It's not just for outsiders, but also for Ethiopians like me who haven't traveled much within our country. Ethiopia is full of different people and traditions. Just a short three-hour drive can show you something new. Thanks for helping us all see and appreciate this.
Hospitality shown in this video was absolutely beautiful. African are some of the most humble, kindest people on the planet. But Sonny is probably one of the most genuine UA-camrs out there. 7 years ago I got carbon monoxide poisoning...it shut down my hemoglobin production, my bone marrow began dying and I've suffered through severe trauma. I'm 44 years old and have had double knee replacements, both hips pinned, MULTIPLE spinal, kidney, internal surgeries...it's been a living hell. If this next surgery doesn't take I'll be on a feeding tube for life. I have a GF at Lifecrash...check it out...my story is documented. But at least I'm ALIVE!!!😁

I am Ethiopian and I would not eat some of the things you ate such as uncooked stomach. I would say you are very brave. The dorze people are one of the most friendly with amazing culture in Ethiopia.
I think Dorze is my favorite tribe in Ethiopia. Amazing houses, spacious and the houses look strong. Their clothing, weaving skills and i even noticed the wooden forks. They are very crafty.
I just left Ethiopia and spent time with the Dorze! I learned how to make Kocho from Inset/False banana it was a very interesting taste and fascinating how it’s processed. They are excellent weavers. Their elephant shaped houses are something out of a storybook! I really enjoyed my thing with the Dorze! So cool to see you there!

Ethiopia has 85 different languges and tribes. All of them have different food. But the main one which is eaten everywhere is Injera. We Ethiopians do not try to change ancient tribes. They can live like they have done for 1000s of years. Sonny himself is a different bread. Most people who watch this would never do what he does. Maximum respect to the gentleman!

Forgot to say I looooove Ethiopian food. I first had it in NYC and injeera swept me off my feet. I had Ethiopian food 2 times in the last week in the USA before I put all my stuff in storage and set off abroad. The spice is real, but their veggie dishes are soooo good. And something about eating with my hand in public in a messy saucy way kinda feels comforting.

In my country Philippines,we also have a dish called “Papaetan or Papaitan” that they use bile and innards ,liver and heart all internal parts of of a goat or cow . Without the bile it’s not delicious 🤤 I alway love the bitter taste of papaitan . You must try it . This dish is very famous in Ilocos and province Isabela. When i was a small child I saw many times how my Uncle’s and cousin’s slaughter and prepared cow,pig and goat for the papaitan .Blood of cow or pig are also use for “dinuguan “ it was truly delicious!
21:13 I don't know if I'll ever get over just how insanely good looking the people are and how adorable & happy all the kids are in these remote regions. It seems like the most remote villages across the world have the most gorgeous women, the most handsome men, the most adorable children, and everyone seems incredibly happy & grateful. Maybe every seems so "beautiful" because they're happy. But I spend 3/4 of my time in the US looking at a bunch of miserable god damned goblins. It HAS to be the much more humble and natural life. All us honkies in the states has tens of thousands in debt and appear to have been , "rode hard & put up wet." There's NO WAY that's a coincidence...

In my country Philippines,we also have a dish called “Papaetan or Papaitan” that they use bile and innards ,liver and heart all internal parts of of a goat or cow . Without the bile it’s not delicious 🤤 I alway love the bitter taste of papaitan . You must try it . This dish is very famous in Ilocos and province Isabela. When i was a small child I saw many times how my Uncle’s and cousin’s slaughter and prepared cow,pig and goat for the papaitan .Blood of cow or pig are also use for “dinuguan “ it was truly delicious!

I don't know if I'll ever get over just how insanely good looking the people are and how adorable & happy all the kids are in these remote regions. It seems like the most remote villages across the world have the most gorgeous women, the most handsome men, the most adorable children, and everyone seems incredibly happy & grateful. Maybe every seems so "beautiful" because they're happy. But I spend 3/4 of my time in the US looking at a bunch of miserable god damned goblins. It HAS to be the much more humble and natural life. All us honkies in the states has tens of thousands in debt and appear to have been , "rode hard & put up wet." There's NO WAY that's a coincidence...

We have that false banana in my province but we never use it and we thought it's a useless plant since it's not bearing any fruit 😅 and seeing here that they use it from Root to Leaves is amazing!!
I can see how much Andrew Zimmerman influenced Sonny's willingness to try everything just as the locals/tribes do. Getting the real exposure to, not only how people eat and survive, but also how a culture lasts or adapts through time.
