I have celiac disease also and when I was finally diagnosed and cut gluten from my diet, it literally changed my life. I went from, I don't think I can keep living this way to, being happy to being alive again. My challenge now, a small one comparatively, is eating out without getting contaminated. Restaurants still don't know how to make safe gluten-free food. Cross-contamination is a huge problem.

Wow, fantastic ending, amazing ! They say if you can't figure out what is happening, check for Celiac or Hashimoto's, the sypmtoms are quite similar. When your symptoms are all over the place ! Crazy !

I'm thankful for people like you. I kept getting violently ill on and off. but recently right after eating. I never took it to account but it was things like bread that made me unable to move. I was just curled up in a ball next to a bucket on and off for years now. I'm surpised my doctors didn't figure it out sooner given my blood tests were crazy.

Ohhh I can feel it so badly as well. Mine was severe in other ways. Also affected the nervous system especially the sympathic nervous system. Constantly had attacks of heart racing with 150-170 BPM and blood pressure spikes to 230/120 ish. Later on problems talking / finding words were present and tingling sensation on one face side... Luckily after endocrinology / heart specialist my home doctor run celiac blood work and voila... Had my answer. After getting vitamins back to normal level and cutting gluten out I felt better than I have felt the last 5 years. ❤
Celiac truely is a chameleon with a lot of faces. 😢 Good luck everyone finding out your proper diagnosis

I had a stroke like event 8 months ago. But it wasn’t. No one can figure it out. I’ve been to multiple neurologists and only found i happen to have arthritis in my spine. But Im in gastric distress all the time. I completely ignore it. I had my gallbladder removed 4 years ago and assume it’s that. But no one I know without a gallbladder is in the distress that I am. Could I have celiac?

Hi there, we recommend asking your doctor about celiac disease. If you think it may be celiac it is a good idea to ask for testing!

@@annberlin5811 Yes someone else like me who suggests the most logical approach to suspecting Celiac is to go gluten free and see if it makes a difference.

This video was so stressful to me. I would have preferred a more light-hearted approach. Not sure an already serious condition needs to be made to seem even more serious

Thanks for your feedback. We're trying to raise awareness that sometimes the disease doesn't present with stomach symptoms. We'll take your feedback into consideration for future.
