    16:54 That was the final confirmation. As someone with ADHD I could tell you 100% had it. I had an inclination early in the video with how in depth you were with your explanations. All the tiny little details you mentioned. Very good tutorial, I appreciate each and every one of the little details you shared. Great job, Wesley.

    Thanks for the video. I will use this method for my very first try at dying a disc.

    Nice video. Just started tipping my toe in doing it myself, and had one not come out great. I think it hit the bottom of my plate which ruined it. It was good to know information! Can you do more? I know I’m late to the game with the video.

    Good work Wes, I like your content. I just played Arlington in Tennessee. You did a video there. You made that course look so easy, while it’s not. Also good work on the dying the Compass. It came out great.

    This video was AWESOME!
    Any tips on which plastics take the dye better or worse? I got a Champion Eagle in mind

    • @WesleyDoes_
      @WesleyDoes_  4 роки тому

      If you want to do champ try to make the mound bigger so the disc has more time on the dye before it bottoms out in the shaving cream

    I just want to dye my own disc but how may discs can one can of shaving cream cover ? I was thinking maybe I could lift a disc and put a new one down and get a similar dye. But if you only do fresh runs how much shave foam is there vs second dye's or even third dye's? I'ma mass produce!!! lol just cheap and broke.

    • @WesleyDoes_
      @WesleyDoes_  3 роки тому +1

      The shaving cream mounds are pretty much 1 and done. I can do 3 mounds with a cheap dollar can from Walmart.

      @@WesleyDoes_ thanks so much for replying. I like the shaving method more but knowing uses per can helps a lot.

    Have you ever used liquid dye? Would it work with this shaving cream method?

    • @WesleyDoes_
      @WesleyDoes_  4 роки тому

      I’ve used a dropper to drop acetone based fishing lure dyes onto a flat bed of cream and swirled it around with a toothpick. It works just fine. I have never tried it on a mound tho.

    Plastic allows moisture thru it over time. This is probably why you see clumps. Metallic lined bags and glass dont. Store them in glass jars. W/o anti-clumping and anti-static agends, youd have a brick that poofs the loose stuff at you each time you opened the bag. Nitrile gloves by the box are a good/cheap thing to have around. Playing with powders seems to be a skill from the 70's but is quickly becoming a lost art....Focus Danielson, focus! Thanks for another vid

    Great tutorial, 😁 How long does it take on average for the bedding to drop? 🤓✌️

    • @WesleyDoes_
      @WesleyDoes_  4 роки тому +1

      With no water and some thick shaving cream takes 6-8hours if you don’t push it down and don’t add weight.

    How long did you let it set? Plan to test this method out soon. Is there an avg time or just til it sinks all the way on its own?

    • @WesleyDoes_
      @WesleyDoes_  4 роки тому +1

    hey do you clear coat the disc after or anything or do you just leave it as is?

    • @WesleyDoes_
      @WesleyDoes_  4 роки тому

      Leave it as is. FYI if you coat a disc in anything that doesn’t rinse away it becomes illegal in PDGA events.

    Is the dye permanent? If not how long does it last?

    • @WesleyDoes_
      @WesleyDoes_  3 роки тому

      It’s permanent but after a couple of years, depending on how much time it has been in the sun, it will start fading. If left in an open field face up in direct sunlight it can fade in a few months.
