    There are some people that make life interesting.Some are famous some are infamous and some are neither.When they leave this life,they take with them the aura that personifies them and makes the world less interesting.Scott was one of those people.

    Dude, you can't assume it's the after effects of the drugs he used to do that makes him say "um" and "uh" so much. He might be nervous during interviews.
    I remember when I was in school, whenever I had to present something, I would get nervous and say um and uh a lot because due to the nerves I couldn't think of what to say as quick. Lots of people, if they had to talk in front of so many people would freeze up a bit too.

  • @shizzle7642
    @shizzle7642 4 роки тому +8

    A talented musician who’s never been comfortable with the ‘promotion and selling’ aspect of his craft that’s forced upon. He admitted his need to pay ex $60,000 per mo established from the peak of his career and forced to tour as the only means to pay the bills. Like forcing Monet to produce lucrative paintings, tour the world to promote and sell them. An endless merry go round the record business established that artists become prisoner of....... Scott needed to chill, be home with his family with luxury to care for himself and make music purely for the love of craft and thrive.
    He was doing what he had to to survive he needs to be admired for the cost of selling his soul, in order to give what others wanted.

    • @dkg249
      @dkg249 4 роки тому +6

      Mich Mon It’s so ironic that his ex model wife got a fortune per month while he was literally dying. And to pour salt on the wound, after he died, she slammed him in her statement about not being a good father. She knew he wasn’t making as much than when he was at the height of his career. A different, more appropriate sum of money should have been renegotiated by lawyers. Just disgusting. I felt awful for him in that Howard Stern interview. He was having such trouble then and seemed broken. He needed to stop and take care of himself. He might still be here.

      Well said and so true. Mary in the end killed him slowly and boldly! I feel for Noah and Lucy to pull thru all the turbliant times and the passing of their Father, who was one of our generations greatest talents. Scott was a beautiful person. may he be at peace and free.

    A shell of his former self. I’m not sure I’ve seen anyone fall so fast and so hard. The drugs ate this man up in a way that really is saddening. He was so healthy looking when STP’s debut album came out. One can see the devastating effect that his drug use had on him physically in such a short period of time. It really is astonishing.

    • @Cr3Zp089
      @Cr3Zp089 Рік тому +1

      It was 20 years between STP debut and him becoming "a shell". You think it's so fast for a bipolar person? Imo he was fighting for so long.

But man these guys are even after death just such a light to people with addictions and that's probably why he sold so many albumns because there are millions of people that can relate

    So shy and full of insecurity and anxiety… I mean you can feel it.
    But also go and get up on a stage in front of tens of thousands and lead a band with conviction and charisma??
    Quite astonishing contrasts.
    It’s hard to believe that many great prolific entertainers had/have the same social anxieties yet would thrive in the spotlight.

  • @adrianlee3497
    @adrianlee3497 2 роки тому +4

    Scott had great difficulty expressing himself. I saw him on Howard Stern hawking his book and it was definitely about money he owed to his ex Mary and the toll it obviously took on Scott, not to mention the baggage he carried for all his life, it's not a wonder he couldn't stay clean.

    Awesome that drugs unleash your mind and allow you to create beautiful, insightful music.
    Sucks that drugs eventually prevent you from speaking fluently, restricting your ability to string together comprehensive sentences.

      @Lisa Surlie keep your negative comments to yourself. We were all gifted with such a wonderful man and creator in Scott. For 3 decades he gave us many wonderful memories and talent in his music. In the end, it was the poorly prescribed manic meds, the toxicity of booze, financial struggles, estraninment from his children and most of all the enabling company that he kept that really didn't care about his health and well being. We all miss him dearly and now I hope he has found Peace!

    Everybody is such a judgmental twat, he's not fried or tweaked, he is just trying really really hard to not say fuck or shit or any other word that would get him in trouble at a BARNES AND NOBEL. The guy is a genius, and anyone talking about his condition is just full of garbage considering none of us were his friend and have no possible way of knowing the extent of Scott Weiland's functionality. If you ask me, he did better than I would've..

    • @missj2045

      Well said. He wasn't reading from a script; He was speaking from his heart. He wasn't known for being a public speaker. As a speaker he may have been ordinary. As an artist and performer, he was both a genius and a legend.
