I've had a pinched nerve in my neck for 4 days now and its been absolutely awful, excruciating. I wanted to share an exercise my father gave me when he had the same thing happen to him that has significantly helped reduce the pain. Whichever side the pain is on, (left or right) take that arm and make it completely straight and raise it up so it's even with your shoulder, like an airplane wing, palm facing the ground. Holding your arm in place, rotate your palm upwards so the back of your hand faces the ground and hold it for 5 seconds, rotate back to palm facing the ground, lower your arm. Repeat this 10 times, 3 times a day. This saved me almost going to the hospital I was in so much pain I would have done anything to relieve it! Hoping this video works, will report back.

I had severe burning pins and needles sensation from neck radiating to my right arm and front of the chest too. The pain was excruciating for almost a month. Didn't wanted to get addicted to pain killers and tried avoiding a surgery. These exercises worked like magic. I can't tell you how grateful I am. Thanks for sharing this. If the pain persists despite the painkillers, exercises, posture correction and leads to weakness you should definitely see the doctor. You can only spare it up to 1-2months not beyond that if the pain is not continous. Also the pain gets almost intolerable sometimes and you might suffer of depression. McKenzie was an angel to have discovered this solution.Neurological pain is weird and unexplainable of how it feels like.

Cannot say how much these exercises helped me!! After a year of 2 bulging discs (C5 and C6) and severe cervical osteoarthritis, the first 2 McKenzie exercises I did regularly removed my numbness and tingling completely. Then about a month ago, I began to have sharp, shooting pains on the left side of my neck, randomly, that were pretty severe. Discovered this video and did the next two exercises for only a few days before finding significant relief. I continue to do them daily, and have NO sharp or shooting pain now! So grateful!

WOW. I have to add my 2 cents on this. A few days ago, I had excruciating pain in my upper arm and into the shoulder--could barely lift it. Eventually pain going down the arm and into hand with burning sensation, tingling and numbness. Never had this pain before! Used ice and heat and stretching, ibuprophen. Watched other videos on pinched nerve and tried those (tennis ball, foam roller etc) NOTHING WORKED. (massage made it worse). Watched this video and did the three exercises shown about 10 x (every hour ish) and BAM! Next day it was 75% better, and the next day 95% better. WOW. I am very impressed and hugely grateful. :)

Thank God I came across this video. Ten days of excruciating pain in the neck/upper back (levator scap area seems to be where its originating) from an impingement of some sort. So bad that it sent me to the ER and I am not a complainer and have a HIGH pain threshold. Steroids, toradol shots, Valium, Motrin-told it was a spasm that would resolve itself. It didn’t, woke me up in terrible stiff neck pain and pulling sensation on a nerve. 3 times a week at the chiropractor (All while waiting on an appointment with an Orthopedic specialist and Neurologist) I’ve been doing these exercises 5/6 times a day for 3 days and it’s like night and day. 80% better, manageable now. Thank you SO much!

I woke up with terrible pain in my shoulder that radiated down to my hand. Being 64 there is always something but this was unbearable. I had watched Bob and Brad earlier this year for sciatica pain, and it helped a lot so I looked them up again. It is AMAZING but the pain resolved right away with the chin tuck/head backing up, and the extension exercises. Also the shoulder blade squeeze/ball/roller techniques helped. I am leaning on my squishy ball now while I type this comment and I am pain free. It still returns but now I have lots of tools to help resolve it as it is a retraining and now that I understand the cause, I will work to change my body postures...And I have to stop lying around on the sofa watching videos, which has increased a lot during COVID...as that is also when my sciatia happened.THANK YOU BOB AND BRAD!!! Thank you so much for saving my life. Ive been in a really dark place after suffering immense burning pain in my left rhomboid after overdoing it in the gym on traps/shrugs day 4 months ago and have suffered day in day out eversince.
Its been so bad the nerves have created muscle spasms and muscle wasting on my left side. Sports massages, Acupuncture, Pain killers, Anti Inflammatories, Chinese medicines ...Ive tried them all and nothing touched the pain. Then I discovered this video earlier today and within ten minutes of encorparating the movements ...80 - 90% of the pain was gone along with the muscle spasms. If i can stay on track with this program hopefully in a few weeks i can look at starting to rebuild the muscle loss. From the bottom of my heart ...

OMG! Thank you so much for this video. I've been having this exact same issue that you have in your awesome drawing. so I have had this problem going on 2 weeks now. after the first week it started to feel better. then this past 2nd week it got worse then ever, to the point nothing I would do was helping. hot showers, hot tub jets, stretching. I couldn't lay down on my back, it was even more painful to stand up. the pain ran down my left arm and hand. the last 2 day have become so unbarrable I wanted to cry. I don't have chiropractor insurance but was ready to bight the bullet and go, the cost didn't matter to me anymore. that's how bad it was getting. my wife and kids rubbed my shoulder blade and neck to the point it became raw to the touch. I found your video and the first excerice, which I call the chicken peck, I tried and after the 3rd time I felt a some small cracks in my neck and BAM!!! instant relief from my arm. the pain and tingles and throbbing went away. I was like holy shit. so I finished the other 2 exercises and felt 80% better. now. an hour later i did them again. now I sit here typing my testimony to you 1 hour and 10 minutes later from when I watched your video the first time 95% pain free. like you said in the video the pain is now in 1 spot towards the left shoulder blade which I believe was a pinched nerve. but so so unbarrable at all. the pain is now in 1 spot and out of a scale of 1-10 my pain feels at a 1 being the lowest out of 10. I will continue to do these every hour for tell the pain is gone. all I can say is thank you JESUS, that you guys exist and posted this video. you saved me a lot of money and sleepless nights. I can't express enough to anyone to try this if you have the same symptoms as they describe. these guys know what they are talking about. again Thank you so much for your help.

And with no sleep and with not being able to get any relief I feel things are getting dire. I'm going to start these stretches this morning. Like you I've had my husband, son and co works rubbing my back. Hot showers, hot baths, heating pad, cold packs. Nothing. I think it's only made it worse. I laid out in the sun yesterday and that heat helped some but I gave myself a sunburn, which made things even worse. I can't sit at all I can't use the bathroom without pain. Your testimony has given me some hope. Maybe my family won't have to listen to me screaming and crying in pain. Thank you. And thank you doctors for the very helpful and uplifting info. LorenandBridget I went back to the chiropractor today. he adjusted me again. it fixed it for 3 minutes. I went to the ER. I was told that I have done damage to the muscle that is under my shoulder blade. That it will take months to heal. That I need to get a primary care physician and get a referral to a physical therapist. And that I have excellent range of motion. It all started when I woke up two weeks ago. Last time I went to the Dr was 5 yrs ago. I really wanted these stretches to work. but it looks like I will need to watch a different video from the most popular physical therapists on UA-cam. haha. this sucks.

There are a few components to neck curve exercises. One plan I found which succeeds in merging these is the Neck Mender Blueprint (google it if you're interested) definately the most incredible plan that I've heard of. Check out the extraordinary information.

How soon after starting the exercise should I feel relief?
I'm not having pain, just tingling (like it's asleep). Mostly in my right thumb but sometimes in the whole arm.
I've been doing the exercises for 2 days 5 plus times a day.
I'm doing the chin, neck tilt, wall angel and the shoulder roll.
    Thanks for your help.

Seriously though, this video really helped me. I couldn't sleep most of the night and started searching for videos to help fix what I think is a pinched nerve in my neck and saw this. These exercises seemed to have lightened the pain a bit. Still not perfect but it's such a relief to get a little improvement!

Anyway after watching your inversion table video yesterday I decided to brush mine off and get on it and it helped immensely between that and the neck exercises so thanks Doc(s)-- appreciate it vellllly vellllly much!😁 Semper Fidelis.🇺🇸

Love the video guys. I've been having mines and tingling in my limbs for about a week now. I was having pain in my left shoulder blade and ribs before that for several weeks. I went to the doctor and he gave me antiinflammatories and you an x-ray. They said my x-ray looked fine. The pain actually went away, but a day later or so, I began getting a numbness and tingling in my left leg, then the next day also my left arm, then a day or 2 later my right foot as well. Today I'm feeling a bit of discomfort in my right hand also. I started doing the exercises in your video a couple days ago. Do you think that will help, or is there something else you suggest as well? I appreciate the feedback. Thanks!

    I cannot do chin tucks ! :(
Woke up 2 months ago with tingling/numbness in left thumb/index + pain in brachradialis part of arm + inner shoulder. MRI showed small C5/C6 disk protrusion to the left + straightened cervical spine + small bone spur around disk area. So far the symptoms have decreased, only remaining in fingers. However the main problem is I cannot do chin tucks - I directly feel more tingling as I do the motion :( I'm doing them correctly.
I've had bad experiences with doctors/health system here in Germany, doctors ignored previous MRIs would showed warning signs. I'm spending all my free time learning and reading to doctorize myself... would be great if you can please give me some advice :) What do I make of not being able to do chin tucks? I'm also doing traction with a towel to help create separation. On a side note, my physiotherapist also suspects additional pinching in brachioplexis area, between SCMs and/or Clavicle/Rib since the muscles are incredibly tight, in case that matters
