You can get really cheap Jeeps at an auction and start building it yourself. The aftermarket support is insane, probably second to none. Just Empty Every Pocket.
Great build! Nice to see the original Jeep being built Bulletproof. Looking at that CJ7 reminds me of the old Rubicon days of the early 90s! Having Jeep Corporation come out and study our builds. Lo-and-behold behold, years later they came out with their Rubicon model! Now days people can buy it without building it. I don't know if I agree with that, you learned nothing.
Congratulations on the video, it was very good, I live in Brazil, this panel that is above the black manure is easy to find there for purchase and shipping to Brazil
WooWee! You guys really know how to resurrect these old school Jeeps. I got a 95 YJ; I can’t stop dreaming about a rebuild and engine swap. Thanks for the videos.... Keep’um coming. 👍🏼
This is sweet. I would love to do this to my 85, verbatim really. Never thought of an LS swap (per se), I thought about keeping it Mopar. Very nice job all around
Waking up to this vid, and big F#^$*n smile on my face too, sick ass rig Sir! I can wait till I get mine back up n running. I'm an artist. Not a mechanic but I've put yhst aside and been working on my yj everyday for the past 3 months, I'm just missing the spark GRRRRrrr, I've come so close and I'm not giving up!!
@@ericmuhlbeier8023 I do agree with that too...I have a 77 CJ5 myself with the 258. Love the engine, but it actually came with the 304 factory (PO swapped). I would love to see what a 360 or 401 can do...nothing like keeping the AMC name in it
@@georgeadolf666 I'm rebuilding the 360 I swapped in mine last summer right now and can't wait for that same feeling! I got the wfo hangar aswell and have been drooling over this one... we have the same paint job too
Can you share what the full cost of rebuilding this Jeep was? I am looking at purchasing an old CJ7, and would want to restore it to this exact design.
How do you get away with not running a track bar with a spring over kit , I tried not running a track bar on a Yj with spring over and 4” lift springs and steering was uncontrollable, I’d like to lose the track bar and sway bar any suggestions
I'm curious how long those leaf springs are. I've got a CJ7 in tht shop right now with Rubicon Express springs that are easy to short. They only measure 42" & nobody at RE HQ can give me any information. Frustrating!
My CJ is better hahahahaha. Well in some ways definitely yes. Mainly, because it's mine and I built it, but you guys built a nice Jeep there. Wait a minute, I think I used quite a few WFO Concepts parts on mine. Yes. Yes I did. Your company rocks!
Chickens Float Oh yeah. If you have a factory working gas and temperature gauge that’s very rare. I personally switched mine out for Autometer pod gauges.
@@kenneychappuis1853 ya my 81 cj one works fine aswell as our 66 although that has a slightly different gauge. My dads 77 works and out 85 cj7 also works. The 81, 77, and 66 all have been in the family for many years but the 85 we haven't tested it much so i assume it functions. It reads how much fuel but we have never ran a tank through it. Also my grandpa used to own these jeeps aside from the 85 and his dad used own and work at a speedometer shop so if its broke he probably has fixed it or moded it to be reliable. Even the ford and prestolight ignition systems he modified so they are pretty reliable although the ford system on my 81 gave up the ghosr so now i have a hei
Lots of quality in this rig. I got instant respect for the builder when I saw that rear pinion angle. Very nice!!
It's taken me some time...but I got the 86...got the 6.0....got the 37s. HERE WE GO!
That is one gorgeous jeep! What a beast! I was also happy to see a manual transmission.
this just shot to the top of my “if i win the lottery” list.
Why don’t you just start piecing it together now? You don’t need to win the lottery, hell you can get a welder on Amazon for 300 bucks.
Bro I hear ya.

Man that CJ is perfect. Clean, Strong, Fast, Reliable.
I want to own my TJ forever and then r r r retro mod just like this. Inspirational.
Best CJ ever! The 6.0, the color, the seats, the dash, the stretch, it’s all perfect!
Really miss my old cj5 same color and ride ,never should have sold ,but got 1950 willys pickup, and 99 Sierra now , but still miss the cj

Such a clean simply awesome build🔥🔥🔥. Sorry about the hat but I’m sure you know where to get another one...😂🤣😂

Very nice! Simple but effective. I can't believe you went back for the hat lol
@wfo contacted you guys directly via the website for more info. Great build, very nice!
Sweet!!
So cool bro amazing, out of this world.
Awesome Jeep looks great. Sounds so good. Regards from Townsville Australia
I absolutely loved this video....WFO rocks!!
Thats not a warn zeon winch. Its the Evo. But I still love that CJ. Great video!
Just checking out your Jeep, what kinda seats are those, I like them. Cool Jeep too
I really liked what you guys did with this simple but amazing im looking to do the same thing with my scrambler where is your shop located
Sweeet baby CJ !!!, I'm freaking jealous whom ever is getting this 😁👍 You have done justice to this Jeep 👍😎👌
My dream project car.. i wish i can have this one too..
If the frame on my CJ 8 wasn't still twisted from my last rollover that would be my wishlist 🤣
Very cool. Finally a vehicle that can do something other than burning the back tires off.
Sounds Great!!!...Nothing like Chevy Power!!!....Done Right!!....What Transmission are You Using??......Beautiful Work Done!!!
Wow. SAAAWEEEEET!!!!. What a beast. I really need to do this to my YJ 😆. Great job. 👍
Definitely my dream build.
How Much>?
Who makes that straight stick manual shifter? Need that for my CJ!
I can get behind this...finally a Jeep thats STILL a Jeep
The fact they kept alot of the cj aspects is cool but the chevy motor part kills it .. should be a 401

My old Willy’s MB had a 365HP 327 with a Super T10.
How did you change the wheel lug pattern for the axles. Please share a link to the parts
Nice CJ! What exhaust setup is on that Jeep?
All I heard mentioned was 3" tubes out back with Stainless Magnaflow muffler; Adv Adapters headers.
Estas joyas donde esta están, pais ciudad
I’ve got a 1986 cj7 and I’m gonna be building it but when I’m older cause why not might lS9 swapp it
Awesome clean build!

Seu jipe ficou lindo parabéns pelo belo trabalho
Parabéns,o jeep está muito bonito,só os pneus do lado direito estão montados errado, estão invertidos.
Love all your builds
Can't wait to put an LS in my TJ
Love your builds
Very clean build.
I'm interested in that s-pod switching station. Who makes it and where did you buy it?
"nothing flashy"
ha! compared to my pretty well stock '72 CJ5 it's pretty fancy ;)
I have an '86 auto with Howell. Where did you get the new steering column?
Waoo, waoo, waoo, it is a little gorilla moster You hoy there, nice and simple but a kick ass jeep with that LS on it, sheers , congrats 👍🏼👍🏼👌👌👌
Greetings, what transfer do you have mounted on the CJ7? I have a cj7 with 4 liter bun but I don't know what transfer to mount.
What manual trans is married up to the V8?
Briefly mentioned it in the video, an nv4500
How’s it on gas
Is this still for sale? How much?
How does this one with the 6.0 compare to the white YJ with the 5.3?
An idea of the price for one of those jeeps
Very clean and nice
Thank you! Cheers!
It’s for sale?😍😍😍😍😍
Fantástico projeto, valeu pelo vídeo brother.
beautiful CJ7!!
Amazing man! well done

We never have any issues with CJ, maybe there is something up with your suspension geo. Give our a shop a call! 530.268.9494

What we do for our hats! Id do the same though...lol

I have a cj7 its the one in my profile picture it pretty cool too.
What transmission are you running?
I love it but it needs polished wheels imo. Deep dished 15' polished.
Where can i get that Willwood 4 piston ebrakes for my Rear Dodge Dana 60 on my CJ?
I have a 78 cj7 . What does that kind of build cost ?
@wfo, what rear springs are in this?
Did yall have to do a small body lift to fit the nv4500 to clear the tub tunnel?
We did not do any body lift.
I do believe in power, but I also believe in far to much power and isnt an ls 6 too much for such a short wheelbase? Please correct me if im wrong.
Such a nice jeep
How much for WFO CJ 7 jeep to build another?
Part number for the upper radiator house??
That thing is awesome !
How much would a build like this cost?
Probably 40000 50000 grand
How much cost such a beautiful Projekt? We Need this in Germany 🥰🥰🥰
