I do it and it makes me gag no matter how I hold it in my mouth I've tried to keep it behind my ear and it always ends up in my pie hole without me even noticing 25 years and no change in habit
I am a young carpenter in Washington state, in the US. We ship the best timber harvested in our forested state to Japan because the Japanese appreciate and will pay for quality lumber. Love the channel and the obvious care taken through every step of your projects. There is nothing more beautiful than a skilled person at work.
Beautiful! I prefer this kind of entrance than having so many painted surfaces. It makes a home or any building more welcoming, showing this natural wood.
Now this is a good woodworking channel. A real craftsman doing real woodwork. The Japanese combination machine is side by side instead of over and under, a much better system. Love this channel.
It is very interesting watching you build such beautiful works of art for your customers. I hope the your customer's appreciate all your hard work. Stay safe.
Beautiful to watch you work my friend. Extreme skill, knowledge & joy in what you do is SO evident. Fabulous job again, what more can I say. Great job, Don from South Aust.
I have a lot of respect for your work and love of the details, that you show. If i was a younger man i would like to apprintes for you back then. keep up the most great work
Hello! I admire your work and your skills!!! what you are doing is really beautiful work!!! I greet you very warmly!!! what kind of wood did you use in this project, it looks beautiful!!! greetings again from Poland
Im really amazed at the level of detail. Imin central Texas. Shoyan seems very active. Attention to detail and honor and integrity in craftsmanship. This is why i admire Japans work in everything. Hope the channel keeps growing. Looking forward to seeing the next project.
Wow, some of the machines/tools you have access to in Japan are phenomenal! I may have to get some imported to Australia, would make fine carpentry far easier to achieve!! 😅 love your work, shoyan!
I'm in America, I had the chisels, squares, and ink/chalk lines imported. Along with some unique Makita power tools. I bought my tools 15 years ago, yes expensive. But I found I took better care of those tools.
I wish I could afford to hire you and bring you to America to work on my house. But I will have to be content watching you do your work here on UA-cam.
You'll probably notice they use impact drivers for basically everything including general drilling operations onsite. These auger bits don't have threaded centers and have a 1/4" Hex shaft made for drivers. These look to be Star-M bits and they are excellent.

A carpenter holding his pencil in his mouth. Some things are universal.
And hitting your thumb/fingers sometimes.

thank you very much, I remember the previous episodes, but today the wood used had a much richer pattern, hence my inquiry!!! Regards

Most are available here in north america, but you usually have to go through specialized tool dealers and they have a large price tag.
I will never get one for myself, but I'm in awe with that tenon cutter with 4 circular saws at once.
@@Felipera_ That thing is gnarly! 4 ways to lose a finger! 😅
@@silentmoonwoodworkandcarpe3346 that thing is some Bond villain level trap!

I doubt that material such this air dried Japanese cedar would be available here! The lumber he uses is all of such high quality!
@@robertbrewer2190 specifically grown for sustainable harvest too. But I'd find a way to import it too. Just don't have the money, lol.
Absolutely gorgeous
Out of interest, why use the auger bit in an impact driver? Do those auger bits not have a threaded centre?

@@hurcorh I've long coveted the Star-M bits that Workshop Heaven sell. The F-type ones look very snazzy!
Beautiful
I really enjoy seeing you work you are such a great inspiration. What model of hikoki impact driver do you use??
Super nice!
Gracias maestro por compartir de su conocimiento y experiencia es muy valioso para quienes estamos aprendiendo de este magnifico oficio !
Utsukushī 😇
Just discovered you channel and I love it! What do you spray on the jointer?
Can you provide the make and model number of the super surfaces you use?
Hello. What brand is the pink tape measure? Thanks
What's the purpose? Aesthetics ?
👍
😃😃😃
Beautiful, to bad it gets painted.
It is a shame that it will be painted.
Quite like the grey weathered look to be fair
I think it wastes a lot of wood
Disapointing they want it painted... 😞
Beautiful louver, ugly door!
Narrator: are you German or did you learn English from a German teacher?
I believe he is the carpenter's son, so definitely Japanese.
De tool's
