No gym but lots of biking, and I cut out a lot of drinking. Trying to cut it out completely. After I’ve done that I’ll start at the gym I think. My goal is to live as long as possible for my kids!
@@JKenjiLopezAltvery good goal and very worth it! Thanks a lot for the education and stuff dude. I show my girlfriend your videos when we are in bed and it makes her want to cook now!
You're looking as good as the slices. You must have a rockin' metabolism. Thanks for the tourist tips. We'll be sure to hit the spots on the next visit.
Was just visiting Seattle last week, first time in the city, and was able to check out not only Post Alley but also the amazing Saint Bread! Enjoyed both!
Grew up in CT/NY and Kenji you are spot on with the recommendation! Went for the first time last week and it didn’t disappoint. One of the best slices in town!
This was my favorite lunchtime pizzeria when I worked downtown before the pandemic upturned everything. Good to see they are still thriving, I was worried that we would lose a real Seattle jewel.
Third time is a charm. I wish this place was there when I lived there 7 years a go, my slice shop slices were soggy and I had to reheat them in my oven to make them crispy.
Looks great. As you said it doesn't really look like a NY slice.. the airholes in the rim crust are more open and its darker than most trad NY slice places make it, but it looks great.
You should come over to Frans Chocolates on 1st ave. Great shop right by post alley, great history to it too that any worker there (like myself) can tell you about
Thank you for sharing all these Seattle pizza spots! Been adding them to a list. Have you tried Italian family pizza on Madison St., its one of my favorites.
Their bottoms look so good, was that semolina? Been having issues with rigidity on the bottoms of my pizzas for a lil while and need something to strengthen it.
It’s not a competition. They’re very different cities with different scenes. There is no pizza like this in NY, and there doesn’t need to be. I use NY pizza just as a point of reference people are familiar with to show how this one differs.
We're so happy to be one of your daughter's favorites for a day in Seattle! Thank you for the continued support, can't wait to see you again soon!
🦦🍕
Gee, you look great, Kenji. Dividing your time between the gym and the pizza shop, I'll bet. Great posts as always, and thanks for Food Lab and Wok.

@@JKenjiLopezAlt Good for you, man. I was also going to comment that you're looking slim and healthy!
It’s paying off, you look bright and healthy.
Kenji loosing the chub looking like a new man
Looks awesome! I love that you give location details along with ideas on what to do nearby. As a very visual person I appreciate the map glimpse too.

Saved it to the "want to go" list. That pizza looks great, but the sandwich is throwing next-level vibes.
The production quality in these shorts is so good
I will have to try this place one day. Pineapple, Jalapeno, and Pepperoni is my perfect pizza, and that slice looks great!
I definitely will check this out when I visit seattle early next year!
thanks kenji! love the recs. Keep these comign!

This rec was so good, thanks for sharing! Do you keep a list of any other Seattle food that you love?
i reallyy want to see Seattle, last of us part 2 is my fav game and i want to visit all the locations!
They’re all here!
We know of one location featured in the game we recommend visiting! 👀
I walk by here all the time but never stop in. Thanks for the incentive to visit, Kenji!

Definitely gotta get the jazz spread. So many great places to eat in that area.

Hey Kenji
You should make a video about sodium nitrate in the charcuterie world ! I’m curious about your opinion in order to demystify it
You look fantastic Kenji

0:18 gives me Hannah-Barbera's cartoons flashbacks... got nice stash of VHS tapes with them.
good times
Thanks for shouting out the sister locations! Saint Bread is much closer!
Have you tried Proletariat Pizza in White Center? They are pretty close to a NYC slice.
I have not!

dang now I want pizza. that looks gooood.
MUCH better sound balance!
Old school pizzeria in downtown Olympia was my spot growing up!!
I am going to Seattle in November. I will add this to the list!
kenji you're lookin fit as heck these days.
Kenji the background music isn't loud enough, you need to turn it way up.
😂

Hey Kenji, I know its not your usual content, but could you do a short sometime on how you do your current hair?
3rd times a charm :) love PAP!
That Hoagie looked bombed!
Kenji lookin slim! :)
Kenji, I want the secret to simultaneously eating a lot of delicious food AND losing weight. Whatever you’re doing, keep it up!
The secret is you don’t eat a lot. Eat just the right amount.
@@JKenjiLopezAltgenius!
Hi, I'm James Alt. Nice to meet you
I haven’t had pizza in ages and ages and I’m in NY. Yours looks delish! Thanks for the reminder, we’ll get a pie this weekend.
By the way, Kenji, I have to say that you look fantastic, you have lost a lot of weight and I bet you feel sooo much better!!
Just noticed that too, Herb.
The pizza looks fine. That HOAGIE looks downright inviting!
It's a block from my office, so I go a few times a month
😂😂😂
Slice and a hoagie

Hi Kenji!
I like the idea of these videos but watching portrait format on my computer is just too weird. :(

Best pizza show on UA-cam already.

Lost weight eh?

Is a hoagie just a pannino?
you looking older brother, the sharp edges are coming in
First comment 🎉❤

You look like you've lost weight. 👍🏻
It's easy to have a good pizza in Seattle, all you have to do is make one because there sure isn't much for competition...
First
Kenji trying to make Seattle compete with NYC with these pizza and bagel vids! No chance... but nice try
