Yes, these will probably be too wide mate 🤝 Vapor 16 elite is a very similar fit with a narrower profile

I just got some Mizuno Morelia 2 MiJ in the mail, they fit perferctly in the front but I slip around in the back, even with grip socks. Is this common for Mizuno boots or do you think that for example the Morelia Neo 4 Beta will be better for my case?
Been getting heel slippage in my Mizuno Morelia 2 MIJ as well, went true to size and definitely could not go any size down cuz of my wide feet

Question… so I got a pair of Nike mercurial Superfly 9s and I’m a size 9 in them and they fit perfectly to my toe no gaps at all. but now I’m buying a pair of phantom GX 2 low sock but in a blue color way and they just dropped. For size wise, should I get an 8 1/2 if I wear a 9 in Nike mercurials since they run a bit bigger?

Hi ya, do the gx2 have much padding inside to protect your foot a bit if somebody stands on your foot, I know you mentioned the predator elite have good padding, but I like that the gx2 boots would be good for wide foot, so I might get these because I tried the predator elite and they maybe a bight tight on feet. So just wana to ask if padding good in gx2? Thanks for your help if possible
Not really mate. I wouldn't buy football boots based on what type of protection they have. Buy boots that FIT YOU the best.

Have you try this on real grass? My size is us 11 and I feel so sour when I wear Luna on real grass after 30 mins playing, and I am really worried about this boots, cause this fg is even softer than Luna

Do you think laceless is the answer if you play alot on wetter surfaces. I play on AG but its frequently slick and damp sometimes water logged. My TF shoes take on a lot of water.
Not one bit. Laceless boots don't have nearly enough lockdown
Looking at my sons next pair, usually buys Vapors as he's a speedster. Are these good for speedys or stick to Vapors?
Also, he's between a 7 and 7.5, are these true to size even with the extra volume?

The boots aren't going to make him faster, so the most important thing is 1) what actually fits him the best, and 2) what he prefers wearing! The GX is quite different in fit/feel because it's a fully knit upper and fits much wider than the Vapor. It also has a LOT of grip compared to the vapor. If he's been enjoying the vapor, I'd stick with that one! TTS, yes.
Hey Noah, as a Seattleite, I'm mainly playing on cork pitches, how do you think the FG soleplate would perform on cork vs turf? Also wanted to ask where you sourced the ag model of the GX, can't seem to find one in my size anywhere. Love the vids.
206!! 😎 In my experience most FG boots feel just fine on the Seattle pitches... except a few that I'll name here: Puma Future Ultimate (any gen), GX2 (Cyclone360 plate), Vapor 15/Superfly 9 FG, and debatably the UA Shadow Elite 2. If you want any of those models, get the AG version! Otherwise you'll be just fine with all the other boots on the market in FG I reckon 🤝

I tried these on at the store and really liked them only concern was the sole plate feeling a lot flatter than previous boots I had and I was wondering if I should get ag studs even tho I mostly play on fg.
Fair enough! That's going to be up to you mate - I prefer the AG because of the ground feel, but the FG soleplate is fine so long as you play on FG

Grabbed a pair of the AG version of this boots. Probably the lightest phantoms i’ve ever worn. Great touch and really grippy. But it gets really painful on the edge of my foot.
But overall great boots, just needs some time to break in. Great review brother!

Do you think the grippy material on the boot can be removed with sand paper? I want the comfort of the booth but I don't like the stickyness. I run with the ball close to my feet and I don't want to trip over it.
I would NOT recommend doing that... just buy a different pair of boots 😂 You'll absolutely destroy the upper... The tekela v4+ fits similar but without the grip

Wow these weren't on my radar after hearing the negativity before they came out. Tried the gx 1 but ya that low volume toe box was just too uncomfortable so I returned them. If these are higher volume, slightly wider, and softer, then I'll definitely be giving them a try.

A tiny bit, but it has ZERO effect on playing
I think the gripnit on the OG GX is a gamechanger in wet conditions, especially for mortals who don't always get clean contact (less shanking). Except they were so darn pointed in the toes, my son couldn't bear the pain to brake them in (he's wider in the toe box). These sound like they could be a much better fit. However, next year in college he'll be predominantly on AG, so we may wait for those to come out. Except, did you say somewhere the soleplate for the AG will be taken directly from the original GX? Because I'm hoping it'll be a little wider like think new GX II, if you know?
Would highly recommend these, but a wise decision to wait for the AG model. The FG tooling is far too aggressive in my testing. The soleplate from the GX1 AG will be the same on the new model, but keep in mind the upper is what makes the boot wide or not. The extra material and volume in the new model is fantastic for wider foot types.

The AG plate is awesome - it comes from the 1st gen GX
When I tried them on I felt there was a bit too much padding in the heel but it’s ok. I wish Mizuno would do their heel liners like Nike so they would be less tight around the heel/ankle area
