The most important thing is to eliminate processed grains! Not just a gluten free diet, but a processed-grain-free diet. Try it and see how much better you feel. Also take B12 daily in the form of methylcobalamin.
Vax injuries are a lot higher too to those that have the MTHFR gene.
This is correct. I see someone read the South Africa long covid study.
Not according the vax 'fact-checkers' Lol. They don't want any negative vibes towards their shots!
Tested and found mutated A222v
More prone to blood clots/heart attacks
100% correct!
Thank you for saying that. I had severe reactions to my vaccinations as a child. Only finding out about MTHFR in my late 30s.
I just found out I have this gene mutation. Fairly certain my kids do to. My Dr told me to get Thorne 5-MTHRF 1mg methlyfolate. I'm praying it helps
Taking a folic acid supplement instead of a methylated version was the worst thing I've ever done to my health - it was 4mg prescription folic acid to correct a deficiency and it fucked me hard.
Folic acids d doesn’t help. People need folate methylated
You have given some of the Best Information to people on how MTHFR affects us. Thank You~!
Looking back to my childhood, I can see a lot of red flags as an adult. Didn't have epilepsy or any learning disability that I am aware of. I did however have a lot of anxiety, the occasional panic attacks. Air hunger, etc etc.. I've always been a poor sleeper. My Mom used to tell me that as a baby, I rarely ever took naps. I've struggled with insomnia on and off for years. As a child, I also had chronic sinus infections and two sinus surgeries by the age of 8. Allergies, food intolerances, and at one point, even displaying asthmatic symptoms, but somehow I overcame that.
how are u nowadays? wich mutation have u got?
@@andreagarzia2181 For the most part, pretty good. It all depends on how faithful I am to my regime. If I slip back into old habits, a lot of these problems/symptoms return. It's a good warning for me to stay grounded and make healthy choices.
As for what mutation? MTHFR as far as I know.
I am a 50 yrs old future , future nurse. At 49, my father finally announced that my mother drank - a lot while she was pregnant. I’ve struggled. A lot. On my way to get my undergrad AA and then onto the real world stuff. I will be great nurse. Just need to get smarter, and more regulated, emotionally.
God bless y’all I’ll let you know when I graduate 🇺🇸💪🏻🙏🏻🫶🏻📚
Cheering you on to your goals! ❤
Great video!
Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much. So Informative
At age 44, I am someone who grew up with a learning disability and, I have clinical depression and clinical OCD. I should probably get tested for this mutation. I have severe intestinal problems. I eat gluten free in part but, not 100%.
Amazing!!! Thank you!!! May God richly bless you and your family!!!!🙏⛪️💕😀
They say borderline personality disorder as well linked to mthfr and people are curing it with carnivore diet etc
Thank you very much
Thank you!!!!
Can you do a video on dosing for kids?
Avoid sugar, dyes, preservatives, gluten, and dairy. Yes, there is still plenty of good food.
Holy shit the perfumes and smells. I wouldn't get a scent out my nose and I would get agitated at high perfume or people spraying things around me, and bug sprays and cigarette smoke would give me a headache or I'd hate it or any smoke altho I use to smoke when younger
same
I struggle with them as well.
Hello writing from Mongolia, do you know which country takes blood test of MTHFR? Thanks
Hi, new subscriber here!
Could you let me know if you recommend Liposomal B Supreme? What Methyl Folate do you recommend??
I just started using Pure Encapsulation Folate 400. I seem to tolerate it okay. It’s available in 1000, too, but I wanted to start low. I haven’t been taking it long enough to speak to whether it has made any improvements in my health.
So do you notice a behavior change in the kids when they do intake folic acid?
im 33 and just finding out, my SIBO, anxiety and depression is gone now
@Turtle206
They are gone because of treating the mthfr? I have sibo and depression amongst other symptoms and just found out I have the mthfr mutation.
I have experienced very severe neurological disorders with the use of PPIs.
I have the characteristics under methylation _ I learned this with my own research after the disorder_
I can't get rid of paresthesias, especially pins and needles.
What can you suggest me about this?thanks thanks
I've had the pins and needles on and off for years. Muscle twitching as well. Supplementing with a good methyl-B complex is a good start. Do you have high homocysteine levels? If so, lowering them with B vitamins can reduce and alleviate that.
Do you know of any places in the Bay Area (Daly City, CA) that specializes with the MTHFR?
Functional medicine MD's should be able to help you.
I had blood work done in 2015 because I have thyroid issues that came out of nowhere. And now I really think they’re stemmed from the fact that I found out I have that mutation. I kept all my paperwork and my daughter is having symptoms in her 20s and she believes she may have the mutation as well I have the hetero polymorphism one. I was advised to take methyl folate but I’m kind of lazy with pills now that I know she’s struggling we both are going to take methyl folate would b12
I grew up with this before it could be diagnosed and it affect cognitive development as a child and adults. The methylated b complex is great also take. L carnitine. D3. And co q 10. Also a good veggie diet for added heath us exercise. It really helps.
Do you know if this could cause swelling when using deodorants and cleaning supplies.
I will literally gain weight and my arm will swell if I use deodorant. So now I only use it for special occasions.
If I touch cleaner my hand will swell. Even if I wear jewelry my body will start to swell and feel irritated (real or fake)
Yes, I use a salt stick deodorant. I even started making my own, but it caused a rash. I use vinagar and H2O2 to clean with. I don't detox and use Lipospheric Glutathione to help with detox. May God Bless You~!
I suffered from the same issue. My reactions included severe itching. The only deodorant I can wear is Degree. I went to 6 dermatologists before I went to an allergist and found over 40 allergies causing Contact dermatitis. The inflammation and itchy skin almost took me down. I'm on Dupixent now and manage it well. Try Degree
Sequencing is a great DNA test too
Some people say that MTHRA is no big deal. You can treat it or not. 47 just had genetic testing and I have it. I have Hashimoto’s, anxiety, moodiness, depression, early menopause, osteoarthritis and fibromyalgia. What the hell! All I needed to do is take a supplement and eat more vegetables. They should test newborn’s for this. I start taking methylfolate on Monday after talking to my doctor. Very important to talk to your doctor first.
Did you have any improvement with the supplement?
@@k41418 Sadly no, they made me sick.
Most doctors are completely clueless to it, mine said my gene mutation was insignificant but my compound pharmisist didn't he is treating me with the supplement he makes especially and has helped many others.
I have it the best treatment for it is Metagenics - ceralin forte
Is Toxemia /Preeclampsia associated with the Mother having the MTHFR gene~?
Yes!
Yes! I had pre-eclampsia and my daughter was premature.. I found out years later that I had the mutation of MTHFR, I also had PCOS as well as other autoimmune conditions, including vitiligo. My daughter is almost 16 now and is having all kinds of issues and I’m taking her to get tested next Friday
@@beyondfortyfriends5314 I had it with all 3 pregnancies. And had PCOS and am now diabetic with other autoimmune conditions too. You would think Doctors would have figured this out by now. ...... Now in my sibling and our children, the girls show it all early, the boys show it much later.
My child psychiatrist recommended Deplin for autism because a Genomind test found he had low activity for the MTHFR C677T. What are your thoughts on this?
Interesting!
What testing test those levels (low activity) for the mutation you mentioned?
I just found out that I have this and the doctors didn't tell me. I had to look through my medical records myself. I've been treated for depression (treatment resistant) for years and finally got my ADHD diagnosis at 26. This came from the genesight test I took a few years ago.
Is l-methylfolate or folinic acid okay?
folic acid is not okay. you want l-methylfolate.
@@iloverumi folinic not folic
Why would they tell you? Then they cant sell you various prescriptions if they do.
Folinic (not folic) is good if you have both MTHFR and slow COMT
When you read your test results did it say mutation on it ?
Wtf im 37 and i had all those things. I have never heard of thus before tonight. Wtf !!
Many Doctors still are unaware of this Gene. It's relativly new info
I was just diagnosed at 39 after battling breast cancer at 33 and autoimmune disease in my 20s.
The blue vein across the bridge of my Lil girls nose was the first indication for me to look into this.
Oh my Gosh my younger two have this and they both are ADHD
just started the video... is a blue vein on the side of the eye/near temple a similar sign?
how is this related?!
Stork bit birthmarks too
My genome was pretty fked up but I solved the problem. I didn't have any kids and raised two step kids. Why hand off anything but really good genetics to an unsuspecting child.
I have extreme learning problems and other mental issues caused by this , my son is highly intelligent, shoul he be checked
I would test him.
Do you also have depression?
I've got MHTFR deletion #1.
I do have the mutation should I check my son? I have very bad learning disabilities, and he is extremely intelligent
I would
I in your case would test your son.
@Melisa Padilla It's not uncommon to find HIGH IQ with Learning Disabilities in people with MTHFR
Definitely. My son has a high IQ but had adhd with difficulties with writing and speed in which he got his work done.
Can anyone imagine all of these symptoms combined with extreme physical and sexual abuse…
Is it a good idea to take folinic acid?
No. It's very bad for you and builds up in your body. She said that, specifically. Only (methyl)folate.
@@naomiAcronym can this gene cause high homocystein and high cholesterol?
@@gigafia5358 yes it does. In fact you should have a diet rich of green veggies...
I use Pure Methyl Multi vitamin - has everything you need and on Amazon.
Methyl folate important
@@naomiAcronym That's folic acid. Folinic acid is different and safe to take.
I had to slow down your lecture. I have to slow down everything.. -Shane
I am 52 years old and finally have answers. All 5 of my children share many of my symptoms.
I'm 55 and just recently found out l have this mutation and have been really struggling with chron8c fatigue, moodiness, anxiety, depression and overwhelm ever since l was pregnant with my daughter who will be 12 soon! She has many of these symptoms as did l as a kid. I've been supplementing for 2 months now but don't think l feel any different but went up to the full dose 2 days ago, so fingers crossed!
Why can't we just get those giant currupt multibillion dollar corporations to stop spraying our grains and adding to other foods. It's amazing how many corrupt corporations are allowed to continue practices that have been proven to cause health issues. Must have something to do with the public-private partner ships with the government's that are supposed to be working FOR us!!
what is her credentials?
Do your own research! I was very ill and I am so much better thanks to a friend who happen to mention this defect to me.
@@almarios9164 I tested positive for mthfr a couple years back. What changes did you make ?
@@pablight20 take a HIGH quality “Methyl B Complex” supplement. Do not take any vitamins or consume food with folic acid. Your body cannot convert.
@@almarios9164 stupid hysteric women hyperreaction. Right now your maybe feelin '''the vactam''', but u just snapped at a fair and logical question.... Ur in a billion majority now, and noone calls out tox fem. 😒.Take care anyway
You're not a doctor, though. You're making claims that are not evidence-based. :/ As someone who is homozygous for C677T, this is very annoying.
She would not be sharing this info if she was one! Yeesh! Most doctors are not into healing if you haven't noticed by now.
Then stop listening and go find a doctor that speaks to your specific version of MTHFR mutation.
She may not be a doctor but you're definitely an idiot. 😂
How do you know her claims are not evidence based?
