@@JCCOOLDOWN Sorry, but so far F35 / 22 show only uselessness and cut the dough on government orders. I won’t say “but our planes are better in every way”, but I will note that when yours are advertised as another Lamborghini, ours simply work effectively. The new aircraft are comparable, and the old ones are being actively updated to modern standards (the most obvious example of the MiG 31 was the best interceptor (and still is), it also became a reconnaissance aircraft with a bunch of electronics and very serious arguments in armament) (and yes, the MiG seems to want to make a MiG 41, but when it will be and how much it will be a starship is not clear) By the way, I note that relatively recently the United States also wanted to adjust old fighters to modern standards, instead of completely replacing them with the 5th generation.
I might be wrong but my explanation is that that plane was able to recover from it because it is an F-22 that uses thrust vectoring which allows it to push its nose downwards without the need for control surfaces, and I think the main reason is that this plane can produce an impressive amount of thrust which is really helpful to get out of a flat spin, other aircraft that do not have these abilities might not recover because the forces acting on the airplane are in equilibrium, while the engine and the control surfaces are completely ineffective. You can see in this video " ua-cam.com/video/ghxQfkngeKI/v-deo.html " an f-14 that lacks any thrust vectoring capability and has relatively weak engines totally failing to recover and the pilot ejecting ultimately.

Hopefully there is enough altitude left to fully reestablish airflow over the wings and flight surfaces to stabilize the aircraft afterwards. Some aircraft can fall into flat spins easily(often its the loadout and weight distribution that affects how easily an aircraft can find itself heading towards a flat spin), many are perfectly recoverable(with enough altitude of course, sometimes there just isn't enough left and if you enter a flat spin too close to the ground its simply time to punch out), some airframes are even designed with aerodynamics that will 'auto-recover' into a nose downward angle from flat-spin-like airflow over the airframe. Can’t imagine how fkn fun it is to fly a fighter jet let alone do maneuvers like this… how tf can the plane not get destroyed when doing the cobra, so much force onto the belly of the plane.
Fun fact about the cobra maneuver, in the early 1960s, the maneuver was developed and performed by Swedish pilots flying the Saab 35 fighter jet almost by accident. It was invented during training for recovery from super stalls (also known as deep stalls) to which the double delta tailless design of the Saab 35 is susceptible. A super stall is an uncontrollable stall which is much harder to recover from than a standard stall. Super stall plagued the early years of Saab 35 service, causing several deaths, which led the Swedish air staff to implement extra training on how to counteract and recover from them. The result was the famous cobra maneuver or as the Swedes named it "kort parad" (short parry) after a fencing maneuver of the same name, known as "beat parry" in English. This was done almost 17 years before Viktor Pugachev did this manuever in the SU-27 protoype: Thanks for reading :)

The scariest thing I've ever seen was an F4 doing a Dutch roll. It was impromptu, at lunchtime over RAAF base Amberley, Aus. A mate and I were walking from the mess and this aircraft was coming straight at us. It appeared to be wallowing, at low speed, it was nose high, nose low in a corkscrewing motion that would make you sea sick. I was convinced it was coming down - right on me. He then did another low speed dirty pass, raised the hook and gear and went vertical punching a hole in the cloud. The third was a high speed pass where he touched mach 1 and broke windows in the Adjutant's office and the service station outside the gate. That was 50 years ago, I have never seen video of anything like this and only recently learnt what it was called. I believe the pilot flew F4s in 'Nam so must have been on secondment to the USAF or may have been USAF here. I was a lowly mechanic, not privy to such matters.
IIRC, the F4 had a dry weight of 29,500lbs. The J-79 engine has a max thrust of 18,000lbs. The F4 Phantom has two J-79 engines totaling 36,000lbs at full reheat. A decommissioned, civilian owned F4 was sitting at the hold short line at a fly in airshow waiting for clearance. Tower, apparently unaware it was an F4 waiting at the line and not yet another C-172, was taking their sweet time and making the F4 wait for a string of slow planes on approach. After repeated calls requesting clearance, the tower fed up finally replied with, 'Look buddy, if you can get to 3000' by the middle of the runway, you can have it." Immediately the F4 pilot radios back, "Roger. Taking runway." Suddenly, before tower could realize their mistake, the air was filled with the roar of twin J-79s spooling up to full burner. As the F4 screamed down the first half of the runway, the pilot lifted off his gear, pulled them up, and yanked the stick back, seeming to explode off the ground in a vertical climb, leveling out at 3000'. F4 pilot, "Clear of runway." after a moment, with laughter heard in the background, tower sheepishly responded, "......Roger. Frequency change to departure approved." Moral of the story, dont give pilots ultimatums they can achieve. The McDonnell Douglas F4 Phantom II. Proof bricks can fly, with enough thrust.
To any gear heads on the ground. If you see these type of moves, do you also get the idea of how awesome these machines truly are. Idea of "losing control" for a moment and then just let the vechile show of the raw power and go "just kidding, everything is under control" makes me respect a lot of those who made those planes possible. Big ups to pilots also, but I think they usually gets enough credit when compared to engineers. Same goes to F1 monsters, those are build to a level that its inspiring just to not know how it works and even more when have some understanding. Respect to drivers and builders.
Little correction: the tailslide and Kvochur’s bell are the same thing. The thing you thought was the bell is something completely different, the reason the bell got its name is because if the plane was flying perpendicular to you, it looks like half of a bell.
Basically, in modern day if you and an enemy got into a dogfight- god forbid a guns only fight- both of you have fucked up massively multiple times Dogfighting theory has been the same basics since ww1, keep your speed, that's it. Speed allows you to dodge, stay out of your enemy's nose and use the vertical, so you can lose speed climbing, then gain it back falling The issue with these manouvers is that they can only be used in the context that you need to lose speed because an enemy behind you (very, very bad)didn't manage their distance well so you try to cause him to overshoot, that is, you go so slow that they can't slow down and fly in front of you And even then these manouvers kill your speed, by the time you recover you lost so much position and now the enemy knows what you might try pulling, if they are expecting that they will have a great big target basically being still
@@istillplayroblox6952 The split S is also called a reversed Immelmann turn and can also be written with a hyphen: split-S. In basic terms, the Immelmann and split S are very similar, both accomplishing the same reversal in course, but the split S exchanges altitude to gain speed, while the Immelmann turn exchanges speed to gain altitude.
I don’t think F-22 pilots are allowed to pull some of these extreme maneuvers, although the plane itself can probably no doubt do all of them. Now the Russian pilots apparently are allowed to do whatever they want without any repercussions. Those guys are insane. They can perform aerial stunts that defy belief. Frequency change to departure approved."
Moral of the story, dont give pilots ultimatums they can achieve.
The McDonnell Douglas F4 Phantom II. Proof bricks can fly, with enough thrust.
Might be one of my favorite new airframe stories. Thanks for sharing. Cheers.
Those Russian jet fighters pilots does maneuver that the US military would’ve never let us do without getting grounded
Maverick does the cobra twice once to kill rooster in training and another to save his life in combat
Kvocher’s bell is what the unnamed enemy 5th gen does when Maverick and rooster get missile lock on it in the F-14, then rooster says “wtf was that”
@@alexrandell9199 No shit
@@nyg_dbone oh I just thought we were pointing out cool maneuvers from the movie 😔
@@alexrandell9199 Ok lol
Well, basically all Russian aircraft in service can do all of these......at least the US had a three legged horse in this race
😂😂😂
Breathtaking footage thanks for your time and contribution for all of us to enjoy.!
Diagrams that look nothing like the physical space of the maneuver. Good work.
What is the maneuver at minute 7:45? I think it's more useful than original cobra because it maintain forward momentum.
It was the last one i think
It's the kvochur bell maneuver
It's the same move the su-57 did in top gun maverick
@@An_idot ""what the hell was that ?""
Little correction: the tailslide and Kvochur’s bell are the same thing. The thing you thought was the bell is something completely different, the reason the bell got its name is because if the plane was flying perpendicular to you, it looks like half of a bell.
cobra bc i love the draken and its sooooooo cool
I was so impressed at a munuver I saw in top gun and wanted to know the name .thanks for this video ❤❤
Excellent narration! Great accent..
The pugachev's cobra menuver is my favourite
Love of these menu-vers.
Whose here because of that enemy pilot maneuver in Top Gun: Maverick? Kvochur Bell Maneuver is what he did to evade Maverick's missile btw.
I like the cobra maneuver.
I love these videos
Where people who have no idea what they're talking about tell us what a cobra is
I can only imagine how many G's you have to handle while making the cobra maneuver.
I love the cobra manuver
like the manouvers
How many G's does the Kulbit maneuver yield? my goodness..
Thanks for teaching me how to do a kickflip.
my favorite one is the the cobra maneuver
name of the maneuver in which the plane moves forward while nose of the plane points at the sky , releasing flares .
Russian trust vectoring manouvering abilities are best in the world.
actually to add to the Cobra. I've seen a video of an F22 doing it while also dropping flares
So what's the defference between Flat Spin and Falling Leaf?
Too good ...
Instant like right here.
Nice Vid
Learnt alot
AMAZING INTEL !! THANKS
One word....DAMN
I subscribed cos of your voice
Cobra is the best one !
Suhoki 30 mki cobra maneuver
I am very impressed with these aerobatic skills, but I wonder how much of this has actually proven to be useful in modern combat.
If you see russian jets much more active then Americans best jest . After all russians love to fight
Basically, in modern day if you and an enemy got into a dogfight- god forbid a guns only fight- both of you have fucked up massively multiple times
Dogfighting theory has been the same basics since ww1, keep your speed, that's it. Speed allows you to dodge, stay out of your enemy's nose and use the vertical, so you can lose speed climbing, then gain it back falling
The issue with these manouvers is that they can only be used in the context that you need to lose speed because an enemy behind you (very, very bad)didn't manage their distance well so you try to cause him to overshoot, that is, you go so slow that they can't slow down and fly in front of you
And even then these manouvers kill your speed, by the time you recover you lost so much position and now the enemy knows what you might try pulling, if they are expecting that they will have a great big target basically being still
It is a SU-35S (Flanker E) not SU-27. Please find original video
I like the split-s
What happened to Immelman and Reverse Immelman?
Evolution but I am sure they still have their place
@@raymondweaver8526 It is basic, but good. I have done both.
You mean Split S?
@@istillplayroblox6952 Split S is good, too, but no. Immelman is an old WWI move. It is simply a half loop with a roll over to do a 180 turn.
@@istillplayroblox6952 The split S is also called a reversed Immelmann turn and can also be written with a hyphen: split-S. In basic terms, the Immelmann and split S are very similar, both accomplishing the same reversal in course, but the split S exchanges altitude to gain speed, while the Immelmann turn exchanges speed to gain altitude.
cobra maneouver is my favourite
Great Shukoy and Mig real Super Manuver
TOP GUN MAVERICK has bell tailslide and purgachev´s in it !
Gotta love the Kvochar Bell cuz of Top Gun Maverick
I think we saw the Kvochur Bell maneuver in Top Gun: Maverick, when the 2nd 5th gen fighter dodged Mav's missile.
American 🇺🇸 pilot is absolutely out of this contest .
the kvochur bell is a vertical flat spin
amazing!😮
We see F-22 tried to do those maneuvers.....but clearly, Sukhoi did them much better.
Russian fighter jets mostly focuses on maneuverability compared to the Americans.
F22 Raptor jago dalam pameran , ketika terdeteksi SU35 terbang ,F22 & F35 aktifkan program siluman dalam hanggar 😂 .
Who is coming from Ace Combat 7
Me
Great video
I love this channel ❤️ 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🤙🏾
I don’t think F-22 pilots are allowed to pull some of these extreme maneuvers, although the plane itself can probably no doubt do all of them. Now the Russian pilots apparently are allowed to do whatever they want without any repercussions. Those guys are insane. They can perform aerial stunts that defy belief. Now if you’re a pilot in a American fighter jet and you’re superiors catch you doing crazy stuff like that, well you could lose your privilege to fly permanently, or put them in the Hack
noice use of catia
Pogachev cobra is amazing
Man the days of looping around to get bore sight on is over. They literally just spun around like a roller blades
All of the comments about they are all horizontal, hmmm. I was part of the USMC airwing - not saying too much - and trust and believe, we don't go around showing all the goodies in airshows. I have seen more than I will say. So believe whatever you want to believe, i prefer it that way.😊
