@vitaliri Yes, of course. The Sleeves I use are CHEAP. I buy them in packs of 1,000 because I have so many card games, its easier to replace a sleeve than a card. They tend to stick, too. Anyway, they are Ultra Pro - Penny Sleeves
@nycoshouse Did you pledge during the Cove/Conflux campaign? I hope you get ypur game soon. If ypu chose Legacy Shipping, you should be getting all the "old" stuff esrly next year from what I read. If you did not, well, see you in Autumn 2025! (I chose to wait for that myself as I had no need for Legacy)
@derekvash yes I pledged during conflux/cove/naval expansion with legacy as well, I don't have the core game yet, but by seeing your videos, it's such a great game. My only worry is "are armies feel not all the same" with these few properties (attack, defence, health points, initiativ)
@nycoshouse I think once I learned the game better and tried to put more units, I think the Silver Tier and up start to give you the different feels in battle. The Bronze Tier all feel very "samey" most of the time, but then again... everyone wants the big stuff and wants to get rid of the trash! A somewhat equal starting ground helps, plus the random spells everyone gets keep it interesting. It's going against "AI" that makes it all feel the same. It just won't do the unpredictable or bold mpves a human challenger will do. It tries to do the same thing forever, but even then, it is still fun!
@nycoshouse neat. I will probably do the official one next September. They also promoted the fan-made rulebook so I will have to redo my "Learn to Play" video.
Derek, how do you have so many empowered statistic cards in the beginning of this scenario? Did you bring it over from the previous chapter? 😂 Nice job! I guess it had to do something with the fact you played with events in the previous chapter, as I rarely have an option to empower my statistic cards and you already have a few! :D
@csabaidonat the Astrologer's Proclaim cards all got me Empowered, and then I got Scholar. I am beefed up big time for Act III. It's going to help a ton. I double-checked to make sure I carry those over, and yes, ALL Statistic Cards currently in your deck carry over when you set up your deck for the next game. So it's a mix of bringing some over from the previous chapter and then getting more. I think I have only Empowered stats now, I am ready to face Lord Haart!
@csabaidonat I highly doubt it will happen like this on my next Campaign though, I try to play with un-sleeved cards so I can "experience everything" at least once. Since I had just opened Inferno, I had no clue I would be setting myself up so well. It is all well and mixed in now. No instant boosts!
@csabaidonat I can't recall. Since I do not remember, but I do remember building it, I will say... probably not. 🤣 I know I built one, but forget exactly when. The paralysis thing will need to be remembered by me next time. I figured it literally paralyzed them, I guess, according to boardgamegeek, it does not prevent retaliation. Weird.
Nice video. Some minor feedback: I saw that you rolled xp for a treasure chest with your 2. hero. If this happens, the xp are lost, because the 2. hero can not gain levels. This is even clarified in the designers-commentary, page 4: "Q: What if I gain a Treasure die with my Secondary Hero and I roll experience on it? A: Secondary Heroes cannot gain experience, so this effect is ignored. If your Secondary Hero gains any cards or resources, take them as if they were gained by your Main Hero. You ignore the roll only if it shows XP"
@DasJengo bah! Thank you. I had messaged the developers on BGG about Morale tokens and his reply was "anything your secondary hero gains goes to the Main Hero." He must have meant anything physical rewards. Oh well. Thanks for the direct reference to the rules!
1:18:09 Christ so this is what two locations supposed to mean?! Damn I thought I cannot flag 2 fields on the primary map as the second one would trigger the combat with the AI hero. This mission book wording is just killing me… -_-
@csabaidonat That was my personal best interpretation of what it meant. The rules were so unclear, but after reading them, it felt like the enemy Hero was supposed to be the "Grand Finale," so that was what I went with, and it felt right.
@csabaidonat I have the card here. They do ignore retaliation. However, the final battle here is SLOPPY. I explained it a bit later, but I had to re-film it several times, and I was just ready to stop. It's not really a good excuse for poor examples of following rules, but it is the reason it's so.... haphazard in the presentation. (I did win every time I filmed, I just kept forgetting those AI cards!)
@stormquiver They could be, but I chose to have them in the front to not have the Combat Penalty. I like to do that early on when I am fighting just Bronze Tier. Once units tend to survive a few hits, then I keep my ranged fighters in the back. If they are required to be there, I missed that rule and will need to read up on it.
@@derekvash my bad, as per the rules. it is only the neutral units that are effected by this rule. players are free to setup their units however they want in the back and front rows.
Great video, very clear shot. Very informative.
Can you please tell us which sleeves you are using for the play cards?
Thanks!

27:16 I know it is weird but paralyzed units DO retaliate. Also did you have your citadel already when you upgraded the gorgons to pack around 25:00?
I am not sure how the Gnolls could make an attack on the basilisks around 28:14. It is more than 3 movement for a ground unit. :)
