    Jeff, as a long time woods rider from the PNW, I want to say I really appreciate the helpful videos lately! Very refreshing to have insightful , informative information that actually helps the riding community vs "look at me ride, I'm an expert" bike reviews dominated by "support me, buy my swag". Keep up the great work!

      You're welcome. It's also refreshing to know that not everyone buys in to the BS from Mr. Poor Me, help me support my big house, my big boat, my big truck, my big trailer and my garage full of nice bikes.

      @@slaverace1 I think you might be surprised by the number of actual experienced riders who prefer depth and experience over shallow, used car salesman approach. Regardless, your videos are extremely helpful and appreciated!
      BTW, long term V33s Gekkota review? Hearing good things.

      firffighter I’m not Jeff, but the VE33s is my go to tire. Climbs soft loam and crawls through rocks super well. It’s not a m5b on hillclimbs but i think it’s the most versatile tire you can buy. I even got 50hrs average on the thing. But I run them down pretty dang far. Idk. My go to tire for everything right now

    Thanks for your video. I ordered parts for ours then found out you need another tool to complete the right hand fork to remove the adjuster top to replace cartridge oil.

    Is the procedure for the air spring side the same? How much oil and what weight goes on the air spring side? Thanks for the video!

    • @slaverace1
      @slaverace1  5 років тому

      Yes, the procedure is the same for both sides.
      Oil info is in your owner's manual.

    I have the same forks, the wp aer 48 forks. I replaced the the fork seals on my right fork and after I was done I noticed its a lot easier to compress the fork together then it is on the left side. Is this how it’s suppose to be?

    • @slaverace1
      @slaverace1  3 роки тому

      One fork leg has air pressure, the other only has valving but no pressure.

  • @masondyer3901
    @masondyer3901 5 місяців тому

    Do you need to release the air pressure in the fork if your just replacing the seals?

    i thought the air forks had no oil

    • @slaverace1
      @slaverace1  3 роки тому +1

      No, they definitely have oil that runs through the valving and lubricates all the moving parts.
