Injustice Lex is probably my favourite version of Lex Luther, I find normal Lex pretty one note as character but injustice Lex especially in the comics has such a great conflict on what he should do to Superman because he is his friend and the line " your peace is a joke" is surprisingly powerful coming from someone who was Superman's friend
RedSon Lex is my favorite, especially the ending where we get to see a world where Lex Luthor gets rid of Superman, so as a result his focus changes from trying to defeat superman and villainous deeds into advancing humanity and uniting and turning the Earth into a utopia under his leadership. Makes you wonder how Lex Luthor would have been in the main universe if Superman wasn't in the picture, would he had advanced humanity and help turn it into a utopian society?
No I think this because while superman has all the heroic colors if you look it up you can see purple is the color of amibition power luxury and nobilty look it up and the green means growing healing and nature this shows that while lex author plays the good guy he can also becomes the bad guy
Well in terms of color design, while red and blue are generally seen as "heroic" by American audiences, green and purple are generally seen as "evil". So, quick way for artists to make you tell who the good and bad guy is immediately just by looking at them is to color them that way.
6:47 Justice Lords universe's Lex's speech to Superman is great. "You could have crushed me any time you wanted to and it wasn't the law or the will of the people that stopped you. It was your ego."
For Justice League Unlimited (the cartoon show), the show’s producer said that Luthor and Darkseid were trapped in the Source Wall, a fate honestly worse than no death
I haven't watched the video yet but I'm gonna wager my liver that Lex's death from Justice League or JLA is on the list. Edit: upon watching it, even though I was right, I was surprised that you didn't mention the ultimate fate of Darkseid and Lex. In JLA, one of the late producers of the show explained that Darkseid and Lex became part of the Source Wall, trapped. So they're not dead... But they aren't really alive either.
According to Dwayne McDuffie, anybody who solves the Anti-life Equation becomes a permanent part of the Source Wall. This is the fate of both Darkseid and Lex Luthor.
I actually paused to read Lex's will and it's so interesting how humorous it is, from the thought of him actually surviving and laughing beside Batman watching the holographic video together to the idea of creating a robot A.I. to replace him but deciding against it (which I agree with personally).
That death really sucked in my opinion. Season eight just wasted him. They just planted a bomb on his car, and that was the end. I love the show a ton, but his death was lame.

7:30 best line of defence ever uttered about why Batman and Superman dont kill was in the "Batman: Under The Red Hood" animated film. "Jason Todd: What? What, your moral code just won't allow for that? It's too hard to cross that line? Batman: No! God Almighty, no! It'd be too damned easy. All I've ever wanted to do is kill him. A day doesn't go by when I don't think about subjecting him to every horrendous torture he's dealt out to others and then... end him. Joker: Awwww! So you do think about me. Batman: But if I do that, if I allow myself to go down into that place, I'll never come back."
Dude, the reason Lex Luther was defeated by Superman in the Injustice video game was, because Shazam stopped him from firing a kryptonite weapon at Superman and you mentioned that in your video, which is about the 5 best deaths in Injustice.
@@TevyaSmolka Yes he did. Using a specialty made lightning rod Prime Luthor shouted "Mazahs!" summoning a lightning bolt which traveled down the rod turning Mazahs back into his human form where he was stabbed to death by Prime Luthor. Thinking about it, is that murder or suicide?
TheSonOfTheDragon yup that’s right and in fact I think it was because of that act he actually did try to become a hero kinda sort of heck it was also thanks to that act he actually took up the mantle of Superman when new 52 Superman actually died, which was really interesting in my opinion.
personally i think my favorite death is in justice league dark, apocalypse war, wear he literally holds off a horde of para demons just to give lois a few more seconds to talk to superman
Superman can react and move at light speed, he EASILY could have non lethally stopped Luther from setting of nuclear weapons, but he just CHOSE to kill him instead. Dang, that show was so good.
Thanks for the great list. I only knew a few of those deaths. However, in my opinion, the absolute best death of Lex Luthor is how he meets his end, in the pages of The Black Ring - and The Joker knew what would happen and he let Lex find his own way to his doom, just because he thought it would be funny. Luthor even encountered Death Of The Endless, on his quest.
Aang is hope, Zuko at beginning is shame, at the end hes willpower, Azula is Fear, Iroh is probably white latern, Kattara is harder but im gonna guess willpower also.
I like the 3d death and your message people need a line they cannot cross because the moment you do cross it you'll keep moving it until you've become what you once feared and set that original line to prevent.
I think a lot of the deaths in injustice were so powerful because there was no implication of them coming back to life. Then injustice 2 happened and they resurrected black canary and green arrow
Black canary never really died since in the tie-in comics, it was implied she was badly injured and would have die had Dr Fate not step in and help her. As for Green Arrow, he is from alternate universe where he lost his Black Canary, not the same Green Arrow who died trying to reason with superman so its not a resurrection as it not like they found their dead bodies and brought them back to life (since one is from an alternative universe and the other was barely alive and *WOULD HAVE* died had no one helped her)
In Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow, he basically has his brain hijacked by Brainiac. My favorite is in the Crisis on Infinite Earths, where Earth 2 Lex is betrayed by himself from Earth 1. Classic Lex.
7:23 this moment always puts a smile on my face as manhunter diana and John are able to hold their own against Supermen clones where as the original superman gets ragdolled😂
Sure Injustice was the likely best, but I personally loved the end of Smallville season 7. Lex confronting Clark in the FOS capped off Rosenbaum's tenure as the character in one of the best scenes in the series!
0:06-0:16 I just realized that it must have taken some Green Lantern-level willpower for the writers at DC not to use Luthor to take shots at Trump. They're practically the same person.
Remember when Lex Luthor was a known criminal who hated Superman because he made him bald, and somehow both got the money for crazy inventions while never just selling them? Peppridge Farm remembers
For that last one, you completely glossed over the fact that Shazam crippled Luthor's suit with lightning before Superman even touched him. That was the sole reason the scene ended like that.
why do people in the CW not know how a gun works? they pull the trigger and their arm doesn't even move or the slide doesn't even kick back. it makes tense scenes lose so much suspense when nothing happens.
You absolutely should have mentioned Shazam in Luthors injustice death, Luthor would have succeeded if it had not been for shazam's meddling which funnily enough led to his death later. Not to mention the fact he was not strangled, his neck was broken
Superman is a Kryptonian and he knows the Kryptonians tend to be a lot more one-dimensional than humans. Whenever they do something they go full in, so he doesn't kill because he knows he would do it again and again and he wouldn't try to stop himself
Now Lex Luther did have another death in the DCAU where in another parallel universe him and Superman teamed up to make Metropolis "Safe". In the end the Lois Lane from the normal DCAU is able convince Superman that this isn't a good partnership. It ends with Lex's ship crashing into his own statue.
I like the death in Red Son. Luthor has a happy ending improving humanity so that they meet and solve every challenge that comes before them. Except the end of the Earth.
9:12 I'm disappointed that this wasn't a scene in Superman Returns, there should have been a scene in Superman Returns where Superman finds Lex Luthor's yacht, rescue Lois and Jason and then deal with Lex Luthor

Or maybe it's a sign that he lives in green (money).
