Sennheiser changed the box
Got mine last week for 23.9k php. Box quality similar to 20$ headphones. I'm pairing it with JDS Labs atom amp + Topping d30 DAC.
Yeah. I was expecting a bit more for the price. I have cheaper headphones that have better cables too.

How sound?
Warm dark with the second best vocal presents the HD 600 does it significantly better better but a brighter and less bass and no soundstage in comparison but still extremely smooth with The buttery nature and no dryness that a lot of intimate headphones can possibly have and also more independent which is a bonus for me

We got it from long & mcquade. it was even sale at the time but it didn't go that far like the price you said. so I say it's too good to be true. but u never know, so If there's a way u can check it first or if they have a good return policy, otherwise it's sus

wow, what a shitty box you get theese days with the new version, it's the same as the massdrop version, too bad. and the cable is worse also, and also it's different plastic casting mould. Overall cheaper than before. As for the sound quality, it's very good, but it's not made to listen on the phone, or pc, you need around 300mw into 300ohm to get them to sing, so an amplifier is a must, the smsl sp200 is a great match, or perhaps the IFI AUDIO ZEN CAN SIGNATURE 6XX AMP.
Yep. Box is definitely underwhelming for the price. and I've seen better cables and built quality from cheaper Headphones.

Honestly i've never been more disappointed in having to pay so much for such a seemingly cheap feeling set of headphones. The box looked cheap. The headset materials felt cheap. Molded plastic with absolutely no personality. Quality of sound with a 200 dollar amp was no better than standard headset companies like HyperX
