I inherited my Dad's trusted Canon 60D recently, but realized growing up I had only asked him about surfing and not about his photography interest. And he was good at it. He chose Canon. I took it out today to a mountain range and goofed with it, if only in his honor. But it became clear how fun a hobby this was and why he got good at it. Tip of the cap to this particular tutorial for explaining it in a way my own Dad would, only because he truly loved photography. Thanks.
Great explanation of the shutter speeds! The best I’ve stumbled upon so far. The way you explained aperture too was really clear, and the visuals like for when you were explaining how the shutter blades and aperture works inside the camera made it so clear to understand. I wish I had stumbled upon this video first! Would have saved me a lot of time. Thank you!
this is the best explanation for me till now. I think the tutorial videos needs to have your kind of understandable and visual explanation. thanks a billion...........
I've watched the 7-lesson Quick Class ($30) several times. After awhile, I did need to go through the intimidating 324 page Owner's Manual page-by-page in order to really know how this camera operates. Snap shot cameras ruined my photography skills. The class is good if you know nearly nothing (me) from my old 35mm SLR days. Learning curve is high. The Quick Class was good enough to give me a fast start without frustration. 😀
hey i liked your tutorial... and i want to watch the rest of the 3:30 hr video regarding the camera information...it really helped me a lot, specially the digital display that you have shown...Thank you, i liked your method.
Mr Greengo, I would like to know more about the 'intergrated circuts' you mentioned on your slide at 3:45. Please go into more depth regarding this. Thank you.
Camera does not have weather sealing, if it did Canon would have said so when it was introduced or at least someplace in the instruction manual, (it was misstated at a notable website when it first came out) . BTW this video isn't a review of the camera, it's the first section of several on how to use the camera.
Clearly a good teacher, but there is virtually NOTHING about operating the 60D in this 28 minute video. For that, I suppose, one has to pay for the other 3.5 hours of the course. May be a good course, but this was a waste of a half hour- no "fast start" in this intro section.
Introduction - A Fast Start Guide to the Canon 60D........It was so fast I must have missed the guide to the 60D in and among the Canon history lesson and the plugging of photography courses.
Tq very much sir...its an really a awesome video...and still am confused between canon 60d and nikkon d7000...please help me out...n i loved canon 60d more...as i got hold from my friend but d7000 dont know yet , so waiting for your reply
Very little of this is about a Canon 60D and would cover opening any box that a camera came in. Sensor size applies to ALL crop sensors, aperture applies to ALL SLR, sorry this is not about the titled video.

Yes, thank you! Finally something very visual to watch rather than all talking or writing and no pictures! Great intro :) Definitely helped me!

Memory cards do not store information on magnetic support (like harddrives). And in airport security they use X-Rays, not any magnets.

Hi how much?
almost lost the will to live watching this. 4 more hours? no thanks. 20 mins just to open the box, dude!!
You say the 60D is not weather sealed at 11:50... It is.
I'm a bit disappointed that the 60D/70D is much more of a consumer DSLR unlike the more pro-sumer 50D.
AND???????
Magnet woman is a babe!
this camera is weather sealed haha.
Greengo, lol
photoshop lightroom
Thank you this helps me with my new 60D.
