    Really enjoy these play tests videos in various football ⚽️ boots. I find they’re a bit more accurate than just the usual type football boot reviews. Especially for the higher end boots where you’re gonna be spending a lot lot of money on them, you really want to see how they feel etc. ❤

    I used the copa pure.1 for about 10 months and i hve to say, its the worst pair of boots i have ever used in my life. Never going back to wearing any copas ever. Recently switched to the Mizuno Alphas. The only boot i can think of wearing other than the Alphas are the Nike Phantom silos

    Love this, great content. Definitely keep this going! I made the point in my review is now because of Nike and Puma going synthetic means adi is now competing more directly with Mizuno and ASICS, which makes things tougher for adi in terms of comparison.

    On conditioning your leather boots, obviously this won't help durability as it relates to the sole splitting from the upper. But, it does increase the longevity of the kangaroo leather parts (even in the half synthetic/half k-leather). Another point to consider is that leather products can be had for under $10 and take less than a couple minutes to treat a pair (neamsfoot oil and mink oil are widely available, nicer would Chelsea Leather Food) and only need be done every couple months. Lastly, this is particularly important for kangaroo leather. K-leather max thickness is about 1.5mm and most pairs have thinner than that, when you don't treat the leather it will dry out, which then leads to cracking (this cannot be recovered) and will lead to breaks or tears in the leather.
    I find it a little strange when reviewers (not just Noah) spend over $150 or $200 on boots and then almost pride themselves on not taking minimal care of them, especially when conditioners are so inexpensive).

    • @lonsog2g830
      @lonsog2g830 8 місяців тому +4

      Maybe because they use so many new boots and color ways and silos. They haven’t even tore up the last pair when they’re already trying new boots. Not the same for the general public tho, so these tips on how to take care of your boots is good to hear.

    • @NoahCavanaugh
      @NoahCavanaugh  8 місяців тому +3

      Thanks for the tips mate! My goal with treating the boots as I do (i.e. NOT treating them) is to show what they look like in the most extreme circumstances with no care or cleaning. To me, this offers the most realistic look into what the LEAST durable you can get each boot. My hope is that other people who buy 1 or 2 pairs of boots take good care so that they last LONGER than mine do. It's the most realistic way to control for the durability test for every boot, and it's much more objective than trying to care for leather boots while synthetic boots don't get the same treatment.

      How can I improve their longevity, like what products

    • @Qerfuffle
      @Qerfuffle 8 місяців тому

      When too dirty, clean off with water.
      When wet, allow to dry before use. Towels or newspaper help speed that up (NO heat)
      When the leather starts to look drier, use conditioner (for me, about every 1-3 months). Neamsfoot and Mink Oil are inexpensive and widely available, Chelsea's is awesome but about $20. Then, buff off excess (you should almost be able to see the conditioner absorb).

    How padded is the heel liner? I have bony heels (Haglund's) and "comfortable" boots like the Copa Mundial have a heel liner harder than SG studs.
    If you had to compare the softness/padding of the heel liner, what would be your top 5? The Asics look padded... Morelia II destroyed my heels.

      So I wanted to give an update:
      - Leather finish is too slippery which makes it hard to manipulate the ball.
      -I found the fit to be way too tight in the mid foot to where I actually have to take them off every 20 minutes or so and massage out my foot to make it easier to continue (don’t like that at all)
      - Toebox is super pointed which normally I wouldn’t mind, but the fact that the leather doesn’t really stretch to my foot actually gave me blisters on my toe…
      Overall long term I’ve been really disappointed that they haven’t worked out for me… especially considering I spent so much money and time trying to get them to work for me, but they just don’t.
