Alicia Malone is a wonderful TCM host. She’s a great successor to the late Robert Osborne. I hope she stays on TCM for several more years. I enjoy watching her comments on several of my favorite films
I was once lucky enough to see Ruta Lee play the title character in "The Unsinkable Molly Brown" at the Casa Manana Theater in Fort Worth.
She was sparkling that night! I've never forgotten it.
Still her vivacious self. She's outlasted almost everybody. Hardly a week went by when I was growing up that she wasn't guesting in some tv show, drama or comedy, and always a lively talk show guest. So great to see her. Thank you. And, I agree, TCM is the only reason I would ever pay for cable.
Wish I could see her. Ruta, that is.
We love you too Ruta Lee! I was present at the Singin' in the Rain tribute to Debbie Reynolds screening back in 2017 and it was a privilege to have you share your wonderful thoughts and stories on your dear friend. Thanks for this interview and it was fun live tweeting Singin' in the Rain earlier today on TCM.
Still a beautiful woman. I believe she was one of Sinatra's girlfriends. He always had great taste in women. They were all beauties.
@6:02 find someone in life who looks at you the way Alicia looks when talking about classic movies.
I saw Ruta at Casa in three musicals and a play. The musicals were Call
Me Madam, Gypsy and South Pacific. The play was Same Time, Next Year.
Love Ruta Lee. Disappointed that her audio was scratchy. Nevertheless, good to hear from her.
Ruta definitely needs photographic help. Wish we could see her better. She’s one of the most beautiful woman ever.
I'd never have kids, but If I had a daughter ?I'd name her Ruta Lee,or Merle Oberon,Inexplicable Maverick Ladies!!:)
