Interesting
It's not painted 😂

I'd always pronounced "Kyrie" as if I were saying "Valkyrie," which is where it's derived from. I've never heard anyone say Val-Kai-Ree.
If you were saying like Valkyrie, wouldn’t it sound like “Val-curry”?
Those do look good! And a few minutes of small custom paint details added and they will really pop
That green base makes me glad I ordered an unpainted set.

They did confirm on the renegade discord it's a mistake on that individual mini and not how the rest will look like
lmao
@@kriptonite981 that's a shame. I actually really like the way it looks
Skirt / cape may be tailfeathers
premium painted 🗣
very cool! not a fan of the green base, seems like a paint error
Big fan of the quality of the figures, both here and in past AoA!!!
All I want to know is whether the Lands of Valhalla hexes (of every size) are good enough to not break my old hexes.

Pre-ordered from my game store, do you know when these will be in? Also will preview the other wave 2 figures?
Sadly i didn't get the painted ones but im getting mine tomorrow!
It looks paintjobs are getting better compared to the AoA Master Set. I think the painted minis are they way to go if the quality is like this set.
A green base?! 🤨
Another noble figure for nobleman nick?!!

Skirt cape? You mean a 'Scape skape?
Pretty disappointed with the paint quality so far. Definitely a step down from legacy HS. I hope the expansions are better!
