I genuinely think these hour + long diy videos are the way to go. There’s a ton of woodworking/maker channels on yt and they don’t usually breach past 45 minutes or they’ll make a multi part series. So there is probably a gap in that “market” so to speak for hour + long videos that people can binge

    • @spadeking12

The fact that he involves stories along the video makes it more interesting. So basically yeah , I don't think there's any one who's showing "fun" while talking about something completely unrelated haha.
My advice, just do what you are doing while talking about life in between sometimes lol.

Ive said to the same great woodworking youtubers you've mentioned that the pain, emotions and struggle you put into these types of projects shows in the very best way possible. Ive watched people effortlessly make unique tables and other furniture and you learn nothing of how the ideas came about and you quickly forget the project ever existed. Guys like you, john and Blacktail always put your heart into weird ideas and make us feel like we are there with you through the good bad and leaky disaster that leads to masterpiece the project becomes. Thank you from a truck driver who may never have this kind of skill set and passion for beautiful and functional art work. Always forward ⏩🤘🏼

Side note for the "free" jacuzzi, I was looking at small trucks to buy and someone was selling their "deceased son's" Toyota Tacoma, immediately thought something was up and ignored it. Why? Just stumbled on this channel, and I am very happy that I did. The stories, alongside the goofy jokes, the completely avoidable problems, the stubbornness and everything else that is shown.. it's so human and relatable, while also making everything in the video seem achievable. It's really cool how you took such a mundane concept and made it this absolutely gorgeous work of art. I'm not great with words, so I hope this made at least some sort of sense, but the video really inspired me! You took an existing thing and gave it a completely unique (and borderline insane) spin, and that's something that I can sincerely appreciate. Showing every aspect of the process, including your failures and mistakes with it, is so refreshing. Keep up the incredible content! Don't overwork or stress yourself. I grew up with Team Edge and recently wanted to get into workshopping, the second I started looking into it I see your first upload on this new channel! I seriously love your stuff man, please keep doing what you love

What an interesting idea & result. I'm curious to see what you come up with next. Given your relationship with water, I'd be very interested to see you design an aquascape for a terrarium or aquarium.

Way to persevere, Joey! A fun build to watch and you definitely win the award for determination. Struggle after struggle but you nailed it in the end. Very cool.

From the beginning to about the 1:29:00 mark I was worried.
Then I saw the final reveal and I was shocked.
This is hands down the coolest looking epoxy table I’ve ever seen.
I watch all the big woodworking UA-camrs and none of them have come close to making something this beautiful.
I’d love to see you try to design another one that can be used as a table, has a real waterfall, has the lights and the plant.
Maybe somehow in case the top so the water is under something and the whole table top is useable, but there is still a majestic waterfall involved.
    This is insane. 10/10.

The most entertainment I had in ever watching a video!
I lol many times and will watch it again just because I fell asleep..i wasn't looking to build any kinda table because I do not have tools or ambition like you have .
    I am 61 years old ! 😂
You are brilliant and I love your take on a waterfall table!

The final reveal looks sooo good! I would definitely rate it way more than a 1/10 for eating on it
I do think the pump noise might take away from it a little though

I didn't check the total time of this video before watching it, can't believe I've just watched a whole movie's worth of diy. Since it was a suggested video I knew it had to be good, but every step of the way I kept thinking it would turn out badly. In the end I'm so impressed I would actually love to try to copy that, it looks great!

One thing about watching anothers hardships and mistakes is that you might learn from it. The other part is you might go nuts doing it.
The title is very accurate, it defies logic. Boy Howdy!

Used to watch team edge when I was younger, in no way am I involved in woodworking but always nice to check in and happy you are doing well …you taught a lot of younger people good habits all of you did and now you are teaching an audience that watched you when they were younger about wood working something we could make a career out of thanks for always being a genuinely good person!!

Another great project and video- or should I say… movie?
The length of these videos is truly impressive. I can imagine the amount of time you spent editing and… man… you really do pour your heart and soul into these.

I hope im gonna be youre best friend because im brutally honest and this was ROUGH!
Like you need a spreadsheet or something to keep you organized 🤣. This was the messiest thing ive ever seen.
BUT it was very inspirational to watch as a fellow DIYer and has even stowed some confidence in the fact that maybe i can do it too. What you show that others dont is the real aspect of building, the mistakes. The mistakes and the turns they take you through especially for trying something new or a new builder. And honestly the reveals are way better than any reveals i have ever seen on any other channel. They were crazy cool!
Thanks for keeping it real and keep being creative. What youre doing is awesome :)
