How To Install A Coolant Overflow Tank

In this video i show how to install a universal coolant recovery overflow tank. This procedure can be used on any vehicle. The Tank is Aluminum, 7.5 inches tall, comes with mounting hardware, and hose, its a generic brand purchased on Amazon. Link below.

In order for that to suck coolant back into the radiator once it cools you need a closed system rad cap. My hose is connected to the cap of the overflow bottle and the other end is connected under the radiator cap. I used an overflow jug from a 1980 Z28 for my 70 Z28. I was able to test this out cause I owned a 80 the same time I had my 70.
