is actually amazing how Macross, already in 1982, showed combat drones, before they became so popular. In macross plus, the ghost drone, will also be the main villain. In macross F, the ghost class drone, will be back, and this time on the side of the good ^_^
The movie deal of the century made in the 80s. also had remote controlled drone fighter in it.
The drone was always on the good side, unless it's a James Cameron movie :v
This is incredible. Your work is incredible. Here's one tiny issue: the large rocket the VF-1 launches looks like an RMS-5, which is a reaction weapon (reflect weapon), and waaaaayyy to powerful to launch at a fighter. That's my nerd complaint, because the actual animation, renders, and modeling are superb!
Very nice! I forgot about this one until view your video; I only recall a single brief appearance in the first episode.
Even though it was never stated where Kawamori got the insperation for QF-3000 drone.
It is most likely from the lifting body aircraft designs the US Airforce tested on years back. As we see that the QF-3000 dont have long enough wings to generate lift.

ただしVF-1Aが射ったのが反応弾に見えるのは良くないと思います。反応弾は強力過ぎるので大規模な艦隊戦等でしか使用許可が降りません。通常のミサイルの方が良かったと思います。
I wish they made the models for the Gnerl fighters. I would love that. There is so much Veritech/Valkyrie modeles and toys but not much Zentraedi stuff.

Why did they fire RMS-1 missiles? Those are nuclear reaction warheads. Otherwise great video.
Yes, my rush to finish the video between my regular work played a trick on me, I had to use regular missiles or the container that I had in the other model, I will try to improve in my next deliveries.

is it firing a missile? ( RRG RMS-1 Angel of Death long range air/space launched anti-spaceship missile)
It seems an Angel of Death missile, but if I remember correctly the VF-1 can carry six of them.

The missile that should fire at that fighter would be another, since the one that fires is nuclear. But the animation 10 points. It would be this "Raytheon AMM-1 Arrow long range, all mode anti-mecha/surface missile".

Una pequeña critica que intenta ser constructiva, es que me da la sensación de que le das demasiada importancia al como lucen, y menos a su funcionalidad.
O sea, el combate se siente tosco, aparatoso, cuando en realidad y especialmente con los Ghost, este debe ser muchísimo mas fluido y rápido, gracias a que no tienen piloto que pueda sufrir las fuerzas G.
También ayudaría a que por ejemplo, tengas una escena armada especifica, mas que solo escenas random sin propósito.
