- Well, this was supposed to be up on Christmas Day. However, I threw it together quick and started it uploading only to find out today it didn't upload because it was 5 sec. too LONG! Arrrgh!!! This is what happens when you are in the middle of moving and the holidays and when your DSL is not moved yet so the computers are at the old place. sigh
Here is my original verbiage...
Merry Christmas and a Happy new Year! We are still without a computer connection at the new house so this is a VERY quick edit of the last week in the new house with Jake, our new Cardigan Welsh Corgi and instant family member!
I hope you and yours have a wonderful holiday season! More from us after Jan. 2nd!
Oh Debbie, where you live is so beautiful :-)
I love your house too and Jake is so adorable. The cats are very good accepting him into their family too
I hope you have a VERY happy 2009
Love n Hugs
My husband, Rafe, says he reminds him of a Border Collie too. But he is the lesser known breed of Corgi. The Pembroke Corgi is smaller, tailless and comes in fewer colors. But Pembrokes are the kind the Queen Mother of England loved and also the ones featured in Tasha Tudor's books. Cardis are not as common, but wonderful!
Jake is precious. I can't believe how well the cats are accepting him - cleaning one's ear? Wow. The snow is gorgeous - the view out your windows is worth all that you've had to go through to get in there. Wow. Wishing you a wonderful 2009 in your new home with your new dog. Yay!!!!!
We got the same stuff yesterday! 59 degrees the weatherman said. Today, windy as all hell! Mother Nature must love variety, after all, it is said to be the spice of life! LOL
Jake is a beautiful dog! What a nice guy he looks like. You yard looked like mine did last week! Stay warm!
Yes, but not from a shelter. I was in contact with his breeder in PA about 3 yrs ago and she remembered i was looking for an adult dog. So the woman that had Jake has health issues and could no longer keep him. She happened to be in CT too so we went to visit and it was love at first sight! I have always wanted a Cardi, and if I could have picked the perfect dog it would have been him!
Hope your 2009 is wonderful, Twish! Yes, the cats are being wonderful, but still cautious. Mostly because of the new house, which they hadn't been into before. We do live in a beautiful part of the country, but an expensive part! We are having to tighten the belt even more these days!
Moving sucks, Alesha, I really dread the process. I did find box 2 of 2 of my dishes and the silverware! So that is progess! LOL Glad you liked Jake, he is awesome!
He is a cutie! He just turned three at the end of November, he is a combination puppy and old man! LOL
What a cutie. WOW lots of snow..Brrrr!
I think you like your new puppy :)
I found box 2 of 2. LOL!!!
Happy New Year, Lea!
OMGosh!! Jake the Corgi!!! I am so totally in love with Jake!!
Corgi's are my favorite breed, if ya didn't know! LOL :0) Great to meet your new family member. Hooray!!
He's just beautiful!
Hope you had a great Christmas! Have a safe New Year!
Hi Barb, yes, lots of snow, right? Except today is almost 60 degrees...a fluke for sure and the snow is almost gone. Followed of course by lots of MUD. Gack!
jake is a doll baby :)
my dogs are couch potatoes too. though right now fancy and crash are all frisky, its odd that they are not sleeping :)
xoexo
Jake is a sweetheart!
Happy New Year,love!
XX, Gay
He is just too adorable! What state are you in? I'm in Brooklyn, NY, I wish I lived out in the country. I love Kismat too, Happy New Year to you and your family, huggys~ Dora :)
Hey Eden! Yes, Jake is a sweet lump! He is just the most even tempered buddy imaginable. He would love to lick the cats more, but they haven't gotten over the fact that he doesn't want to eat them! :-) Jake says Hi to Fancy and Crash!
Jake is a cute dog and you have a beautiful cat
hai jake =)
hope you found your dishes!
Do you use him as a Therapy Dog?
I did that with my Corgi ages ago. We visited old folks homes and they loved her. I think I just liked it more than she did. LOL
I thought it was amazing that they would look at her, pet her and then they would start to talk about the dog or dogs they had when they were younger. I just loved that! :0)
But my Nutty-dog was more of a meet and greet and leave me alone kind of dog. She loved to meet and greet. But never liked to stick around for love too long.
Jake is a cutie :-)
See, I knew you wanted to know! ;-)
and this is a happy new year??? hahahahaha
it's an orrible new year!
