    So well read , it is a very thought-provoking book .Mr Wells had his finger on the pulse of spacetime. When will this universe give up its secrets to mankind , who is still scabbing about in a dark cave . There goes time and space , sharpening it's blade on emptiness.

    Could you please do Salem's Lot? For the same reasons as you stated, let's make sure we are looking at scary creature of the night! As it was originally written and let's also request Nosferatu the silent film that resembles the Vampire on Salem's Lot. Both movies would be excellent. Thank you for the time you take on the comments left and your willingness to produce what is requested. Melinda

    • @gatesofimagination
      @gatesofimagination  4 місяці тому +3

      Nosferatu is actually an adaptation of Bram Stoker's Dracula, which is already on the channel: ua-cam.com/video/8V2okfFcXio/v-deo.html . Salem's Lot is still under copyright protection, and we cannot legally record it.

    The narrators voice and presentation is perfect for this novel, unfortunately, the constant commercial interruptions completely ruin any amount of enjoyment that could be gained from listening to this. I could not get through the first chapter without three political ads. I have to give a thumbs down

    Interesting enough story. But the narrator's voice is so dully generic. His voice lacks flavour, cadence, nuance, humour and paythoss!🤭
    He may as well be reading out his food shopping list.🥰

  • @redstrat1234
    @redstrat1234 Місяць тому

    Awful. The 'time traveller' is pretty much giving us a flat monotone 3.5 hour lecture, with little of the rise and fall and emotion of normal speech.
    He's presenting the group/us with the most incredible, unique, science defying machine ever built, and it's being narrated to us like he's describing the driving characteristics of an '87 Peugeot 205 with 90k on the clock - for the 23rd time (but with infinitely less enthusiasm).
    Put some emotion into it, narrate it like you're actually involved, that you mean it.
    Dear god...how to make an astounding adventure story come across like a walk to the shops, in the rain, to pick up some dry cleaning.

      It's spoken like the group (old friends) hardly know each other. And the 'time traveller' is pretty much giving us a flat monotone lecture, with little rise and fall, emotion of normal speech.
      He's presenting the group/us with the most incredible, unique, science defying machine ever built, and it's being narrated to us like he's describing the driving characteristics of a 1982 Peugeot 205 (but with much less enthusiasm).
