Complete Jeep Restoration in 10 Minutes

- In this video we go over the complete build and restoration of our 1981 Jeep CJ-7. This Jeep started its life with an AMC straight 6 that we removed and replaced with a Chevy 350 h.o. small block that makes around 350 hp and 400 foot pounds of torque. We also did a complete frame off restoration where we applied bondo to the floor, powder coated the frame, made custom side steps, bumpers, and roll cage for this Jeep. Finally, we completely rebuilt the fuel and brake systems as well as both the rear drum brakes and front disk brakes. We then installed a bestop soft top as well as some racing seats and harnesses.
The CJ is now completely done and road legal so be sure to subscribe for offered videos and more driving footage in the future.

It's good to see young guys interested and capable in mechanical things. Your parents should be proud. Nice job also!
I felt proud of them, and they're not even my children!!
I mean there aren’t as many now but i know of 2 or 3 including me in my school
InstaBlaster...
well im 13 and im very interessed in car engines especially if are good reliable or leggendary engines
This guy gets it. Plain and simple.
That CJ is now ready for the Florida Everglades! Restoration? That is a brand new Jeep! Congratulations and enjoy it!
Wow! In restoring the jeep you also restored my faith in your generation lol. Nice work guys 👍🏼
Looks great! Awesome job.
What size lift?
Great
BenDover
I wonder what he thinks of your generation?
Bro how much you spend in it
Imagine if more kids were like these guys.
Perfectly beautiful. I absolutely love everything about the jeep.
you did a real nice job...something to be proud of...it was nice watching the jeep getting built..its always nice to see young people get involved with a project like you did....hope you have a great time wheeling it...
Had a 78 cj7 once...love your build..awesome color..tough and simple..perfect. Great job
Thanks for sharing. You did a nice job of choosing footage and summarizing the work. I look forward to watching some of the specifics.
That CJ is beautiful! Awesome work! I’m so impressed with the level of skills you guys have!
Proud owner of 2 jeeps myself. Beautiful work guys.
it's nice when you have a couple of friends or family to help you out.
Haters out because dad foot the bill. Like you wouldn’t give your kid everything you worked for. Don’t take out your failures on these dudes.
Gotta remember that alot of parents these days buy into the mentality of kicking your kids out at 18, they're gunna be salty to see the family unit working.
I can only hope that my two boys grow up and want to restore a Jeep with me.
Matthew Maclauchlan exactly he could be giving this kid thousands to blow on Gucci and stupid stuff instead he’s learning valuable skills and bonding
Amen.
joshua hand agrees these kids are beasts. I have a BA but wish I could do half of this stuff.
Fabulous job guys! We are restoring a cj7 too and your videos are being a very good guide for us! Very well explained and developed, step by step, Congratulation guys!
Dang! Good stuff!
Well Done! I have often thought of trying a resto but, I get lazy and worry I will not finish it. It was neat to see friend’s become involved in the lifting heavy things department. The year model CJ also gives the option to excellent powertrain choices.
Going with 33’s coupled with the Generals makes wonderful eye candy including good street manners and off-road performance.
So cool to see you young men doing this. Happy for you
Great Video you are learning life long skills great job.
Great job and great video. All around, an excellent display of dedication. Congrats gentlemen!
Just came across your channel. Amazing work man! This is exactly how i'd build one. I like how you didn't cut corners and did a quality job while still making it a very accessible build that isn't into the near 6 figures like many people end up doing.
Awesome job guys - love that understated finish. Nice, really nice.
Outstanding job, glad to see you have the perseverance to follow through and finish it. Good for you keep up the great work
Makes me miss my CJ-7.
Nice job.
Absolutely an incredible job..i know that because you wrenched it you'll take care of it. Thank you for sharing. Take care.
I would only have done 2 things differently, this is not a rub against you guys!!! You did awesome. I would use that engine, but with a cam for low end torque, and I would have had the frame hot dipped galvanized instead of powder coated.
This is an AWESOME JEEP!!
Congratulations. You did an amazing job. Health to drive
great job. looks great. I have a JK in anvil. love the color
Great rebuild! Looks awesome!
Beautiful piece of art brother. I’ve been doing an 84 CJ7 myself and it’s a lime green with a 350 Chevy, turbo 400, and 44 inch tsl boggers
Excellent video! Beautiful Jeep. This gave me some much needed confidence and motivation for my project vehicle
Sick, I definitely agree anvil is prob the best color Jeep has come out with. Nice job
CJ 7 's have a great instrument panel! good color, meats and definitely do the 4.10 upgrade!!!
Amazing job guys!
Man! U really made it look very simple..... Beautiful jeep.
If I still had my old '84 CJ-7, I would have paid you to help with the restoration. Talk about talent and skill. I think I speak for everyone here, Well done young man!
My FIRST "car" ... JEEP ! I had a 1985 CJ-7...man this takes me back. I had that thing for almost 5 years.. worked on it quite a bit. Never had to touch that 258 straight 6 though. This video takes me back. NICE WORK Boys...also it is AWESOME to see young guys in the garage. No F'in Play-station in sight !
Great job man! Always excited to see others around my age interested in cars. It's a hard thing to come by now a days. Keep up the good work!
This is so cool!! I just built a 94’ wrangler! The guy we got it from had already changed the engine to a ford V8!!
Excellent job guys. I’m so proud of you but yet I envy your skills. Amazing
I know I'm a little late for the party, but what a beautiful Jeep and great build! These types of videos provide inspiration for what I might like to someday do with my '98 TJ project. For now, I'm just going to focus on getting it safe for everyday road use. Texas is also by far one of the best and friendliest states I've ever visited!! Cheers from Canada!!
Dude that is so awesome!! Love it!
Amazing job, great work!!! Will keep an eye out for new videos!
Nice rebuild. Reminds me of my youth and rebuilding Jeeps. Love the anvil color
Awesome video and your jeep turned out GREAT.
Awesome CJ7, you guys did an amazing job and the video work was great really showed the whole process.

I love the anvil color!! That’s what I got my yj painted in
When I bought my JK in 2013, they had just come out with that color, but only on the 10th Anniversary Rubicon editions. I wanted it so damn bad on my Sport, but couldn't :'(
looks awesome. just got myself a 1980 cj7. just need to get it running good
Oh wow! Awesome build!!
Definitely my favorite color too!
Good video and i really like the restoration! The custom touches that were HAND built by the crew, dig the colors, and don't be ashamed of your race seats/harnesses...safety is sexy. Thank you and jeep at it
Great! job, Beautiful CJ
WOW. That's a really good job. I'm looking at doing something a little more extreme with my jku, but I'm pleasantly surprised by the lack of "specialty" tools that you needed to get this entire job done. The CJ looks amazing, ya'll did a great job. Congrats!
Outstanding. Great skill set fellas, made my day. Job well done.
viewed from argentina tonigth. thank you !
Very impressive! You guys look like you're still in high school and it is amazing that you have such talent and vision at your age - total respect. Agree with your choice of color - looks great. Be safe and keep up the videos.
Damn nice Jeep, it’s cool that your dad is teaching what I think is the best hobby ever,,, restoring cars in the garage and talking about chics, and drinking when the camera is not recording.
Great build!
Looks fantastic, great job guys!!!!
Wow this is great!

That’s in rough shape 😹. I pulled my 73 cj5 out of the woods. The tub fell of it no fire wrench needed. Good video
