Thanks Craig, glad you could dig it! I'm using mostly Worm Dip in this video, it takes to the plastic right away. I give all of them a good soapy cold water rinsing after and they're set to jet.
You're in a good spot Andreas, iDye should work just fine. It doesn't take much mixed with acetone, I mix roughly 1/8 tsp to about 2 oz of acetone. But really it's an eyeball measurement that I'll add more powder or acetone to as I need. Hit us with some pics of what you come up with bud!

Hmmm, dried and chipped off like paint makes me wonder if you're using the right stuff. I'm using Quick Coat Worm Dip here. Hope that helps bud, and thanks for the kind words.

@@scottc4076 that’s your problem for sure. Rit isn’t good for spinning straight out of the bottle. It’s better in bed where the disc soaks in it for a while. You’ll love the WD, stuff is awesome.

You said you aimed to hit the same point or close to it when doing one color but i never got where you are supposed to aim when switching to a different color. Should you keep aiming close to the previous line? Opposite side? Thank you! Keep doing it!
Thanks Eric! No real rules on where to land other than in the right band really, it's all comes out looking pretty dope. Hope I explained that okay... Hit us with some pics if you give a try bud!
Close James, did this one 100% with Worm Dip. I like using Worm Dip best while spinning I think. Don't have to worry about the mix, they have tons of colors that all pop off the disc, and the smell isn't quite a strong. All of it should work fine though, just personal preference at this point.
This looks super fun and looks super cool. I need to get a record player! Question if I just have idye poly can I make it liquid with water to do this method? How much powder per fluid ounce? Or should I buy a different dye?
You can definitely use iDye Poly for spin dyeing, but I would mix it acetone or alcohol instead of water. I don't really have an exact measurement there, but if I were forced to guess I would say 1/4 tsp of iDye to about 3 oz of acetone. Equally as important as the ration is making sure all of the powder is fully mixed and dissolved into the acetone. That said, I typically like to use Worm Dip when I'm spinning because it's premixed and set to go right out of the bottle.
@@TheDifferenceisDoingIt thanks. Is Spike it brand any good? What brand worm dip? Also how long does it sit after you paint it on? As long as possible? Just let it dry? Sorry you probably said this in the video
I use both Spike It and Quick Coat. If I were forced to choose, I like the Quick Coat colors better and the Spike It black better but they all work well. If you're spinning with them they should be goo to go right after putting it to the disc. A cold water rinse to help it set, and wipe down with a paper towel to get any residual dye off is always a good idea though. Hope that helps bud!
Disc looks awesome! What is your process for cleaning the disc after dye is applied? I'm having issues with discs rubbing colors on each other in the bag.

I have a question about your turntable. What did you do to get rid of the middle pin? I just got an old turntable and I want to be able to do some spins on the bottom of discs.
Hey now Josh! My turntable had a pin in the middle that needed removed as well. After opening it up and deciding that removing it would mess up the mechanism, I decided to carefully shave it down to flush with a Dremel tool. Worked like a charm.
Thank you for the awesome tutorial. I see you said you use worm dip. Do you have a brand you prefer? Also do you mix any laquer thinner with it or use it straight?

Hey now Preston! I'm using Worm Dip in this video, it's great! Comes premixed so no left over particulate and the colors pop off the disc. Just make sure you don't get the garlic scented.
What dye are you using for this?
Hey Zachary, I'm using Spike It Worm Dip. Here's a link to were I get it: www.ispikeit.com/product/150/dip-n-glo-unscented
What paint is that?
It's dye, Spike It Worm Dip to be exact. Here's a link to where I get it: www.ispikeit.com/product/150/dip-n-glo-unscented
Anybody do this to music to move with the beat?
Killer idea! I usually have James Brown blaring in the background...
How stoned do you need to get before being able to focus your eyes on it haha
I'd prolly lean more towards using the magnifier glasses over the Mary Jane, but whatever works for you bro.
Killer
Thanks so much!
You are the man. Just did my first turntable disc. www.dropbox.com/s/fc4h4u9rqg7q4n5/IMG_1887.jpg?dl=0 Question: how long do you wait for the Fiebings to dry? And can see where it looks like it pulled away near the center? Thoughts? Thanks!!!
This was my first time on the turntable so I wasn’t going to attempt a lollipop!
Hell yeah Everett, looks dope! I'm surprised you got the Fiebing's to work that well spinning with it, I never had much success. I'm sure it'll dry the same that way though, fully dry in about a day and cures in about three. Honestly my Fiebing's has been collecting dust on the shelf since I started hot dipping for black. It get much cleaner and more consistent results, definitely worth giving a try. As far as spinning goes I prefer using Worm Dip, it's set to jet right out of the bottle and the disc is good to go as soon as you're done. Hope all that helps bud, feel free to DM me anytime over on FB or IG if you have more questions. Good luck in the giveaway bud!

I was like damn this dude is a tweaker then he started impulsively itching his hand lmao
You're right bro, totally tweaked! The hand scratching though is from committing to the clap too much in the beginning, gave myself a little stinger....but still tweaked.
Uh oh someone is triggered and running low on the stash. Here comes the ultimate question do you continue to argue and look bad on your own channel or will you remember to cover the duct tape window for the next video? We clown in the comment section boiiii
@@lukelindsey3338 felt like I was agreeing... Window stays until she's road ready again, too many discs to dye for now.
Stay off drugs kids.
What kinda dyes do you use
Mostly Worm Dip in this one Gabe, but iDye Poly (or ProChem) mixed with some acetone or alcohol should work just fine too.
What kind of dye/paint is used?
Pretty much all Worm Dip on this disc, but other Poly dyes will work just fine.
What dye (mix) did you use?
No mix in this one Max, did it all with Worm Dip that comes premixed.
@@TheDifferenceisDoingIt I see; thanks for the info.
