    Just bought one of these today, a 2015 S5 3.0 V6 TFSI with 44k miles on the clock, and red/black leather/Alcantara interior. Astonishing performance, and as you say, sleeper looks. Great video btw.

    Best car I ever owned, traded it in for a 2020 RS5 but I enjoyed the S5 more, having owned M4’s and C63S I’d take the S5 over all of those. Brilliant car and super reliable!!

    just found this, im thinking of getting one of these, currently a S3 stage 2, im older now 62 and want a tourer, was mulling over a 2 door coupe as im on my own, and I did like the 5 things you hate, the S3 is the same, it blares all the time as I drive in highland Scotland

    Love my S5, got every extra going except the 360 degree rear camera. Can’t fault the car at all. Just booked it in for a stage 1 remap so I’m excited to tweek the engine a little now.

      @macswhips  2 роки тому +1

      Yeah they are fantastic aren't they. Mine wasn't even fully fully spec'd and it was a wonderful place to be on a day to day. Remaps sounds exciting, you can take them up to RS5 levels of power I'm led to believe. Is that what you are aiming for?

    • @simonmoore3546
      @simonmoore3546 2 роки тому

      @@macswhips yes bud I wouldn’t trade mine for anything. Stage 1 will get my 400bhp then I’m aiming for 450-500bhp and that’ll do me I think? Really want to change the exhaust though to the RS oval pipes, seems quite difficult to do though?

    • @macswhips
      @macswhips  2 роки тому

      @@simonmoore3546 I hear you. I would have one again in a heartbeat. Yes I think that would be enough! 😂the standard power is enough to beat 85% of road users...400BHP would be fantastic. Pipes sound great, are you doing that for performance, aesthetic or sound?

    • @simonmoore3546
      @simonmoore3546 2 роки тому

      @@macswhips yeah I agree fully, not many cars will sit them when they take off. Kinda want to change the pipes for all 3 reasons you mentioned but I don’t want anything too loud. Maybe a slightly deeper grumble than the Dynamic setting plus I really love the oval pipes. It’s all money when you start down this road eh haha. I love the colour of your interior, stands out a bit as it’s different 🙌🏻

      @@simonmoore3546 Yeah I get that, some exhausts are just too snap, crackle and pop for my liking these days. It really can be expensive. Unfortunately, but also thankfully for my wallet, mine was only a 3 year lease so I couldn't really modify it. But yeah loved the red, thought it was maybe a bit much at first, but it was a deeper red than I first thought so loved it by the end.

      I'm just in my old A3 at the moment, also got my 106 on the drive that I'm slowly restoring! Looking at getting something new but not too sure whether to go for something big and comfortable or something quick again as I am doing quite a lot of mileage at the moment

    Enjoyed and agreed with your lovely comments. Just got myself the A5 B9.5 35TFSI. The S5 is too costly in Singapore. Love the interior, drive and quietness of this coupe like sedan. Missed although the BM’s quick button access to favourites, though the MMI is great.

      Thanks Vincent, I appreciate your comment. Yeah the A5's are lovely cars, I was considering one myself now the S5 has gone. What BM did you have? Do you live in Singapore? I've only been once, but I love it out there.

      Sorry for the slow reply Vincent, this was hidden in my comment section for some reason. Fantastic that you live in Singapore, I bet the car wasn’t cheap.
      I know people who live there who comment on the tax on cars! Did you prefer BMW or the Audi?

    Hello. I loved your video and the car.
    I am close to buying 2017 sportback S5 TFSI but it has 98,000 miles (158K km) on it. Would you say it is reliable enough to buy it even now ? I know its important who had it before but i dont know, its a random used car dealership. Thank you

      Thanks Tadija, really appreciate it. If it has been looked after then I think so. Its really hard to say but that mileage isn't too much if its been cared for.
