Bjørn, I find these repair videos extremely interesting. I am looking forward to see the repair solution for the Tesla Roadster. Neither Tesla or Gruber Motors have found a cell replacement solution, and several Roadsters are off the road until one is found. A video on Nassir’s trip to Italy to repair the S85 would also be very interesting to me. What Nassir is doing with EV Hub is very impressive, and much needed. I did not realize that Nassir was not only finding diagnostic and repair solutions for his shop, but also supporting a network of other shops across Europe. I am very impressed and wish Nassir and EV Hub success.

On early Model S a short drain pipe from the air con condenser (or evaporator?) was dripping water onto the battery. In most but not all cars a longer pipe was fitted along the bracket which supports the ac compressor for the water to drip onto the ground instead.

I for example would like to see a car (frunkenstein) assembled out of the best parts across manufacturers (cherrypicking), just to show how a ev looks like nearly perfect.😁
There seems to be some data and debate that replacing only modules within the battery pack of a Tesla model S can have different voltages and be difficult with the BMS. Glad to see innovation and time with how this goes.
@@rkan2 some debate as in I tend to agree with wk057, but there are others trying it by module. And who am I to get my opinions in the way of their individual efforts, time, and money? I hope those individuals get data, share, and learn something for the community.
You're doing a great thing. I hope you expand to Czech republic by the time my new Kona gets out of warranty. The car is great, but I'm a bit worried about the prices of official parts, so alternatives will be welcome.
1:03 if that's the only problem a quick solder rework of that capacitor could be enough to fix it? Although I don't know how easy that is with what looks like conformal coating on there. And why is the emergency exit blocked with a desk? :D Anyway, it is very cool that the refurbishment industry is getting a bit bigger with EV Hub! Great work of Nassir and his team to get training, buying new tools and evolving the industry by sharing knowledge. It's so far the only worry of mine with EV's, the deep serviceability of them without spending a lot of money at the manufacturer.
The fact that Tesla batteries are cheaper $ / kWh for replacement is so important and all these social media posts never mention that fact when they act shocked by the price.. it's rarely mentioned. I do hope that they can reduce prices a lot in the future so we can continue to sustain all these perfectly fine older Teslas.
It,s nice that there is an option to Tesla,s changing battery option. Their price to me, was 150 to 250k with 4 years warranty. I have a 2014 model s registrated in mars, so now I,m on my own to put it that way. I, m worried due to the battery history of my car. Battery 1 lived for 4.5 years 110k, second battery only 1 year 20k,. This battery stoped working witout any warnings, which battery 1 had. 3 battery sitting in the car now, is from December 2019, with a milage of approx, 50k. Hopefully it will go on for a while. Also very pleasent to hear abot your remote service in Italy on a model 85, I have some possible plans driving to Spain. Then whish you good luck in the future with your EV HUB project.
We repair EVs since 2017 in Eastern Europe. It's very interesting to see that Norway which is the most electrified country is starting the EV repairs that late. I would guess that this is because most cars in Norway were warranty cars since 1-2 years ago.
Norway has several EV repair shops since more than 10 years ago, back then there were mainly hybrids and short range EV like Think , Buddy and some French makes like Citroen and others. Now the demand for battery service /repair is rising quite fast , the old Tesla mod S batteries are out of warranty and I think there is more demand for especially alternative service companies. The cost for replacement batteries is driving this , as well as growing buisiness opportunities
This is highly interesting stuff, and i think collaboration is a good way to show the future and entertain the crowd. But I also like your way to test things. 👍
