"the make it rain" comment was with regard to the drought being experienced across the uk in 1976. Still probably the driest & sunniest summer ever in that neck of the woods. Jimmie Rogers penned the song about 1926/7 so it's about 93 years old now !
A better version of this one imho is Live from convention hall 1976 ...in black and white but you can see all 3 guitarist and piano way better...Thanks for reacting to my home town boys! You need to check out That Smell and on the Hunt as well as many others they do have some variety and different styles in their different songs
Yeah, the crowd was awesome. Did you react to a live version of Free Bird? If not, you need to see it. SWEET HOME ALABAMA, is another good one from Skynyrd. GIMME THREE STEPS, WHAT’S YOUR NAME, THE NEEDLE AND THE SPOON, THAT SMELL, and SATURDAY NIGHT SPECIAL, to name a few. The band is from Jacksonville, FL. They recorded in Muscle Shoals, AL lot, though. Can ya tell I love these guys?
Ya just a little lol I didn't react to free bird yet because I've heard it before but I've never seen the live video so if you think its worth watching then I'll check it out.
Sean Harraghy, of course, I think it would be. You could check this festival out, or the one at the Oakland Coliseum, in Cali. Love your enthusiasm in your reactions. I was only about 8 during this time frame, but my brother was six years older. His band practiced in our basement, so there was a time that I cringed if I heard Free Bird just one more time. They rehearsed it over and over. I love it again, now. LOL.
It’s ok. My name is Lisa. And thank you! I hope you like it. The bass line should be better on this Leon “The Mad Hatter” Wilkeson is awesome. Thank you.
And we are blessed when those boys shined.. Never get tired hearing them play🎸
It was hot day. Rain to cool off everyone.

Yes I could hear the bass good. For some reason hearing the bass in a song always helps me feel all the music better.
They were from Gainesville Fla.
This is cover of a song from 1920's, considered the father of country music.
