Thanks for posting this video,Barrie. Every time I see a Vulcan, I think of my dear departed Grandpa. He worked at AVRO Woodford (1955-64) as an aircraft fitter. He and the family emigrated to Australia in early 65. Grandpa then started working at GAF (Government Aircraft Factory) Fisherman's Bend Victoria till his retirement in 1984. And the family lived in Laverton, which had the RAAF Base practically in their backyard. I have some of his tools which he used during his working life. Thanks again Barrie...it did bring a tear to my eyes. And nice to see your better half as well. Hi Karen 👋

Thanks man, and thanks to your Grandad for his service. I desperately wanted to serve in the RAF, but I'm a bad asthmatic and that dsq'd me. So I do this and write books about it instead :)

Glad you liked it. I've been in the cockpit of one and it is cramped!

Such a shame there is no longer an Air worthy one (like the Concord) particularly as so much effort and money was put into it to get it air worthy again.. Built as a cold war plane their biggest claim to fame had to be their use during the Falklands. 👍

There's a great documentary called Britain's Most Daring Raid that is worth seeking out.
