If you have time, I have a question. I just purchased a 2016 KTM 500EXC. I'm 5'6" and the stock height was way to tall for me. The dealer installed the KTM/WP lowering kit (50mm lower). The problem is, the dealer could not tell me what the spring rate now is. If you are familiar with this kit, do you know the spring rate of this kit?
Great vid @jeff slavens ! Do I need to adjust the oil amount when I change springs ? Will it be altered by moving to heavier springs ?
As usual, another great tutorial. Thanks!
Great video, thank you! Is a spring rattling noise normal on these forks?
No
Hey Jeff, I have a 450 EXC 2014. I wanna change the fork springs however, Do i need to adjust any valving etc? Or is it as simple as this video is?
You don't have to revalve the forks however they can be improved with a quality revalve. Try it with springs first then evaluate from there.
Hello Jeff. For extreme enduro who's best, this one or wp xplor 2017?
if you go faster than 10mph then these!
What if your model doesn’t have the 4 pin tool
Some models don't have a preload adjuster. On those models use a 24mm wrench on the hex and loosen the cap.
any reason that your springs are 505mm when the manual calls for 513mm?
NVM, im an idiot. measurement in manual is length of spring with spacers.

The factory springs are also 505mm. 513 is with spacers

That kit is a one size fits all so I usually don't recommend it unless you weigh between 165-187lbs.
Cool. Thank you
No problem!
