Hey Chris! I love the videos, I’m currently taking the course to become a home inspector, I’ve found your videos super helpful in having some real world scenarios that line up with the coursework I’m studying. My biggest question to you, would be about CE. I’ve thought very hard about have a wood destroying insects certification, as I’m based in Texas as well and see that a lot, but my question is what other types of extra certification would you recommend that would help me stand out and be above the average person? All while staying relevant to Texas

    • @AActionHomeInspectionHouston

I beleive AHIT is out there and Internachi, Home inspections are not regulated out there and there is only one rule. You can not work on the house you inspect. That is it, so be careful and make sure you have a good coach or really know what you are doing. Without regulation this opens you up to more lawsuits.

@@AActionHomeInspectionHouston that makes sense, I was just curious being in my area 2500sqft inspection runs around $300. I was curious where the profit would be with multiple inspectors.

I met a female inspector and she told me to join an electrician apprenticeship. I will soon apply to one. All she did was come over and chalk some things on her clipboard. I believe she was making $50 an hour in new mexico this was and her daily vehicle was provided. they can make even more

You now made a potential leak into a for sure roof leak. Yes it's not a proper repair but you literally just created a leak... Home inspectors should never peel caulking off.
