Thanks for showing step-by-step how to install these brackets. It's taken a few tries but I finally replicated your good work. One of my flanges was badly mangled and I really struggled to get the metal straight enough for the bracket to align at a 90 degree angle to the punched holes. I finally just bolted the bracket dangling in place at an angle, slipped my jack under one edge, lifted gently, and popped the bracket into place using the hydraulic pressure. It finally worked and it fits perfectly. Thanks again.
Great video, man! I just ordered mine. I bought my car (2002 Camaro SS 35th T-top) from a collector about a year ago @ 3,900 miles, and there's about 6,000 on there now. Don't get me wrong; I love the ZR1 content and THAT is the car that I aspire to, and exactly that color. I believe that was 2009-2011 only. I want my "Blue Devil" to actually be that beautiful blue. There is actually a jacking block which I think normally attaches to those two holes(the ones you tapped) on my car. Cool stuff but, damm $125.00 for those brackets if you got a welder you cam make up something for pennies ... for the same result
You probably could. I like that DSE even cares about these dinosaurs lol
@@TWAMotorsports true ... going through 2 builds know and it's cool there are compnies who still support the 4th gen cars but they want a arm and leg for parts. .. I almost fell over when I saw the price... ... lol
@@maldo72 lol
@@TWAMotorsports subbed to your channel cool to see guys doing 4th body stuff ... ...
@@maldo72 thank you. I hope to get back on fbody stuff at some point.
My 99 I bought was bent to crap
That sucks
Seriously dump those decarbon stock shocks!
I will at some point.
Waste of money all my years of owning f body never heard this issue with the cars
It's not for everyone. About 90% of these cars I have owned had this bent when I bought them.
I'm here first bro
