Okay, this is so much better than when people do the tie dye stuff where they just sprinkle it on top of the cream bed thingy. Much better swirls. I kinda want to try it this way.
What’s the best way to use shaving cream? I’ve seen a lot of people drop liquid dye on top of the shaving but then there is your way where you dye the shaving cream itself
I'm about to try this. Got my idye poly coming soon... does the disc have to be white? How well does it work on champion plastics? So you just eyeball how much powder to use and dont mix the powder in water first? Just straight into the shaving cream? Saw a video where they mixed the shaving cream with water to make it go further I suppose any thoughts there?
I've tried this about 8 times and only once had the disc hold colour... im using a star corvette thats white. I leave it over 24 hours and it all washes straight off... I tried wiping the disc with acetone beforehand and still nothing... im thinking maybe we have different shaving cream in Australia? Its becoming very frustrating because I follow all the steps and doesn't hold any colour. Hope you can help, cheers
what dye are you using? it has to be the "poly" version of this. Specifically idye poly. so it will take to plastic. www.jacquardproducts.com/idye-poly
same happened to me. as I understand it the dye is activated with water so either mix in water with the shaving cream or get a spray bottle and after you put your dye on the shaving cream give it a spray with some water. i tried again using this method and the dye held much perfectly.
Wow. Great result! Maybe this is out of line, but you should perhaps try to stop saying "umh" so often 😂 A silent pause is much preferred, makes it better for the listener ❤

So this method doesn’t dye the stamp?
Correct will not dye the stamp or the foil
Most stamps are not affected by idye, but for some reason a stamp on my s-line pd came off during the dye process.
