    I had a Bolt for 4 years It was awesome. Just upgraded to a Blezer EV RS best vehicle I ever owned so cool and sporty but still practical. This is THE EV. Never gas again.

    If any vehicle is screaming for a cheaper LS trim, it's this Blazer EV. With rims smaller than 19", NO freakin' sunroof that eats into headroom, and memory seats? Fuggetaboutit.
    Also disappointed I see that silly steering column shifter.

    Fun Fact: Back in 1966 Chevy teased a car to compete with the Mustang. They were going to call it either the "Camaro" or the "Caramout".
    (True story) Thankfully cooler heads prevailed.

    When all those flashy lights and fancy features break, which on GM, they always do, how much is it going to cost to repair it and who will do that work?

      EVs sold 15 million worldwide this year, up over 35% from last year. Kick and scream all you want, but EVs are the future.

    Two weeks ago you posted a report that concluded the actual cost of EV use equated to over $17/gallon of gasoline. Has anything changed since two weeks ago?

    • @blipco5
      @blipco5 8 місяців тому

      Lauren failed to mention that the study she alluded to was paid for by Exxon/Mobil, Chevron and the Koch brothers. So that’s really all you need to know. But, that $17 figure included infrastructure costs 😂. If you need facts just ask people with EV's and ask them how much it costs to get 200 miles of range.

    • @CarCoachReports
      @CarCoachReports  8 місяців тому +3

      It was NOT paid for by Big Oil. I post the facts and review all vehicles fairly for those that want EVS. Personally, I won’t buy one. But you should be able to buy what ever you want, gas, hybrid, plugin or EV.

      @@CarCoachReportsOh, yes, you are very fair on your EV reviews tho I know you don’t like them. Someday I’ll own one but we’re not there yet. 400 mile range, 15 minute charge time, 100% recyclable batteries, sub $30K. My 2013 Accord Sport still has another ten years in it so I have time.

    As good looking and functional as this SUV, I will still get the ugly Tesla Y. Y is cheaper, lighter, and holds about same amount of stuff if not more. Furthermore, I don’t have to deal with slower charging stations, broken charging stations, and 100 different apps on my phone to charge a non-Tesla EV. Lastly, if you want Apple CarPlay in a Tesla, it’s as easy as 1-2-3 with different after market DIY kits. Tesla maybe ugly but Chevy still got a long way to go, not a game changer not even close.

    I just don't get it. Calling that a Blazer. A Real Blazer is a 4×4 with a truck chassis. Have the libs really beat consumers down that low? More like an EV Acadia pos! That's as much a Blazer as a mustang mach e is mustang. The auto manufacturers must think their customers will buy anything overpriced and new. What a 💩

    • @TroySavary
      @TroySavary 8 місяців тому +1

      Blazer hasn't been the traditional Blazer for years. Nothing to do with EVs. I would have liked to have seen the Blazer EV bring back the Bronco competitor too, but this is aimed at the buyers of the gas Blazer crossover. Which is unfortunate, because they akready have the Trax, Equinox, and Trailblazer names to cover the crossover market.

    there is a saying among past EV owners who witnessed there homes burned down or there EV catch fire due to water damage, or they traded there EV in for a combustion auto because the range on there EV did not match there expectations. With all this said and seeing more and more EV's catching fire in dealer lots or home garages all to see on the national news make you wonder are EV's a good investment for you. Are they worth you or your loved ones losing there lives due to an EV just busting into flames. Now I understand there are some hard liners out there who feel EV's are the wave of the future as for me I am not convinced and will never own an EV. Thanks

    • @bauch69
      @bauch69 8 місяців тому +2

      You will eventually own an EV unless you die or decide to have no car. It's gonna be like that everywhere in the world. Also, this whole argument abut EV catching fire is ridiculous. ICE or EV, it's rare that a car catch fire or explode compare to the amount of cars on the road everyday. You have war more chance to see an ICE explode compare to an EV. The main difference why people think EV catch fire more is because when it happen, the fire takes forever to stop.

      Ha! Those were the days of driving where you actually looked out the window and watched other cars and the scenery. These days you spend all your time while driving trying to figure out how to change features on the dash or being entertained and you let the car worry about the road, drive itself.

      @@CarCoachReportshaving repaired vehicles for over 50 years i can tell you that the weight is a huge issue. Batteries weigh alot whether they are dead or fully charged, its the same both ways. Why does it need 500 plus HP? Everything on the vehicle is going to suffer bc of weight. Lots of plastic, thin body panels etc all to save weight due to the excessively heavy drivetrain. One fender bender and its over. Insurance premiums will reflect the obvious.
