What is Mario saying in his sleep? - Super Mario Odyssey

- We couldn't believe our ears: Mario actually says A LOT of things in his sleep, if you let his idle animation go on!
We've counted more than 30 different types of pasta, including regional specialties - plus some other Italian words/expressions (such as "mamma mia!", Bologna, amore).
Damn they actually recorded Charles Martinet in his sleep
They just follow him around and record him
I think they put him in a cage.

I like when he says "Pici", he kinda laughs at how it sounds like "Peachy".
And that's not the only food reference that can be interpreted as a Peach reference too. When he says "capelli d'angelo" he could be referring to Peach's long, flowing hair and the fact that she is essentially his angel

Perhaps Mario dreams of reuniting with his mother in Bologna (Probably where his family lived before moving to The Mushroom Kingdom), enjoying all his favourite dishes alongside his true amore. . .Princess Peach.
That is just bloody adorable!
Apparently, i heard somewhere that Mario's parents are immigrants and he never actually lived in italy despite having italian blood.
I'm not sure if that's true, maybe those informations were fake, but still.
Edit: what a fool i am, of course that shit is fake. still makes for some good headcanons tho.
@@EternalTheMandarinGoddess yeah that is fake as hell
That's a nice theory.
Mario spent his early childhood in the mushroom kingdom. From there he went to earth and lived in Bologna. When him and his brother became adults, they moved out and lived in Brooklyn. From there, you can guess what happens next.

Mario is a truly dedicated sleeper if he can sleep with a fire hyrdant hosing him down
He can also sleep completely submerged in the fountain in Peach's back courtyard in Mario 64. _Do not_ question his sleeping skills!
Moral of the video: Luigi watches Mario sleep
Well, in this game, Mario has a lot of Italian stereotypes. One of them, if you noticed is that he is sleeping a lot, outside of his "aircraft" in nature. That's because the Mediterranean people are sleeping more than other people from another country, and wherever they want, especially outdoors.
