Thank you so much for posting this. But can you help me with something? I can't get to the page which you have at 04:25 in your video where you see the options for Transcribe Sequence, Create New Caption Track, or Import Captions from File. Clicking CAPTIONS at the top should show me this. But when I click on it, all I see are my Spanish captions that I already created (I'm trying to translate from Spanish to English). I've tried everything but I can't find this page you that you have. Thank you.

@1:44 i have the 2024 version of premiere pro and my options for transcribing are not the same. under the caption section, it has " create captions from transcript", "create new caption track" and "import captions from file" but it does not have "transcribe sequence". Am i missing something? when i go to the transcribe section, it just wants me to select each of my imported files to transcribe. Also, it wont let me take what i have said in Spanish and transcribe it as Spanish. I don't see where any of the language options would be. its only a section of my video thats in Spanish, not the whole thing. did i set up my project incorrectly? my only work around to add English subtitles to the sections of videos with Spanish is to just add the translations directly to my video by adding text over the whole video and type out everything.

Thanks so much for this tutorial! I was wondering, when I get to 4:30, for some reason, I see my original captions and I'm unable to import the translated captions because those settings don't appear :s any workaround or other ways I can import them in the project? I don't know why it's doing this....

Exactly same problem with me. I am unable to import the translated captions, it only allows when you delete the entire sequence and import the captions to a fresh sequence. Adding translated subtitles manually appears to be more easy options if you have small clips.

Do you guys have the transcript with the original language subtitle in your project already when you trying to import the translated version? That my be the reason you don't have the option to import, maybe remove that first and see if that will give you the option. What I am looking for myself is to create multiple subtitles in the same project without having to delete and import documents every time you want to swap to a subtitle in a different language. I wish to have multiple subtitles saved in one place within the project to choose which sub to include during the preview and/or exports. Any thoughts anyone?

Awesome video! Very helpful. So, I finished my video and while my video is spoken in English, I also want subtitles in English. (Hearing impaired and also for people who have to view it with sound off.) With that said, I translated it to Spanish. It doesn't give me the option to add the new Spanish file since there are already subtitles in English.

Is it better to make multiple same videos with different subtitles or create one video with multiple subtitles? I would like my subtitles in English because sometimes people have to turn off sound, but also would like subtitles in Spanish and Simplified Chinese. There is one way for you to transcribe, translate and download a translation using UA-cam, the only downside is that it's pretty time-consuming. It requires you to upload your content to YT. Set the language accordingly and wait for YT to transcribe it in the original language. As well as using YTs auto-captions to download their provided translation. It can also be used as a great starting point but you're going to have to wait a bit since YT can take some time to create auto captions.
