"Ayds" candies, was made by the Campanna company in Batavia, IL.
I grew up two towns north and we'd drive by the factory all the time when I was a kid.
We all knew it as the "Ayds" building.
This was BEFORE AIDS was even a thing.
The outbreak of AIDS is what actually killed the product.
It was actually pretty popular, until the mid-80's.
It now houses several smaller businesses, one of which used to be a costume warehouse for local community and school theatre productions. (I only know this because I worked for that business years ago.)

I know it’s been ages since Jack’s done one of these, but I have the perfect thing for him to laugh at: the Jim Henson Wilkins Coffee commercials. There’s action! There’s drama! There’s explosions! There’s puppets! There’s a gag that was taken to nearly every extreme possible and proved so jaw-drop memorable and WTF and funny, it inspired both Mr. Bill and the Pizza Hut talking pizza commercials! These commercials pre-date the Muppets, and they are kind of like a coffee-obsessed Kermit taking personal offense to somebody who really doesn’t care for their favorite brand, and expressing their feelings on the matter with murder.

Just an FYI this is the proper Australian way to drink goon: first it has to be very, very cheap. Then you take it out of the box and carry the sack (goonbag) around like a baby and drink directly from it's tap. When you're done, blow through the tap to inflate the bag, and use it as a pillow when you eventually curl up to sleep in the garden.
