my dye seems to disperse quite a bit more in the glue than yours did, is there a reason for that? I am mixing 1/2 tsp of dye with 2 oz of acetone, and using elmers clear gue.
Would the dye go through the glue to leave the same [or any] design as on the topside of the dipped disc????? Want bottom side with design too. If the set-up pan was the underside of a disc and I followed your process. If you bottom dye, what would be your suggestion? Clear as mud?
Do you mean push down the disc below the glue bed and have it go over the top? I haven't fully submerged a disc in a bed, but have done it to the bottom of the rim.

That's the ratio I use. What colors? I know different colors act differently. And even the same brand glue can sometimes have different consistency.
Very thorough and informative.
Would this work for dyeing a disc craft ultimate frisbee or is it only for disc golf discs?
Depending on plastic type and if you can find a white one. But it should
Where did you get the stencil at the bottom of your pan?
I made it. Would it be something you'd be interested in?
Can the glue bed be warmed like a hot dip? Or lamp be better?
I've never pre-warmed clear glue before. But, heat in general helps with the dyeing process.
Would the heating process also work in an oven? Or would that be too much heat?
I would highly recommend NOT using an oven for many reasons.
Have you tried using syringes instead of the pipettes?
I personally have not, but they could totally be used.
