(waving from southeast Michigan) Thank you SO MUCH for traveling through Michigan and saying lovely things about our state! I think a lot of folks sleep on Michigan as a vacation destination, but gosh, we have some wonderful places to visit. 😊❤️👍 PS. The state campgrounds get filled six months out (thats the earliest you can book).
Welcome to our beautiful state of Michigan! So fun to see you visiting such great stops. I'm from only a city away from Grand Haven -- Holland, MI. Hope you also get a chance to visit Pictured Rocks in the Upper Peninsula as well. It's a must see in Michigan.
Omg I'm cryin. LOL I am so glad you made it to my state. Please come again and visit Mackinac. YOU WILL not regret it. I'm so happy right now. I just love you kids.
You should see that lighthouse in the winter. Holy Smokes. You really wouldn't want to be there in the winter unless you can handle the Lake Michigan winds and literally freezing. You're also not far from Holland which is the Michigan "Tulip Holland" location. SO pretty.
Hey guys - as an expat Brit living in Michigan since 2004 I first caught your UK trip and now you're here in MI. Awesome! Looking forward to catching a few more videos!
WHAT??? My hometown!!!!! We were there on the boardwalk that same night! Grand Haven Beach has the best sand in the world! It used to be our best kept secret, but not anymore!!!!
Grew up in Grand Haven most of my childhood before moving to Texas after my freshman year of high school. Certain things I do miss up there and Grand Haven especially. Spring and summer time up there is nice. Now winters I do not miss the snow one bit lol. Glad you guys enjoyed the area though. One thing to add jumping off that pier is risky though. The pier originally was made with lots of rocks underneath it, some people have drowned because of it. But always a good time walking the boardwalk and pier.
Have lived in the mitten my whole life and have never been to Grand Haven! Thank you for sharing your time there. Might have to try out the campground you guys stayed at.
Hooray for Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore! Be sure to hike the Empire Bluff Trail. It's a beautiful wooded trail that opens to stunning views of Lake Michigan, North and South Manitou Islands. Another hidden gem up there is the Clay Cliffs Conservation Area trail (not within the Park boundaries, but nearby). Take it counter-clockwise. Pyramid Point is another good trail in the Park. For beaches, go to Esch Road Beach, or Pierport beach, especially for sunset. If you go to Pierport, be sure to fill your drinking water containers from Old Faceful, the artesian well at the east end of the parking lot. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that area.
I'm a cruiser, but loving seeing the MI videos. You weren't that far from me! There are many great little towns all along Michigan's West coast. Our spot of choice is Duck Lake state park, which is a lake, that connects to Lake Michigan under an overpass. It's near Whitehall. It's a perfect place for a quiet afternoon, as it's not usually too over-run with people. It's supposed to actually be 80 tomorrow, so it will probably be my last chance for a beach day this year. Living 30 minutes away from the big lake is the best! If you are ever back with the RV, take "Scenic" drive the whole way, along the lakeshore. If you can ever do a fall color tour, along lake MI, your mind will be blown. Mid-October in northern MI is when the color hits peak.
Next time your in Michigan please let me know I would love to take you and the family fishing me and you oldest son are both marines and I watch your chanal alot soit was nice to see you visited Michigan!
Visited this place first time in 1994 from Australia from Sydney and again in 2002 beautiful at was intriguing the water from Grand Haven up to Mackinaw Island stays with me forever.
SO excited to see you made it to Michigan!! Waving hello from central MI! Enjoy our beautiful state!! You'll probably need to come back, because there's so much to see and do, that just a couple of days won't cut it. To get spaces in our state parks, you MUST book 6 months in advance of when you want to go, otherwise, you probably won't get into the very popular parks. Our campgrounds, public and private, are very popluar all summer long. Hope you enjoy your journey through the Mitten, and guessing the UP!! 💜💜
The lead singer kind a look like Freddie Mercury?! Couldn’t really tell how they sounded. There was a band on NCL Gem when we were cruising in June they were from the Philippines called Ice Bucket. They did a fantastic job singing Queen sounded just like him. They got a standing ovation every time.
You made it to my home state!! Michigan is beautiful, head up to the straits of Mackinac and to my home town of St.Ignace, and further north to Taqaunamon Falls and Whitefish Bay!!
Great to see a UA-camr video from Michigan! ( I get it, UA-camrs prefer the southern states for warmer weather, but seriously those states have been covered inside and out.) Michigan is beautiful in all seasons. BTW, Grand Haven has a one of a kind ,"Worlds largest" musical water fountain on the shoreline of the Grand River. Shows run nightly Memorial day thru Labor Day. Free awesome entertainment!
Next time make your quesadilla the old fashioned way. Preheat the tortillas a bit so they are pliable, then put in your ingredients and fold them in half. Much easier to turn over that way and pick up and eat. 😃
Y'all need to look into canal life with house boats in the UK and all throughout Europe YT'r downielive just did a series on houseboating in the UK, and I think you'd be down for the challenge

Always happy to see my favorite UA-camrs travel to my area. Glad y’all enjoyed it. Come back to that same area in the winter to see the snow.

Was in Grand Haven a couple weeks ago. My daughter lives up that way. We love our Michigan!
Where you parked your RV was the old Eagle Ottawa Leather tannery that closed a few decades ago. Land used to be contaminated but they cleaned it up.
That looked an ausome place to stay... living the dream you guys
Love it! ❤
Next time your in Michigan please let me know I would love to take you and the family fishing me and you oldest son are both marines and I watch your chanal alot soit was nice to see you visited Michigan!
Awesome video, get you some Jane's Krazy Seasonings Mixed Up Salt to put in your pan before the tortilla it will step up your quesadilla game.
Visited this place first time in 1994 from Australia from Sydney and again in 2002 beautiful at was intriguing the water from Grand Haven up to Mackinaw Island stays with me forever.

We absolutely LOVED Michigan!! We spent about 10 days there last summer but want to go back to see more.
Great video ❤❤❤❤
Hi from Southeast Michigan near Lake Erie. So glad you are featuring our Mitten state🎉❤
Love this video so much❤
Next time make your quesadilla the old fashioned way. Preheat the tortillas a bit so they are pliable, then put in your ingredients and fold them in half. Much easier to turn over that way and pick up and eat. 😃
my family lives there wanna move there so bad
I also love quesadilla s.
Do you leave your bikes on the back of the van when you're not there? If so, you feel the set-up is secure enough to thwart off potential theft?
Most Michigan campgrounds require reservations 6 months in advance. 😉
Next time fold your tortilla in half and flip like that way easier
Are you coming through Chicago?
Avoiding all that traffic so not this trip
Y'all need to look into canal life with house boats in the UK and all throughout Europe
