  • The new 370Z debuted at the 2008 Los Angeles Auto Show in November. Two packages were also on offer. The Sport package, priced from $3,000 came with RAYS 19-inch wheels, Bridgestone Potenza tires, front and rear spoilers, larger brakes, SynchroRev Match, and a Limited Slip Differential. The $1,850 Navigation package also included a 9.3 GB music box hard drive as well as an interface system for the iPod. Those were far from the most important numbers, though. Nissan managed to keep the car’s price under $30,000. The 370Z launched with an MSRP of $29,930. Meanwhile, the upscale Touring grade started at $34,460. It went on sale in North America in January 2009.
Updates were relatively minor to start. 2010 saw the introduction of the 40th Anniversary Edition. This was a Touring model wearing an exclusive “40th quartz exterior color and red leather interior. The model also received a unique wheel finish, red stitching, and a plaque of authenticity. Black Cherry also became an extra-cost exterior color. Changes for 2011 and 2012 were even milder. In the former, a rearview monitor was added to the navigation package. It also added yet another new color in Gun Metallic. The latter saw an oil cooler become standard equipment.
A major refresh was on tap for 2013, and it won’t take long for you to spot the differences. Its distinctive fangs have been removed, leaving a rectangular opening that was somewhat reminiscent of the openings on the 240Z and 350Z. I polled my viewers on which front-end execution they preferred, and the post-facelift mug won out convincingly, taking home 63 percent of the total vote. A commenter in favor of them argued that they distinguished the Z33 from other generations of the sports car. Without them, there just wasn’t very much setting it apart. A few others preferred the cleaner look of the 2013 model. One felt so strongly about it that he put it up - or down - with models like the Juke and Cube.

The "Brickyard" color on the 350, and the Black Cherry on the 370Z has to be two of my favorite colors on any car, ever.

I used to work for Nissan. The 350 and 370Z had very little issues. A fun car indeed. It sounds and looks very good. Another amazing video 👍👍

Definitely on the "To Do" list. The 2023 Z vid is up next but the GT-R shouldn't be far behind.

@@BarchettaYou think you’d consider covering anything like the Lexus GS or 90’s Toyota RWD triplet sedans (Chaser, Mark 2, Cresta)?

Always enjoyed the body lines of the 350Z and 370Z. The 370 does look more muscular. Maybe Nissan could have stuffed the VK56 in one and really gave the people what they wanted. Would probably handle poorly.

That would'be been a MONSTER. I've got a 2018 Titan with a VK56. For a truck, and n/a, it's definitely got some spunk. I can't imagine that motor being in something 1/2 the weight.

Someday I wanna get a 370z (with the fangs) to go with my 300zx, then I’ll have my 2 favorite Zs from 2 vastly different eras :)

That''s because cancelling higher frequencies would mean having to accurately track the position of the driver's eardrums - otherwise the sound would get louder and quieter depending on where your head was.

This was the start of the downfall of Nissan and the Z car, Nissan really screwed up the Z. While other car companies NEEDED to hop on the retro design language train to get buyers to buy but Nissan did not. Nissan just needed to refresh and change a few things with the 350…. That being said I will be keeping my 350 Nismo #1592… I do like the 2014 370z Nismo, which would be the only 370z I would buy if I was looking for one.

So if I throw on a 2014 nismo kit on on 370z then you’ll like it ? What are you on about it’s the same shit. A couple tunes and upgraded suspension boom you have a nismo 370z
