In the setup for this scenario it says that the Town Armys deck should have 2x Skill card. Further down it says that the skill is Ballista war machine card. Can you explain that? Me and a friend does not seem to be able to sort out how it works and the significance of it. Also: nowhere else can I find that the rules says "Skill card". Happy if you can help out!
@Edmontonia so a Skill Card is the AI Deck Card that has the symbol of the mortarboard cap (the graduation hat). (Might is the Horned helm, and Magic is the classic Wizard's hat) The "Skill Card's Skill" in this Scenario is the Ballista itself, which is set aside for the Town Deck, and the Skill effect is the effect of the Ballista in this case. So when you, the player, have a Ballista, it fires at the start of the round. The AI Ballista does NOT do this. It only fires when you draw the Skill Card from the AI deck. For example, my Skill Card on Normal difficulty said, "AI Uses its skill." So when that would come up, I would have fired the AI Ballista at my lowest initiative unit like my Ballista does to the AI at the start of the combat round. I hope that was clear enough!
@@derekvash I actually just found the section explaining this in the Missions rulebook. I havent read it yet so your answer here absolutely helps. And I think it makes sense and is crystal clear, this is roughly how I imagined the mechanic would work but I couldn't for the life of me find it in the rulebooks. 😅 Thank you very much!
Loved the gameplay but flying creatures cannot stand on walls. You need to destroy the wall first. And only the defenders can use the gate as well until you destroy it.
@csabaidonat that is what I figured. I did do a little too much rule bending in my favor this match. I would have had Act II uploaded but we are without power here for an indefinite amount of time. Stay tuned! As always, thanks for pointing out any errors I may make!
You cheated the whole game 😅 You are NOT supposed to have an "income" at the beginning of the game.. its only a starting resource -- but you had added that to your town income the whole game ( town starting income is 0 gold, 0 resources and 0 building materials - unless stated otherwise ) - this scenario has +5 gold production ( im still not sure how to interpret that though )
At the first Resource Round where I check my "income", I am at 15 gold. You start at 10 gold every scenario. There is no 0 gold production, the +5 Gold Production puts you at 15 in this scenario. As for the building materials I get, I had flagged a Building Material mine before the round. Starting resources for this scenario are 14 gold, 8 Building Materials, and 3 Valuables. I followed the instructions for setup when it comes to my production. I am not sure what I was doing wrong regarding that. You are correct in that I would start at 0 on everything (aside from Gold as there is no possible 0.) and I did that.
@@Chen7500 that is also not a "ha ha, shut up!" reply from me, just explaining where my line of thinking came from as when I get called out on a rules flub, I try to address it and explain where I was coming from. In my earlier Solo attempts I make a lot of mistakes, I still upload my videos because it can help me learn for "next time,"
Ahhh - thank you for clearing that up for me !! I have been making things alot harder on my self than needed 😅 thank you very much for this information @@derekvash
01:19:07 I fix my level up error, but I do it Incorrectly, I should be grabbing Ability Cards not Statistic Cards

@@Chen7500 no problem, I hope this makes it a little easier for you. No production at all sounds brutal. 😂
