  • The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, or Evo for short, is a road-going rally car built to punish the pavement and dirt faster than its rival, the Subaru STI. The Mitsubishi Lancer Evo RS is the stripped-down, lightweight racer version. Special paint, no radio, no air conditioning, amongst an array of other factory-installed features (or lack thereof) keep the weight down and allow racers the perfect platform to begin rally racing with. The 2,500 pound Mitsubishi Lancer Evo RS simply dances on the street with its turbocharged engine and all-wheel-drive system. After all, it hardly has any weight to move around. Special thanks to Derek from Northeast Auto Imports of Hudson, New Hampshire for blessing me with this opportunity to take out his Mitsubishi Evo RS. I'm forever thankful! After owning an Evo VI for the past 3 years... all I can say is that you don't buy 1 for luxury or anything close to that... you buy it for an experience that literally no car can even come close to now or even back then... these things literally dig into the tarmac when giving them some hard acceleration and give you such a rewarding drive

I love the turbo blow off valve sound on this thing, haha. I would rev it all the time just for that

The GSR definately had AC, my Evo 3 GSR has power windows, power mirrors, automatic climate control and an electric sunroof. And its still only 2850lbs

@@DriveHub you did a great job man. I assume he hasn't fixed the 5th gear synchro though? Otherwise it was a great car.

@@DriveHub The original owner was an American military guy stationed in Japan. The car was used in some sort of showroom stock stage rally. The car actually had an AEM 340lph in tank pump and ID1000cc injectors that I installed. And those parts and the haltech was just to help modernize the car and add a little safety.

Well... I love Evos but Subies just look better, sound getter and are more interesting engine wise 😊
