At the heighth of Skynyrd, right before the plane crash, they were considered at their peak. Steve Gaines, who is playing slide guitar on this, often drew comparisons to Duane Allman for his acumen on the slide guitar during this time period. Balls to the wall, kick @$$ rock and roll...
If u had to describe the three mule army its Steve as funky good (see him bunny hop to the tongue tip in Freebird), Gary is effortless finesse (his hands barely move) and Allen? OMG he’s the hyper picking firery Freebird!
Man you’re making miss my childhood. I loved growing up during this time when this was new music. Another great song by Skynyrd is The Ballad of Curtis Lowe. That one hits you like Simple Man does. Keep these reactions coming. 👍👍👍👍
No doubt Seve Gains brought a whole new dynamic to the guitar army. I think it was Artimus Plye who told Allen Collins and Gary Rossington they were going to have to up their gain. And the following Album Street Survivors showcased just how great Steve Gains was. R I P.
Ronnie had the band ready to rule the world that day ! He wanted to blow the Rolling Stones off their own stage and they did it. Aside from the band being tight and strong- can you believe the quality sound mix they got from this show ? You can practically pick out every drum hit, string pick and keys stroke - but all in proportion. This concert video is awesome except that they dont show Billy Powell bearing down on the keyboard during any of his solos. You know shit is about to get serious when Leon tosses the cigarette !
Little known fact that during the entire song, set, and concert Ronnie was listening to every note. He could pick out and remember any bad note and was known for letting the band know.
Ronnie Van Zant, the singer, and Steve Gaines, guitar in white shirt with vest died in t he plane crash...along with Steve's sister. Amazing that any of them survived if you see the wreakage.
Well, you’re too young to have heard a lot of this. Thanks to UA-cam, you younger folks are discovering what we already know. Skynyrd are music gods down here in Georgia. A lot of their really good songs didn’t get air play because they were too long or they didn’t fit the mold of these top 40 radio stations. We had an Atlanta station, 96 ROCK who did play it. My older brother’s band practiced in our basement and I actually got tired of hearing Skynyrd, at one time because they practiced over and over. This is one of my favorite bands, without a doubt. I enjoyed your reaction to this; thank you!
Hello Georgia.. Alabama 80s lady here. These young folks sure missed out.. it's hilarious to watch them because we know where all the guitar riffs, drummer solo and were not telling them. LOL .. you know they remind of babies that's just found their toes.. LOL. Love it when they get goosebumps...
"Don't let that flag hit the ground......." - This song features Steve Gaines on guitar. A man Ronnie respected immensely, saying once about him......"One day we'll all live in his shadow."
Steve was a tremendous singer, songwriter, guitar player & singer & a lot of people forget he had only been in Skynyrd ant 10 wks at this performance & he sounds like he was always there. It is crazy.
I enjoy your reviews because you don't pause the music to interject your perspective/perceptions, which is disrespectful of the music. Thanks for saving your comments to the end, after the performance.
I am 65, plan to live to be 90 like my dad, want them to play Freebird & Icarus Born on Wings of Steel (Kansas) at funeral😀😀 I know any of my friends still alive will be tappin a foot
If it's anything like Freebird where 1/2 the song is audience, Knebworth better. I get that they were trying to show how many people & people clappin during guitar solo cool but after a sec it gets annoying. I wanna see the guys
Saw them live, you are so right, man, they played their hearts out. Great songs: Gimme Three Steps, That Smell, Was I Right or. Wrong, The Ballad of Curtis Lowe, Four Walls of Rayford, Call Me The Breeze, and, of course, Simple Man. Simple Man ranks right up there with Sweet Home Alabama and Freebird to many of us Southerners I could go on and on.I live in Ga, Skynyrd was from Jacksonville, Fl, with is located at the bottom of my state, Allman Brothers are from Macon, Ga, middle of Ga, and Marshall Tucker is from North Carolina, right at the top my state. They played in Atlanta a lot. Marshall Tucker: I Heard It in A Love Song, Can't You See, Fire On The Mountain. Hope you enjoy listening to them as much as I did in the early 70's. I always love live versions best.
Jimmy Rodgers that did the song originally, in the 1920’s, is considered the “The Father of Country Music.” Muddy Waters referenced in the song was a blues singer and considered the “The Father of modern Chicago Blues.” Two additional great performers from Mississippi.
GOD BLESS TEXAS! Very old Country song. Pat, in America, there are Laws for the Flag. That’s why Ronnie said “Don’t let that flag touch the ground”. Big no, no.
best live band ever!!! They blew the stones off the stage at this British festival, and the stones weren't happy! Mic J. told everyone to stay off the tongue of the stage, OR ELSE!!! Ronnie VZ made his guitarists go out on it during freebird, because of this. You can see the hesitation in the guitarists, but Ronnie dragged them out on it. Brilliant!! Pissed the stones off, and they had to follow skynyrd on stage and from all reports, were horrible. Music critics at the time, were saying Skynyrd blew the stones off the stage! Impossible to follow these guys, as a live act, for anyone.
Note: The Allman Brothers were put together in Jacksonville FL, too. Definitely get to the Marshall Tucker Band. Southern Rock with some innovative styling.
God I used to wait in anticipation when listening to T For Texas, for the Guitars to kick in. My college mates knowing what my career path was used to change the lyrics during our sing along, to "Give Me T for Dr. T"
I believe when he has that smile ,he was looking over at Steve Gaines on guitar, he had only been with them abt 10 wks. I think he is thinkin this guy is playin his ass off & we night have passed on him. His sister was Cassie Gaines one of the Honkettes , back uo aingers fot some songs. Ed King had left in 1975 & they were looking for replacement & they were playing in Kansas City, I believe & Cassie said my brother is really good guitar player, he is playin down at a bar here, they were thinkin sure your brother is great, she said no he is really good, here is a tape. They didn't listen but Cassie kept asking so they finally said ok he can jam on 1 song tonight. Steve shows up & they went over a lil of the song, & Steve said ok ok think ai got it. They thought this guys isn't even interested but they let him come out, told sound guys if he sounds awful turn him off, told Steve if you don't know song just act like you are playing. They get to T for Texas, he comes out, stands with Gary & Allen & they are just doing what they do, just straight guitar, Steve takes a slide out of his pocket & starts playin his ass off, they gave him a solo part after they heard him & invited him to join band that night. I am so glad he got that time to play, write w/Ronnie & even sing w/Ronnie before he died. Any footage I see of Steve he is having the time of his life. Skynyrd had their 3 guitar army back, even better IMO. Loved Ed King but Steve more bluesy player & could actually sing lead. They were both great, just different styles
If you really want your mind blown, listen to Allen Collins isolated Freebird. Even though Skynyrd had 3 guitarists it will amaze you how much Allen put into that song. Love your reactions !!
This was Steve Gaines’ blow out into to the world. Watch him get Ronnie’s nods of approval (5:49) and how he nods to Cassie (5:35) saying, Damn ur right! He’s fucking good! (Cassie (a Honkette in green scarf) introduced the two after Ed King left. ) Steve is funky as hell and it comes out well in T for Texas imho
When their live album “One More from the Road” was first released on CD, they unfortunately cut this track and one other so that it would fit on one disc. Fortunately I got it into my collection later.
check out the Atlanta rhythm section. a different type of southern rock. Ronnie van zant had stated in many an interview. that the Atlanta rhythm section. was the greatest southern band ever
Its time to revisit Lynyrd Skynyrd "T for Texas". Watch the live version from 7/13/77 Convention Hall (Original). They spend much more time filming the guitar soloists. Amazing live version. You won't regret it buddy.
Was your Free Bird reaction clip a part of this same concert? If so, I'm seriously amazed at their stamina. These are not little short 3 minute songs. They are lengthy jam sessions. I watched a documentary on them and it was said they had the most dedicated work ethic of any band. They'd go to a cabin in the woods and practice, practice, practice. I'm so impressed by that. To love something so much that you want to be the best at it you possibly can speaks volumes. Keep them coming!
Patrol Gaming Oh man! That’s crazy! If you find it, I will watch it right along with you. I started watching the 2hr Dimash concert you put up. I’ll have to pick that up again tomorrow. I really do enjoy your channel. Oh and Happy Birthday!🎂🎉 You got your 10K subs and it’s so well deserved.
I know I'm a little late to the party here 4 years ago but I'm on a Skynyrd Marathon came across your video and loved it! What a cool riffat starts with and then when the bass and drums kick in is just like in your face pounding amazing! Leon Wilkinson on bass, rest his soul and Artimus Pyle on drums who's the only guy left from all of these amazing musicians still alive! Sadly Gary rossington died in March of this year 2023 was the last original remaining member of Skynyrd he's the guy that does that sweet beautiful amazing slide guitar on Freebird and also wrote tons of other amazing songs with like solo for Tuesdays Gone and Gimme 3 Steps. And personally I love how Ronnie Van Zant the lead singer would just come out and stand there like a champion, didn't jump around like a maniac and dance and act like a fool just commanded the stage. How about your reaction to "I know a little" which was written by Steve Gaines with Ronnie Van Zant the most amazing chicken pickin' guitar I've ever heard! Sadly they both died along with his sister Cassie Gaines in the plane crash. 😢
Singer- Ronnie Van Zant (RIP plane crash) Guitar dude in Red - Allen Collins (RIP 1990 pneumonia) Guitar dude in Black - Gary Rossington (still with LS) Guitar dude in Blue - Steve Gaines (RIP plane crash. Was fairly new to band, replaced Ed King) Drums - Artimus Pyle - Still doing his thing, not with LS for some reason Piano/Organ - Billy Powell (RIP 2009, was still with LS) Bass - Leon Wilkeson (RIP 2001 natural causes, was still with LS)
Randy Andrews in Bad Man he says “when you hurt my family, It’s like walking through the swamp without any shoes, and step on a snake that’s deadly”. I love that.
You don’t have to review every song but on your own time grab a couple of beers and just listen to that same concert but the whole thing you’ll be a Lynyrd Skynyrd fan for life
If you want to see Lynyrd Skynyrd at their best They made a live album in the Fox Theatre in Atlanta Ga and it is by far the best live album they did This was right before the plane crash If Ronnie Van Zant had not died in the crash This would be the best Rockin roll band ever In my book they are the best band ever You can make a list of songs from the original band and close your eyes and put your finger on any song and you will like it or be able to relate to in some way The amount of songs they have from 1970 to 1977 is unbelievable If Ronnie had lived on Just think of the music we never got to hear from this band just like SRV They say only the good dye young RIP TO THE BEST ROCK BAND ON THE PLANET Long live Skynyrd
Hey, I wish I could have seen them but I was 13 in 1977 the yr the plane crashed, BUT I did see Johnny with Lynyrd Skynyrd in the early 90s in Biloxi Miss. They were on tour with ZZ Top. Both band's were great . I wish you would react to "Nazareth".. I don't see very many reactions for Nazareth.. plenty request but no reaction.. I promise you will be thrilled you did. Here's a few suggestions: " *Please don't Judas me*..."Love hurts"...*Miss Misery*...*Dream on*...*Whiskey drinking woman*🤞🤞🤞 these 5 will get you started.. take your pick pls choose older versions live or studio.Once you listen to the first song you're hooked.. thank you 🤘💐
Well done PG! Another suggestion is the last song they recorded before the plane crash. It's called, "That Smell"! It is such a haunting song about addiction and it is one of their best songs period! Thanks for these great videos, my friend... 😎😎😎
The guy playing slide in this was Steve Gaines, a sublime and super clean player. Previously another important musician in the history of Rock, Ed King, played with them. This live version of Whiskey RockaRoller is a good place to start before looking at Sweet Home Alabama- and when you do, look for one with Ed King playing. It's a whole different ball of wax.ua-cam.com/video/JpUfV2qdVls/v-deo.html
Ed King was my favorite and to land Steve as his replacement...a Godsend. Knowing Ronnie started his singing career singing in the bathtub as a child says to me...follow your passion.
Ronnie Van Zant was a perfectionist and insisted that the band always play to a crowd as if they were in the recording studio and everthing had to be spot on. This is why the camera caught him looking at his guitar players and then the smile tells it all. Yah boys, you are great tonight. Too bad the video did not concentrate on Billy Powell when he broke in with his great piano accompanyment.
If you’re channel was only reactions of Lynyrd Skynyrd live, I wouldn’t be mad 🤷🏼♂️. After Gimme Three Steps Check out “call me the breeze” 1975. Btw, if you watch Sweet Home Alabama live, watch 1975 or older because the guitarist that wrote and played it left the band that year.
Check out: Angelina Jordan -won Norways got talent. She was 7 when entered 8 when she won. She does a lot of covers. Check out I put a spell on you, think she was 10 then. A Million Years Ago, Fly Me To The Moon. You won't believe the voice from such a young child. Sawyer Frederick on The Voice 2015. Won that competition.
There's a better live version of this song on UA-cam, IMO. The live video is in black and white but it's clear as a bell, and it's shot at Convention Hall in Asbury Park, New Jersey in 1977 about 3 months before their ill-fated plane crash in October of that same year. The sound is much clearer and the camera work much better than in this video. Give it a try sometime mate.
This is not the best version...Steve Gaines had not been with them long and the audio is not the greatest for whatever the reason. The best version, imho, is from the album One More From The Road. There is no video of it to my knowledge, but it rocks a truly brings out the Skynyrd sound.
Knowing that it was a festival, I have to feel sorry for the artist/band who had to perform right after Lynyrd Skynyrd because... how could you follow up that performance from that group; you couldn’t!
The song is 10/10, unfortunatly, the camera work on the video isnt good at all, short changing Gaines, and Powell. But can we expect from the crew that was there to film the stones, and had no idea who Skynyrd is?
Think about how music brings the world together! This crowd didn't know Texas or Tennessee, they just knew good music!
If you ever heard the original by Jimmy Rogers you could really appreciate the genius in Skynyrd.
Keith Richards remarked how they blew the doors off everyone that day.
Billy Powell on piano. He was a genius like everyone on that stage.
Randy Marsengill - Not seen in the vid, but you can’t hide greatness.
If u had to describe the three mule army its Steve as funky good (see him bunny hop to the tongue tip in Freebird), Gary is effortless finesse (his hands barely move) and Allen? OMG he’s the hyper picking firery Freebird!
So much greatness lost from that crash. Just think of all the great music they would have continued to put out.
Man you’re making miss my childhood. I loved growing up during this time when this was new music. Another great song by Skynyrd is The Ballad of Curtis Lowe. That one hits you like Simple Man does. Keep these reactions coming. 👍👍👍👍
People also forget how young Alan and Gary were when they started this band they were 14 years old.😎.. And right here they were 22!!!!🎶🎵🎵🎵😎🎸🎸
Such a beautiful moment when Ronnie looks back at Artimus and smiles as to say Stevie's the real deal.
No doubt Seve Gains brought a whole new dynamic to the guitar army. I think it was Artimus Plye who told Allen Collins and Gary Rossington they were going to have to up their gain. And the following Album Street Survivors showcased just how great Steve Gains was. R I P.
Ronnie marveling at Steve's cool, laid back guitar prowess. That look of truly knowing Steve was a fabulous addition to the band
He was looking at Steve's sister Cassie she was one of his backup singers
Ronnie had the band ready to rule the world that day ! He wanted to blow the Rolling Stones off their own stage and they did it. Aside from the band being tight and strong- can you believe the quality sound mix they got from this show ? You can practically pick out every drum hit, string pick and keys stroke - but all in proportion. This concert video is awesome except that they dont show Billy Powell bearing down on the keyboard during any of his solos. You know shit is about to get serious when Leon tosses the cigarette !
That's the funniest shit iv heard this year about the cigarette, haaa
Little known fact that during the entire song, set, and concert Ronnie was listening to every note. He could pick out and remember any bad note and was known for letting the band know.
And if he was too full of Jack Daniel's he let them know with his fist.
They played for the right reason, the joy if it. the freedom, just to be who they were :) one of the GOAT.
Ronnie Van Zant, the singer, and Steve Gaines, guitar in white shirt with vest died in t he plane crash...along with Steve's sister. Amazing that any of them survived if you see the wreakage.
This song takes you on a journey 🤸🤸🤸🎧🎧🎧and watching the audience get more and more Wild....it's COOL😎🎸
Who was or is better live. Goddamn these boys could play. Most bands are blessed to have one or two great guitarists, Skynyrd had FOUR.
Lenora Nolan LoL. That’s right.
Thanks for doin this one up!
I challenge you to randomly pick 25 Skynyrd songs pre 1977, and find a bad one...
Challenge accepted = Challenge EPIC FAIL
There's no such thing as a bad Lynyrd Skynyrd song from the 1970's.
Jimmy Rogers was one of the very first artists to be called "country". An ex railroad worker he was called "The Singing Brakeman".
Bonnie Parker of Bonnie and Clyde was a fan of Jimmie's music.
I enjoy your reviews because you don't pause the music to interject your perspective/perceptions, which is disrespectful of the music. Thanks for saving your comments to the end, after the performance.
Best rock band ever!
You definitely missed a great time in Rock and Roll. Being close to 60, so many great bands and music kicked butt.
Yep, makes me being 59 with my creaky knees totally worth it. Saw them 7 weeks before crash.
I am 65, plan to live to be 90 like my dad, want them to play Freebird & Icarus Born on Wings of Steel (Kansas) at funeral😀😀 I know any of my friends still alive will be tappin a foot
Lynyrd Skynyrd- Sweet home Alabama 1977 Oakland CA. There are some godly solos on the end
If it's anything like Freebird where 1/2 the song is audience, Knebworth better. I get that they were trying to show how many people & people clappin during guitar solo cool but after a sec it gets annoying. I wanna see the guys
True story. Only Ronnie did not say gimme 3 steps he said I'm leavin turned his back and said your either shoot me in my Ass or my Elbows. 😂❤.
This song always blows me away. Try listening to their live versions of Crossroads and Call Me The Breeze.
I’m soooo happy you’re doing these guys again. Love, love em. I’m watching now.
Saw them live, you are so right, man, they played their hearts out. Great songs: Gimme Three Steps, That Smell, Was I Right or. I always love live versions best.
Do yourself a favor and watch the whole Skynyrd act at Knebworth. Fantastic!!
Ronnie... How long should the solo be?? Steve..... HOLD MY BEER!! 🇱🇷🤠🇱🇷👌🇱🇷🤟🇱🇷🤘🇱🇷😎🇱🇷👊🇱🇷👊🇱🇷👊🇱🇷

GOD BLESS TEXAS! Very old Country song. Pat, in America, there are Laws for the Flag. That’s why Ronnie said “Don’t let that flag touch the ground”. Big no, no.
Texas Magnolia, yep, letting the flag touch the ground is a big no-no in Tennessee, too.

I'll suggest one to check out. "Green Grass and High Tides" by The Outlaws.
The Outlaws....Green Grass and High Tides....Floridas Guitar Army out of Tampa
Note: The Allman Brothers were put together in Jacksonville FL, too.
Definitely get to the Marshall Tucker Band. Southern Rock with some innovative styling.
Hidden gems...four walls of raiford, Mississippi kid, seasons, and white dove.
God I used to wait in anticipation when listening to T For Texas, for the Guitars to kick in. My college mates knowing what my career path was used to change the lyrics during our sing along, to "Give Me T for Dr. T"

Another great Florida Band. RIP Ronnie
That Smell , On the hunt, Poison Whiskey ...etc etc etc
Allman Brothers is a great southern rock band.
I love everything about Lynard Skynard.
Well done, you cannot beat Lynyrd Skynyrd. Waiting for gimmee three steps!
No frills, street rockers. Nothing like them. Thanks for playing.😂
Blackfoot - Highway Song....a must
Dude🎵🎵🎵😎😎🎸🎸 dude this is my song I've watched this video Play 60 times in my life the audience is amazing 😳😳😳and when Ronnie smiles 😁😁🤸🤸🤟🤟🎶🎵
When their live album “One More from the Road” was first released on CD, they unfortunately cut this track and one other so that it would fit on one disc. Fortunately I got it into my collection later.
Check out some Foghat- Slow Ride and Blackfoot- Highway Song... please & thank you
Sherrel Wilson my God, Highway song, so many greats!
A live version of Slow Ride.
They estimated bout 250,000 people there. It was during one of the worst droughts in England history.
Skynyrd, That smell!
Gerhard Braatz but, Pat has to read the story behind the song or it won’t have the same impact.
New subscriber brother love you Southern Rock reactions
check out the Atlanta rhythm section. a different type of southern rock. Ronnie van zant had stated in many an interview. that the Atlanta rhythm section. was the greatest southern band ever
the Oakland 1977 concert has a good version of SHA, the piano player gets more screen time in that concert
I love this video Steve was still pretty new to the band and you can watch Ronnie falling in love with his playing right there on the stage
Skynyrd at their Best !!!
Its time to revisit Lynyrd Skynyrd "T for Texas". Watch the live version from 7/13/77 Convention Hall (Original). They spend much more time filming the guitar soloists. Amazing live version. You won't regret it buddy.

@@shirleyujest7786 Just search Lynyrd Skynyrd Knebworth 1976 and it will come up- definitely watch it all!
I know I'm a little late to the party here 4 years ago but I'm on a Skynyrd Marathon came across your video and loved it! How about your reaction to "I know a little" which was written by Steve Gaines with Ronnie Van Zant the most amazing chicken pickin' guitar I've ever heard! Sadly they both died along with his sister Cassie Gaines in the plane crash. 😢
Singer- Ronnie Van Zant (RIP plane crash)
Guitar dude in Red - Allen Collins (RIP 1990 pneumonia)
Guitar dude in Black - Gary Rossington (still with LS)
Guitar dude in Blue - Steve Gaines (RIP plane crash. Was fairly new to band, replaced Ed King)

Piano/Organ - Billy Powell (RIP 2009, was still with LS)

Southern Rock. Best of all time. No band then or now will be better.
Great song try listening too Tuesdays gone, That smell, three steeps
Check out “Bad Man”
Someone in the industry pissed Ronnie off, so he “wrote a song for the Bad Man”.
Randy S - Yup, working for MCA has that same attitude telling their label not to jerk them around...or they might get a scar.
Randy Andrews in Bad Man he says “when you hurt my family, It’s like walking through the swamp without any shoes, and step on a snake that’s deadly”. I love that.
Randy S - The genius of RVZ’s lyrics is how deep they hit you in their relatable simplicity.
Now...Call Me The Breeze!!! My fav after Freebird.
Not just the best southern rock there the best rock band over all
You don’t have to review every song but on your own time grab a couple of beers and just listen to that same concert but the whole thing you’ll be a Lynyrd Skynyrd fan for life
This is an amazing video. It's so sad though that he, Cassie, and Steve went down that day.
Don't ever let that flag hit the ground!!!!!
Do some Blackberry Smoke. They are a newer band in the style of southern Rock and they kick some major @$$ too.
Suggested this before I saw that you did a reaction to this!
One more from the road is the best version
Here's a few suggestions: " *Please don't Judas me*..."Love hurts"...*Miss Misery*...*Dream on*...*Whiskey drinking woman*🤞🤞🤞 these 5 will get you started.. take your pick pls choose older versions live or studio.Once you listen to the first song you're hooked.. thank you 🤘💐
Nice cover of Jimmie Rogers...Jimmie Rogers is The Father of Country Music.
What ur try to say is LS is a real rock & roll band!! Period end of story.
Awesome! If you like Lynyrd Skynyrd live you need to check out "Lynyrd Skynyrd One More From the Road" Live album. It's one of my favorites.
No one ever talks about Workin’ for MCA, that is a fantastic song from that album.
@@waynethera2712 Agreed!
The slide guitarist is steve gaines you should check out nothing is new with his band crawdad.
Well done PG! Another suggestion is the last song they recorded before the plane crash. It's called,
"That Smell"!
So they opened for the Rolling Stones in England. And it's said that lot of people left when the Stones took the stage.
Please play Curtis Leow and The Needle And The Spoon....I Know A Little.....Lynyrd Skynyrd....Blackfoot....Highway Song....Train, Train
If you’re channel was only reactions of Lynyrd Skynyrd live, I wouldn’t be mad 🤷🏼♂️. After Gimme Three Steps Check out “call me the breeze” 1975. Btw, if you watch Sweet Home Alabama live, watch 1975 or older because the guitarist that wrote and played it left the band that year.
check out travelin' man and searching live.
Check out:
Angelina Jordan -won Norways got talent.
19 and 72 cuda bottle of Jack chunk of black hash girlfriend screaming slow down skynyrd just cranking on the stereo life was good
Laine Hardy In The Bayou
There are also some great Skynyrd songs after the plane crash. You just have to sort through them.
This is not the best version...Steve Gaines had not been with them long and the audio is not the greatest for whatever the reason. The best version, imho, is from the album One More From The Road. There is no video of it to my knowledge, but it rocks a truly brings out the Skynyrd sound.
Dude if you really enjoy Skynyrd you should listen to "searchinl" and the whole gimme back my bullets album
Knowing that it was a festival, I have to feel sorry for the artist/band who had to perform right after Lynyrd Skynyrd because... how could you follow up that performance from that group; you couldn’t!
Simple Man is their best!
The song is 10/10, unfortunatly, the camera work on the video isnt good at all, short changing Gaines, and Powell. But can we expect from the crew that was there to film the stones, and had no idea who Skynyrd is?
Entrained? :)
Leon beating the hell out of that bass
Love seeing Ronnie smile
