Heroes 3: Say Hello to my little friend Skeleton Warrior (Necropolis part 3)

In part 1 and 2, I played with Vidomina on HOTA. But it turned out that HOTA nerfs the Necromancy skill so much that it's just not winnable.
So this time I replay with Isra on Heroes 3 Complete :)

As for the spellcasting in the battle itself: animate dead is to minimize loss. Berserk and Blind are used too, because it's a core part of the game and no one is preventing me from casting them and having some fun - especially with an opponent with such huge armies :)

To be fair, the bible has some pretty metal stories about technically undead/immortal warriors. The Four Horsemen can be categorized as undead but they're holy figures.

The basilisks were the MVP. They scored the only permanent kill on the dungeon side.

Depends on what version of Heroes 3 you are playing. In HotA Necro is actually considered pretty weak.

@@Unknown_Web_User Nope. It was the strongest (along with Conflux) in Shadow of Death. In Hota, the strongest towns are Cove and Castle with Fortress and Stronghold right behind them. Necro is mid tier.

Wow. Expert on all of schools of magic. Another way to play is using clone spell on skels to lose enemies counter after using blind all enemies. Also always use spell slow. Nice vidz mate
The clone always act after the stack that got cloned from so you don't make any sense. Learn the game before giving advises is a good way to start.

God!!! Play this when I was a kid, I spent weeks in one game. He asked me if there's going to be a cell phone version.
Now there is an android / ios version: you can google for "heroes 3 hd edition", it's a remaster by Ubisoft. Be noted though, it only contains the ROE version, no expansions (for example, SOD) so a lot of things are missing (maps, creatures from SOD etc...)

Dont understand how can you cast spell so much time in a row? Im noob :D
When we have blinded all units on their side then they can't do anything.
Thus we are free to cast spells from then on (of course, only for the duration of the Blind spell)
@@EmiliaKaida Prob why they started giving the Heroes their own turn in the next game. No reason a Hero couldn't, you know, dispel or something. ;P lol

there is a bug in original heroes 3 version, if you hold "C" and click on your hero, it will let you cast twice. Do it on singleplayer only though)

necropolise (specialy with the necrom set) quickly gets realy strong
After that I was never allowed to play Necropolis ever again.

It's month 3 in-game, but this is a somewhat special map (opponents grow fast, so I can farm a lot of skeletons)

Thats why Water magic is a must. One spell and all the shit is gone from all your units. Mass blind only works against AI

@@gregoryfox725 It depends on situation , but each time you curse me or debuf me - I get rid of it with mass cure. Any shit you throw on me - Slow , curse , buf on your units whatever. Water magic dispel / cure and puff - all your magic is gone.
You can also resurect and attack with Water magic. Water / Earth is Awesome.
Wind is also greate. But If I had to skipp one ability - it would be Fire magic.
Maybe if you are playing necro - Fire is nice - but personaly I never play necro so dont have that much expirience with them

Hi Emilia, i guess we use same version of homm3 (complete + SoD_SP plugin). But as i can see you have queue of creatures in battle. my version of sod_sp 1.19.0.9 (without that function) and the newest 1.19.3.1.
and my question is - do they add queue in new version? :)
No, actually the queue is thanks to the HD+ mod, it should appear with just it installed :)
You could check for the line = 1 in the "Tweaks" tab inside the Launcher, or add the line if it doesn't exist.
If it still doesn't work, maybe you could try reinstalling.
@@EmiliaKaida thank you so much and im so sorry, im just blind as f*ck :D i have queue at THE BOTTOM (like in hota) :DDD and I'm so used to it that I didn't even pay attention. and when i saw you have queue on the right side of the screen i was just "wow what is it? looks nice" :D

btw - now when I look at the models of the creatures they look a bit... different? is that mode or just some HD settings?
@@BK-201 This is just H3 Complete with HD+ mod. It seems with this setup, battle queue will be on the right.
And no, the mode has no change to creatures :)
In this video it's just a big lagging because the OBS recording software so you might think it's different.
@@EmiliaKaida well, maybe, or cos of resolution (in game), im just used to play in 1920x1080(and everything is small), but in lower resolution creatures look larger and are perceived differently.

How long did you have to spend on one map to have an ai with that many units?.. 142 Black dragons unless its a multi castle map, would be like 70+ weeks right?...or double that don't remember if you get like 1 or two per week.

How did you get 720 mana? Even with the Thunder helmet and a Mana vortex you only have 640. Did you have a Lion's shield of courage in your backback? :D
Yes, but it was some other artifact that gives +to the knowledge. Also, don't forget the Mana vortex thingie from Dungeon :)

In HOTA you would also not be able to exploit AI weakness so easily. They can dispel in HOTA, yo know.
No, in SOD/Complete they WILL cast cure/dispel/haste too. I tested and saw it a million times so I know :D
The core thing in the game is that, you need to find a flow in the battle that will make the AI change its spellcasting order. So, *some* reloads are needed, until you figure it out yourself and move your units /cast your spells in a specific way that make the AI cast spells in a rather, well, bad way.

How do you have more than 2x your max spell points? Did i forget some mechanic cause i thought max was 2x max
Simple: put on a helmet that gives a lot of knowledge. Visit dungeon town -> 2x mana.
Then replace that helmet with a lesser one -> you now have less knowledge :)
In short, it's just because of some artifact changes.

Hello, my settings of HD mod (for H3 Complete) are:
- Mode: (stretchable) 32 bit GDI
- Source size: 1180 x 664
- Stretch filter: Bilinear 2x Sharper
- Render threads: 4
Pretty standard I think. You can always play around and see :)

Is this some kind of hacked homm3 version? I never saw that interface during a fight, and as far as I know your heroe can only use one spell per round 🤔

About the spellcasting: it's a core mechanics of heroes 3. Once you have blinded ALL your enemy troops then they CAN"T do anything, and you're free to cast spells (for the duration of blind - that is, how many your power skills are)
@@EmiliaKaida ah that spell you used. Thanks for explanation, makes more sense now 😀. Blinded enemies can only attack nearby enemies but don't move. I played homm3 few days ago and was just confused.
@@marcelg8493 Actually they can't move or do anything at all :) They are just literally blinded and standing there doing nothing for that duration.
