- Drop in on 5 foot wall at my local park. It felt good, but as always the first couple were a little scary. Worked on a little transition skating as well and had a blast, though I was trashed from a week of solid skating, my poor knee can only take so much abuse!
This is so fire. I wish you live around here! Keep pushing fam.
Really great to see you switching up from inline to skateboard and back again. I did both as a kid but skateboarding is the one I took up again and started vlogging. Might have to start introducing the blading too!
I skateboarded as a kid and off and on (mostly off) my whole life, and only picked up the inline last fall when my 20 year old son wanted to try it. When I'm with him I inline, and when alone, I skateboard. I'm sure I would progress faster if I stuck to just one, but I really enjoy the variety and there are no lack of challenges with either of them. Good luck on the vlogging!
@@theaverageoldguy I just wonder if going forwards up the ramps rather than standing sideways on a board might be a bit strange to adapt to but maybe soon I'll buy some blades and find out 😁
@@DadLeisureSkateboarding If I do them both in the same session as I did this past week, it does take an adjustment, but if I do them on different days, its not bad. The big difference for me is not the stance so much as the front to back balance, the inlines being so much shorter, I tend to want to fall backwards for a while when I go from the board to the inlines in the same session.
Do those fakie pumps help strengthen and loosen up your knees? Or does it make them worse?
The fakie pumps feel OK on my knees though I know I don't crouch down like I should. My right knee is the bad one and its the front on kick turns and takes the brunt of the abuse especially if its a tight transition and it eventually is what ends a session.
